Relax on 26 acres of rolling pasture with native trees and a private 6-acre lake. Enjoy huge Texas sunsets overlooking grazing cattle. Bring your kayaks or paddle boards to cruise on the private lake. Relax and read a book in the tree shade or hike around the lake. Check out our lake wildlife including plenty of waterfowl that regularly visit. Bring your fishing poles - the peninsula is a perfect fishing location on our stocked lake! Courteous canine friends are welcome. Our camping area is a graded grass and dirt area off of a gravel driveway with shade trees and a lake view. Enjoy a peaceful camping setting. There is a shared water hydrant for the campsites. For bigger water and easy access to Lake Ray Roberts State Park, head over to the Johnson Branch of Lake Ray Roberts which is less than 15 minutes away. We are located next door to 555 Vineyard and the Vineyard Tasting room. Also, check out downtown Valley View with local restaurants including Blue Bonnet Cafe, York N Ale, Hess Meat Market, and Firelight Vineyard just 7 minutes away. Edge of the Lake Vineyard is also 7 minutes away. Drinking water is available at the campsites from a water hydrant. No electricity is available at campsites. There are no bathroom amenities here. Guests will need to be self-contained, take waste with them and leave no trace.

Site 3 is very grassy and has a nice view of the lake! Our 6 acre lake and 26 acre property is ready for you to enjoy! Bring your fishing poles, paddle boards and kayaks. Our lake is stocked with fish including plenty of blue gills and bass for fishing fans. Relax and read a book lakeside. The native mesquite trees are a distinctive feature of the ranch. Shared camping area water hydrant is approximately 80 yards from site 3. Site 3 is approx 80- 100 yards from other campsites. Admire the neighboring cattle, miniature horses and goats though please stay on the 4G side of the fences. Hike around the lake. Enjoy cooking out in the camping area. Campers should bring their outdoor cooking and dining equipment. Campfire permitted in the designated firepit when there are no burn bans for Cooke County. There are no bathroom amenities here. Guests will need to be self-contained, take waste with them and leave no trace. Enjoy 5 Fifty-five Vineyard Tasting room next door to our ranch! Visit quaint downtown Valley View with wine tasting at Firelight Vineyards, local dining, great burgers at York N Ale and sipping at distillery Whiskey Hollow. 4G Ranch is located 20 minutes north of bustling Denton with its historic town square and many restaurants.

Site 1 is a fairly level dirt and grass RV/camping pad area. Site 1 and 2 are right next to each other and share a fire ring. Great view of the lake and is situated among mature trees for nice shade. Shared water hydrant available approx. 50 ft away. This is a smaller site suited for compact camping setups and shorter vehicles. Bring your fishing poles, paddle boards and kayaks. Our lake is stocked with fish including plenty of blue gills and bass - fishing from the grassy peninsula is a great location. Relax and read a book lakeside. The native mesquite trees are a distinctive feature of the ranch. Admire the neighboring cattle, miniature horses and goats though please stay on the 4G side of the fences. Hike around the lake. Enjoy cooking out in the camping area. Campers should bring their outdoor cooking and dining equipment. Campfire permitted in the firepit when there are no burn bans for Cooke County. Site 2 is a fairly level dirt and grass RV/camping pad area. Site 1 and 2 are right next to each other and share a fire ring. Great view of the lake and is situated among mature trees for nice shade. Shared water hydrant available approx. 50 ft away. This site is suited for groups that wish to camp side by side. RVs may need to drive out through the pasture or back up to exit RV pads. Bring your fishing poles, paddle boards and kayaks. Our lake is stocked with fish including plenty of blue gills and bass - fishing from the grassy peninsula is a great location. Relax and read a book lakeside. The native mesquite trees are a distinctive feature of the ranch. Site 4 is very grassy and west facing with views of the lake and pasture. Enjoy gorgeous sunset views! Our 6 acre lake and 26 acre property is ready for you to enjoy. The native mesquite trees are a distinctive feature of the ranch. This site is easy for larger RVs and campers to negotiate. Shared camping area water hydrant is approximately 120 yards from site 4. Site 4 is approx 80 yards from other campsites. Admire the neighboring cattle, miniature horses and goats though please stay on the 4G side of the fences. Hike around the lake. Enjoy cooking out in the camping area. Campers should bring their outdoor cooking and dining equipment. Campfires permitted in the designated firepit when there are no burn bans for Cooke County. Another great trip to 4G ranch. Site was freshly mowed and clear directions on how to get there. Enjoyed the proximity to the fishing. My 12 year old loved being able to just walk on down there to cast his line. Will be back again soon!

Beautiful property, great views in every direction. We caught fish all day long. It was just a great escape from the city life. About 10 minutes from Gainesville, in case you want to go out for dinner or run to Walmart for something.

Beautiful property with good fishing. Able to get blue gill, black crappie and large mouth. The biggest was a 4lb 4oz large mouth.

We had a great time! I would say be prepared to make yourself a private bathroom tent situation or something makeshift with a tarp. Even with a bucket potty there is not really a good place to go without a house in view. We also didn’t have any other campers in the spots next to us but if we did it would be even harder to have any privacy. They are pretty close together. But since we had the place to ourselves it was fun and private enough! The lake was beautiful and the grassy green areas were so pretty. The area is definitely more residential than we usually camp in. A lot of houses around. So if you are wanting wilderness with no houses in sight this is not your place. But if you like fishing and don’t mind a more residential spot than this is great!

The campsite and view was gorgeous in late winter. It was nice to have so much green grass for the dogs to roam around on and thankfully no other guests came to the other sites so we had plenty of space all to ourselves. One thing that I wish was more clear in the listing was how residential it is. The houses/farms are pretty far off, but you do hear lots of barking dogs, car noise, etc. It's not terrible, but not good if you're a light sleeper or are wanting to be a bit more remote. Overall however, it's a nice getaway that's an easy drive from DFW and the view of the pond from the hillside is very picturesque.

Tent camping with family and friends was very relaxing at Susan’s land. The dogs, our son and everyone else enjoyed the quick nice weather get away before Texas 2nd winter hit! We have it saved to our favorites!

I really enjoyed tent camping on Susan’s property! Communication was clear and I had no trouble finding my spot to camp at. The pond was beautiful… very relaxing!

I had site 3, lots of room for several persons and tents or rv, lots of shade and was breezy made the 90 degree day alot more pleasant. I didn't catch any fish, but I saw lots of fish jumps. I will be back, this is an amazing jewel and so close to where I live.

Had an excellent night away. Hosts were very communicative and finding the location was a breeze. Site 3 is perfect with water on three sides of you. My kiddo really enjoyed the ability to fish right next to camp. Will be coming back soon.

It was a wonderful experience for if you want to get away and see some stars at night. Along with great fishing opportunities and watching the fish jump. I highly recommend staying here and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. As a bonus Susan was a great host and was very communicative. We will definitely be back soon:)!

For starters Bob and Susan are very responsive and friendly. Anytime I had a question they were quick to respond with an answer. The property is amazing! So much fun getting up and fishing everyday. I took my paddle board but didn’t get it into the water but I will next time for sure. The stars out here are something else. Bring a citronella candle for night time. Perfect get away I will be staying again!!!

It was a nice simple quiet camp set up. Nothing fancy. I enjoyed sitting by the lake, watching fish jump and walking around the property. I had a nice evening and restful sleep. Susan was quick to respond and answer questions.

I loved the serenity of the Ranch and lake. I will definitely come again when I need a little getaway. There is a meat and grocer market as well as a convenient store down the road. It was too windy for a fire, but my camp stove worked perfectly. Not really good for swimming

Susan is super responsive and quick in answering my questions which I love. It was our first booking with hipcamp and to be honest I’m not sure if I’m happy with my experience. The view is cute but if you are used to the typical state park camping site, this is not for you. The grass/weeds are at my knee high and we almost drove past the camp site if it wasn’t for the other group of campers who parked their car next to our camp site. We followed their wheel track on top of the grass to figure out how to get in the camp site. There were lots of bugs and spiders and I know it’s normal since it’s out in the boonies but it’s just too much for us. If the weeds can be mowed down a bit it will be so much more comfortable. Then we found out there was a fire pit but no grilling racks on top so we ended up driving out to pick something to eat and then come back to the camp site. This is our miss. We should have read the detailed instructions better in advance. Another thing is that just like other Airbnb, it asked us to clean up after ourselves which I had no issue with that at all. Just wish there were some trash cans or dumpsters so we can throw away our trash instead of having to carry it in our car with us when we leave.

Very quiet, beautiful spot off dirt road. Only 3 spots and two were empty-private with lots of room to roam around lake. Caught fish all day. Hosts were wonderful.

Fabulous spot, exactly what we were after for a relaxing weekend. Boys caught plenty of fish and dogs caught plenty of sniffs. Place was out of the way enough to be quiet but close enough that is wasn't a big deal to run and grab the few things we inevitably forgot. 10/10

I hate to leave a bad review but the pictures and description of this place are intentionally misleading. I paid for two nights but left after the first because I was camping in someone’s backyard with a family camping right next to me in the middle of a neighborhood with multiple houses staring at me. There is no sense of being in nature here or even the slightest bit of privacy. House with living room staring at you is 20 yards behind this spot. Host was nice but this should not be more than one camp site and listing should be more honest.

Fantastic serene spot. Surprisingly quiet with a sense of being away from all the noise and traffic of the city and yet you aren’t too far for conveniences. Pond was calm and soothing. Directions and access were great. I was hoping for a little more separation between the 3 sites but it’s not that bad. Come prepared to boondock. As the host explains, there is no electric and there is only one water spigot to share between the three sites. Not something you can hook up to but you can fill up. Grab site three if you can it is definitely the best! Loved our stay.
