Great host, shady RV spots!

Enjoyed my stay at Dots! Dot was very friendly and accommodating. The RV spots were in the shade of some oak trees. The full utilities worked great and the spot was peaceful, pastoral and quiet. I’ll plan to stay there again if I’m in the area.

Primitive camping in spot 1 was wonderful! Spot came with a fire pit, grill, trash cans, chairs, access to flush toiled and shower (open air shower), and a host who answerd lots of questions promptly!

Me and my family ended up staying at Dots place to give our kids a camping experience and we enjoyed our stay. Dot was quick to respond to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend.

The place is beautiful and Dot is a great host. We were camping during a 3 days long rainstorm. When our car got stuck on the way out, Dot kindly offered us to stay in the dome until the storm was over and the tow truck could help us. We'll come ba k again, hopefully to a drier experience.

We had a great experience at Dot’s Spots! Host was so accommodating for our late night arrival and adjusted our booking to a site that wasn’t as impacted by mud after some rainy weather came through. The location was also terrific as it was close to Pedernales Falls State Park and Wimberly, both which we easily explored in a day. It was the perfect first camping trip with our 18 month old! 10/10 would recommend!

Dot is an insanely accomodating host and worked extremely hard to ensure I had the perfect experience, as did her helping hand, Reza. The space is really lovely with wildlife and a great vibe. Sadly, I wasn’t able to stay when I arrived bc a family emergency came up, but I’ll 1000%. Be returning. Great spot, great people, 10/10 recommend. :)

Good for new or seasoned campers

Dot's spots are great. Each spot has plenty of room to spread out. Lots of good topsoil under the huge century live oak trees makes it a comfortable and pleasant area to hang. The toilet and sink are nice to have. She provides a trash can and some other extras. Would be a good place for new campers to get practice. In our case, we're seasoned campers that appreciated the conveniences! Not too far from everything. We came to fish the Guadalupe. Was ~15 mins to the dam from Dot's property. Would stay there again.

Great First Time Camper Experience!

Dot was very communicative and welcoming! She made sure to know my arrival time so she could meet me and show me my camping spot. I was able to drive my Honda Civic down to the primitive spot without a problem and set up my tent with ease. Dot has thought of everything! Down to motion sensor lights in the outhouse. This is a perfect camping site for beginner and first time campers. I have already recommended this spot to friends and will likely be coming back myself.

Perfect honeymoon getaway!

I loved glamping this weekend at Dot's Spot for my honeymoon getaway! It was quiet and peaceful and we absolutely enjoyed having the curtains open on the side of the dome where you could see the stars in the night sky!! Dorothy had pretty much provided everything we could need to help make our stay as nice as possible. Everything in the small kitchen, our sleeping quarters, and both the small bathroom inside the dome and the private bathhouse outside was well prepared and setup for us before we arrived! Dorothy was extremely helpful leading up to our stay and was very communicative with me. We definitely will be back in the future for another getaway!

I absolutely loved tent camping on Dot's land. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing, my tent placed underneath two gorgeous trees framed my view and the lounge chairs set out for star gazing were just the icing on the cake. I decided to risk the heat but somehow the strong breezes coming off the open meadow next door were exactly what was needed. Dot was super responsive to any questions I had. Thank you! I can't wait to visit again!

We loved staying at Dot's Spot! We stayed at the primitive camp site #2 and our kids and dogs enjoyed it. Dot was very attentive by sending text messages letting us know she was available if needed. Our boys enjoyed the bubbles left for them to play at the picnic table by Dot. We would definitely come back!

Dorothy and her dome were both fantastic. The dome and facilities are exactly as described, plus a bunch of thoughtful touches throughout. The dome is a generous size — more than enough for my friend and I to have a very comfortable stay. The dome and bathroom facilities reserved exclusively for dome guests are in a semi-secluded part of the property, which was nice. Dorothy was in contact as soon as I made the reservation, was accommodating to my travel plans, and always responded quickly. We stayed at the dome because it was close to the Whitewater Ampitheater, but I would definitely go back just to have another glamping experience.

Great camping experience!

This was perfect for my first time camping experience! Dorothy’s property was beautiful and she had everything you could need! A platform for your tent, outhouse with a toilet and sink, shower, fire pit, grill, trash can and recycle and she even gave a cute little bucket that had first aid, disinfectant wipes, lantern, bug spray, etc. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend if you’re looking for a getaway/camping experience on a beautiful property! The sunsets and stars at night were incredible!
