Uncle B's farm is a small 11 acre hobby farm with a large vegetable garden, chickens, peafowl, guinea fowl, turkeys, a goat, dogs, and cats. There is an old quarried stone railroad bridge and a few short walking trails around the pond. The pond is at the back of the property where I have 6 dry camp sites listed as Uncle B's farm for tents or self contained RV's. All sites have partial to full shade and most have mature trees that will work for a hammock or tensile tent. All of the campsites have a firepit, some with cooking grates and all sites have a picnic table. The "shower shack" is shared by all guests and has 2 separate 3/4 baths with all modern plumbing. There is also a basic outdoor kitchen with a few portable grills as well as a sink with modern plumbing. Available at Uncle B's RV Camper site I have 3 RV sites with water and 30 Amp electrical hookups. My "Ready Set Camp" listing is a dome tent set up and furnished with 2 cots, table, and lamp as well as a match ready fire. The Barn loft apartment is a studio apartment with a small galley kitchen and private bath. Uncle B's farm has been voted Best Hip Camp to see in South Dakota for the 3rd time.... Come see why...

Uncle B's Farm

Peaceful and wholesome

Uncle B’s Farm was truly a highlight of our roadtrip. Right off the bat we were greeted by his adorable dogs, Uncle B’s friendliness made us feel immediately welcomed. The tent camp site is very cute and trees helped with the wind. We got to see all the farm animals, who were very well behaved, not noisy at all. We also got to see some adorable kittens, that was awesome. At night, he put on a movie on the projector and made us some delicious homemade popcorn. This place was amazing, simple pure fun and relaxation. It reminded us to slow down and enjoy the quiet beauty of life away from all the noise and ruckus. Will definitely be back if we find ourselves around this area!

Perfect

I wasn’t there long but I pulled in with my roof top tent late and set up. Nice flat sites. Nice showers. I met Brian in the morning and he’s a super nice guy. Loved and will back for sure!

I made the mistake of booking before realizing it was 400 miles off my route. Brian was very gracious in adjusting his refund policy and then offered eggs and produce if I came back his way on my return.

Relaxing with all the essentials

Excellent communication, great layout and beautiful spot to camp. We loved our stay and will return to Uncle Bs! Outdoor kitchen is a plus when dry camping from a car or van. Clean bathrooms, hot water, nice showers, this place has it all! Uncle B is a great host and went above and beyond when our old van needed some grease on the front end.

Best Hipcamp Experience Ever

Has to be the best Hipcamp experience we’ve ever had. It is a wonderful spot with cool amenities but what made it special were the hosts. Brian is by far the best host I’ve had. He gave us amazing tomatoes picked fresh from the garden and fresh eggs from the hen house. Helped us make great pizza in his pizza oven. His bath house is nicer than most hotel rooms. I would go 100 miles maybe more out of my way to stay when them again!!!
