We had a lot of fun camping here! The water was perfect and loved having the row boat to use. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone!

The property was really a great location for our group that were overall new to camping with amenities nearby to pickup groceries or go to a diner when needed! We really enjoyed taking turns on the row boat, and playing card games and monopoly in the cabin area at night. The campsite felt really private, but there was some barking from dogs nearby at night, and sometimes gunshots.
Alex, the owner, was very responsive and helpful in finding local activities and resolving any issues we had during the stay!

Absolutely loved it. Perfect place to get away. Awesome creepy “Cabin in the Woods” vibes. When the sun went down the night came alive. We watched Evil Dead 2 in the cabin. This was an amazing trip. I will be booking this exact spot again. Love it!!!

My sons ans I had an amazing time. I was concerned about the possibility of thunderstorms so Alex told us to feel free to use the cabin and we did. We caught lots of blue gill. The cooking area is well equipped. I would highly recommend checking out Alex's property. We cant wait to go back.

Really pretty and quiet! We had a really good time even though it was the hottest it’s been this year so far. It was over 90° the whole time we were there so it was HOT but we still had an awesome time! Definitely recommend having a thermacell and bug spray as you ARE in the woods. There were a ton of flies but having chargeable fans definitely helped deter them away from us! We cooked over the fires had tons of laughs and such an awesome time! The road in is bumpy but we didn’t have any trouble getting in or out! The ground is full of quartz which is so pretty to look at but if you’re sleeping on the ground I would recommend a thick sleeping pad or cots! We had cots so it didn’t bother us at all!

We loved it! Amazing spot for our dog to roam, lovely but short trail around the lake, a little row boat we didn't use but would have been a fun little adventure - we set our tent up inside because the windows are wide open so just to keep bugs off us though we didn't notice many the night we were there - great experience especially for the price!
We were tenting and it was calling for a thunderstorm and we couldn't have asked for a better spot to watch watch the rain come down and listen to it on the tin roof!

I booked a night on Alex’s Land for my brother’s birthday. We wouldn’t have wondered to be anywhere else it was perfect and we had a great time it is so perfect. I would recommend to anyone!

A very secluded place by a pond, and coyotes could be heard in the distance.
4wd is practically a must. I made it there with a fully loaded motorcycle, but if the dirt road was wet I never would have made it. It's uneven and not graded.
If my GPS didn't guide me there I would never have found it. The dirt road entrance there could have been better marked. It seems as if you need to go right through someones yard to find the road.
There are a lot of leaves on the ground, so whoever builds a fire there be very careful, and clear them 15 feet away. They're so dry, a forest fire could start very fast.
Overall, the expert was very nice.

We had a lovely time! It was nice walking the trail around the pond. We were able to put our tent up in the cabin which was a fun new twist on things. And we really appreciated having firewood supplied for us to use. The bathroom was surprisingly nice! As well as the solar powered lights and having hand sanitizer set out near the food prepping area. Our dog really enjoyed the land and water!

The kids love going to Alex’s land to practice their fishing skills and to navigate the canoe. It is like renting a private lake for a few days where our family can bond in nature.

Great location for kids and dog's first primitive camping. We had the entire place to ourselves . Kids had tons to do with the rowboat, fishing, and trails around the pond. Loads of wildlife. We had two tents set up but probably wouldn't have been able to fit more. Not a ton of flat space but lots of streams, rocks, bridges to explore. Great directions. Highly recommended! Our host, Alex was super responsive.

I decided to take a solo trip with my dogs on a whim and found Alex’s place. I am lucky I did. My 1 1/2 year old dog learned how to swim and my 10 year old lady dog even joined her for a few laps. The younger one swam behind me in the boat most of the time and when she was done, they chased each other around the pond. They must’ve done 20 laps!
There was a whole pile of firewood available so I lit a campfire to work on cooking dinner. I enjoyed trying to use the old cook stove in the outdoor kitchen area although that’s a thing that needs practice. I ended up finishing cooking it over the campfire. A swell rustic cooking experience.
A tremendous thunderstorm woke me up around 11pm so naturally I went and watched it on the front porch. When most of the thundering was done I got to fall back asleep to the rain on the tin roof. I’m a fan of storms.
In the morning I caught 3 bluegill rather quickly who each gave me 3 wishes for returning them to the pond. I haven’t caught bluegill since I was a little child with my step dad so it was nice to experience that memory.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to have a little get away. Alex is probably the most responsive host I’ve experienced on hipcamp. His messages also have a welcoming warmth to them. I hope to visit again in the future and maybe I’ll even let my husband come too. Thanks Alex!!!!

We had a wonderful time at this "Oasis in the forest"! We used the cabin during our stay due to high winds. It was the perfect size and we loved hanging out on the porch. The site is very very private. We were able to relax and not worry about the dogs bothering anyone. We will definitely be back!
