We have a 5 acre homestead/hobby farm that is nestled in the Sam Houston National Forest. We are off the beaten path with beautiful views, peace and quiet and farm animals! We have goats, donkeys, rabbits, a miniature cow, a miniature horse, a pony, ducks, geese, turkeys, peacocks and chickens roaming our property. We just had a new addition Colt who was born on our property March 12th 2023. He is our precious little donkey. We are a semi primitive camping spot. Come and enjoy getting away from the city without going too far. Enjoy the beautiful star filled sky. Feed the animals at 9am and love on them all day. Have your professional pictures taken with some of the animals(additional charge). Buy some farm fresh eggs. We have t-shirts and other merchandise for purchase. We have two above ground pools in our backyard for your enjoyment. We just put in a deck for catch and release fishing. We have a hot tub for your relaxation from fall to spring. Our spacious 415 sq ft Glamping tent site is right on the pond and by the fire pit. You can relax at your personal bistro set. Spend the night in luxury on a memory foam queen mattress. Wind down with a complementary bottle of wine. Roast S’mores on our indoor S’mores pit. Enjoy 6 farm fresh eggs for breakfast courtesy of our wonderful hens. Play a game of horseshoes or coquet at your site upon request. Enjoy all our free ranging animals. Be prepared for the donkeys to join you by the fire. We do special requests for birthdays, anniversaries or any special event. Let us know how we can make your stay more memorable. Come rest, relax and play at Big City Little Farm. Cast you line in the pond for catch and release fishing and go for a kayak ride on the pond. We look forward to your visit.

Cherise has the most diverse and friendly flock/herd of animals with the most creative names! She welcomed us and introduced us to them. Very friendly, cozy spot. We enjoyed stargazing!

It was so cool!! The tent was enormous and more than enough space for 2 adults and 2 dogs. The accommodations were cute and cozy and Cherise was extremely responsive and welcoming :)

The animals were awesome. Cld feel my stress level dropping with every pet, hold and carrot given. Cherise was above and beyond super hospitable. Glamping by the pond was just what I needed for a low stress camping trip without all the work.

Cherise and her family are the hosts we all dream about - hospitable, friendly, nice and always ready to help 🧡. The campsite is not big, but roomy enough for several companies for each to enjoy their stay and not disturb each other. A Must go if you are a pet lover! 🧡 Some of fun activities we experienced were kayaking in a little pond, zip lane and animal feeding =) Cherie’s son Kyle has a snocone 🍦 stand with home made syrup and lots of amazing flavours, that you have to try! And It’s just 10 min away from the campsite 🏕️ We enjoyed our stay on Cherise’s land and thankful for this wonderful experience!

Group Farm Day
We went as a homeschool field trip and had a blast! Cherise and her husband were so sweet and kind. There were things for kids of all ages to do. I am definitely going to go back for the glamping experience they’re setting up. So many fun animals and just getting out of the Suburban setting and back to nature.

There was plenty of space and a beautiful night sky. The cozy fire was perfect for s’mores. The directions were clear and not too far from convenience stores. The farm animals give it a nice nature’a touch. I would highly recommend this host. She is responsive and safe. Will be returning!

Cherise was super friendly and accommodating. We had a great time with the animals too. Great camping experience with a fire pit, chairs, and hammock already set up for us. The bathroom was clean and convenient. We enjoyed petting the donkeys, playing with the goats, and going on the zip line. Highly recommend for camping or day pass!! Also super close to Sam Houston National Forest for some great hiking.

Amazing Experience

Big City Little Farm is an amazing experience. Even before arriving, Cherise was getting all the information she needed to ensure we had the best experience, unique to us. It was my daughter's 8th birthday and from riding Sugar the horse to projector movie night on the side of the barn to a birthday gift to snowcones delivered to our campsite to... the list goes on and on, Big City Little Farm and Cherise deliver a BIG experience. Feeding time for all the animals at 9am is an adventure and when you're done with that, take the kayak for a jog in the pond or zip line from tree to tree or follow the walking trail through the trees around the perimeter. Then love on the animals (and there's a lot of them) the rest of the day. Goose the goat will be by your side at your beck and call and Wilma the chicken might just snuggle in your lap. Water and power hookup provided (ask about what kind is available depending on the site). Ground was level enough to setup easily. Gave us a key fob to come and go as we pleased. After our visit, my son now wants to have his birthday here as well haha. We will be back!

Very entertaining working farm to camp at, and the host was very well prepared with little extras that added to the whole experience. The kids had fun feeding the animals, camping, making s’mores and using the kid zip line.
