Hey! I rarely leave negative reviews, and I do not want to bring down the lovely people behind this campsite. I just want to provide accurate information for people making decisions about where to camp. While I really enjoyed my trip and the surrounding parks (like Foster Falls) there were some things listed at this campground which I did not find to be accurate. Here is a list of a couple things that should be noted if you are considering this stay.
- The bathroom is a single porta potty, which was clean but out of toilet paper. There was no running water near by, so it is hard to wash hands etc.
- The fridge/freezer was broken
- There was not firewood available for sale
- There are homes on either side of the field, so it does not give off a wilderness feel
- The host was not responsive to my message on hipcamp, however I did not try to reach them otherwise so I don't know if they would have been responsive.
- The water tasted pretty unusual, and there was only one small area to get water, very far from the bathroom
- As listed on the website, you need to carry out all your trash with you.
Overall, I really enjoyed myself. There were fire pits and picnic tables scattered around, and all the other campers were very friendly. There was a golden retriever who hung out at that campgrounds as well. It was a first come, first serve situation with tent placement, and you can basically set up your tent anywhere.
Overall, I would come back, but for a cheaper price. $12 per person per night adds up, and I'm not sure it was worth the value of the stay.
