We have an absolutely gorgeous 12 acres of mostly wooded and/or lakefront land on the West end of Lake Murray (Saluda River). Me, my wife, and three kids live and work on a 20 acre forest nestled in the backwaters of Lake Murray. Behind Prices Bridge, we have what nature lovers refer to "OH MY GAWD"... Our land forms a peninsula, which is very private, secluded, and SAFE. If you want to refresh, recharge or spend quality time with family or friends, we'd love to host you. *Prices Bridge being a low bridge also means if you bring a large boat you may need to use the marina or any of the free boat launches within a mile of our site... kayaks, canoes, john boats all fit under. :-)

***please read firewood guidelines at bottom *** SITE DESCRIPTION Set up camp with a view of the lake down a short wooded hill… Walk down to the water for a hike, to launch a boat, or catch yourself some dinner, on your next great adventure! Honestly, we've spent many a night just enjoying the fields around this site. Stay up late for incredible star gazing… You’re practically guaranteed to see deer, heron, maybe even a bale eagle or beaver. We are near ramp 3 + 4 at Lake Murray. Those are the best locations for launching any boat bigger than 14 feet. Message me if you want to launch a small boat from our private ramp, keeping in mind that: 1. the dock is primarily for the cabins on the opposite side of the property as well as… (also available on Hipcamp) 2. you won’t probably be able to fit your boat underneath prices bridge, which essentially locks out all the boat traffic from our wonderful quiet Cove. We rent kayaks and canoes! … if you’re booking on the weekends, secure rental early to avoid getting stuck on the shore. FIREWOOD We sell RACKS of dried oak for just $30 each, half racks are $15 and…. ….we strongly prefer you don’t bring in outside wood. ( outside wood can be problematic to our pristine forest.) In the winter time, the water level of the hydroelectric dam is drawn down between six and 10 feet. Being at the mouth of the river which feeds Lake Murray, you will notice a difference in the water levels during winter months. You will have access to a porta potty. get in touch with us if you want to longer stay that includes hot showers.

At the crest of a woody hill, facing the lake, you'll find the Happy Place... Room for 4 adults to sleep comfortably on this expansive, covered wooden deck. (Roughly 300 square feet) enjoy easy access to the backwater Shores of that feed Lake Murray You can set up a tent inside… Or keep it outside and use the covered area for cooking and eating and cards… You can drive your camper in and park next to it… You can bring hammocks and tie them off on the corners…. However, you choose to sleep when you’re awake you’ll enjoy 25 acres Leslie Forest, which you can enjoy walking and hiking through Fire pit and a picnic table included. Our property is between the tip and the mainland on a peninsula which provides about 25 total acres, 12 of which we own. Please respect all homes and keep respectful distance from cabins, as you hike the grounds. (using MAP APPS is a game changer) It's all family on our road, and we enjoy wide open spaces and everything that comes with a relaxed and peaceful experience. We allow dogs, off leash ONLY after MEETING mine I’m making sure all the chickens and ducks and kittens and whatever else could be at risk is tucked away safely! We're open to events. But wary. Let us know what you're after. What are you doing? What else? Outhouse, potable water available. If you see me, my wife or kids, you're welcome to say hello. Stay more than 3 minutes and I'll put you to work. Seriously, I'm actually THRILLED to be offering this camping experience to you! . ..my two-year old has spent countless hours down on the lakeside, in the mud, looking for mushrooms, catching frogs, spying deer tracks and "stalking" the LARGE birds that flock here. Fishing can be AMAZING back here. Catfish, bass, perch, and anything else that’s caught on Lake Murray. —VERY IMPORTANT: 1. We do not permit outside firewood. 2. we will throw you out by your ear if we catch you cutting any live trees out of our forest… But why would you do that when 3. Bundles of DRIED firewood are available for $20/35 half/full rack We love having responsible respectful campers —- who understand the value in leaving a place better than you found it. This is an amazing experience..... The A-Frame Tiny House sits 30 feet from Lake Murray., Surrounded by outdoor experiences, you'll love the options: *Grilling with gas on the covered porch, OR... *Grilling over the open flame in the fire pit *Fishing from the dock or *Launching your own boat *Hiking on our marked trails *Swimming (summer months) The Aframe is a simple tiny house that's got two stories and room for just 3 people. The space There are eagles, hawks, herons and much more in a super quiet peaceful and private escape. We live next door in the house you see from the kitchen window. Your space is extra clean, everything washed and wiped down with disinfectant (we have an infant and understand how important that is). You'll be able to do everything as if you lived here yourself: --make a fire in your private fire pit, --go fishing, --drop a boat in, or... ...just float around in the sun. Kids love the space, and there are endless adventures to be had on the roughly 20 private acres you'll enjoy access to here. Guest access The "neighborhood" is our private road, where everyone on it is family. Bikes are a great option to BRING, kayaking is my preferred method of travel but we have done more hiking in the woods than anything else. Parking is unlimited. Other things to note There’s a big tv and hi-speed internet….. In case it rains. 🌦😊

Secret Kayaking Camping Adventure

It was a beautiful property, but unfortunately we did not receive the camping experience we thought we were paying for. The grounds have changed apparently, and there is no longer a private creek a spot. The whole point of me picking the spot I did was the privacy it said it had. It was supposed to be isolated, but still have access to a hot water shower, a porta potty, and potable water. Not only were none of these things available, the "camping spot" was literally RIGHT next to an occupied cabin. I don't think that party was pleased either. We were in the backyard of the main house, with no access to a private bathroom, right in view of everyone else there. Jesse is an extremely kind host, however I was not told any of this information until I arrived. Nothing at the lack of what I paid for was mentioned. The second day of my stay, I waited a few hours for a text back regarding firewood. I responded immediately, and then didn't hear back again for two more hours, long after checkout time. I feel disappointed, and that I was sold an expensive experience that doesn't exist here anymore. I'm not sure I can recommend any of the spots here because of this.

Great place to camp on the lake! Plenty of parking for the boat and close to several ramps. I plan on staying again for the next tournament on Murray. Also very nice to have the pup off leash!

It's great! Not crowded like the parks with RV's packed 15 feet away from one another and no campers walking through your campsite. The host family was super friendly. There were about 12 deer near the campsite in the morning. The kids loved seeing them.

Very private,open space,that was nice,met Jesse n he makes you feel very welcome,he upgraded us to the treehouse cause there were ants at campsite 1,my grandchildren had a blast running everywhere. I was at easy with my shepherd there once he met Jesse's animals,big worry cause I just never know how he will be with other dogs

Jesse was welcoming, the nights were quiet and filled with deer. The site was well maintained, considering the tall grass surrounding the site there were no ticks, the lake was visible and just a short walk through the woods. Good combo of openness and sunshine with woods and shade.

Great site, short walk to the lake edge where we put in our kayaks. Wood pallet was generous and set up was nice. We saw a bald eagle minutes after making a toast to those fighting overseas (can’t make this stuff up)! Found a 1965 nickel on the ground, wonder what other hidden historic secrets are in this area. Awesome campsite!

A Frame On Lake Murray

The A-frame was perfect! Enough space to be able to relax in. Every morning, afternoon and evening, my dog and I would sit on the dock gazing out at the lake with Herons, Osprey, Geese, Ducks and Cormorants all flying past. With the boat ramp right there, we would easily cast off on our SUP for the lake. Jesse, his wife and kids were wonderful and so nice. Their place and land offered so much to do. My dog got to feel like a country dog, interacting with the chickens, running through the woods and snoozing by the fire pit. This trip was exactly what I needed and desired. I loved every minute at Jesse's place.

Jesse was outstanding, He was really nice and communicative, sadly we had to leave early because of the weather, was really windy and colder that we expected for that day, ( check the weather really carfuly before planning your trip, totally my fault) even so, he offered to pay a full refund. Campsite Overlooking Lake at Prices Bridge Inn & Campgrounds is a beutifull place with a lot of things to do an collect good memories with your love ones.

What a great stay! We were arriving right at sunset, so Jesse sent a video on exactly where to find the campsite. The area was quiet and peaceful, and we were able to find plenty of firewood. In the morning, we were able to get some fresh well water and meet the dogs! Definitely recommend.

It was a decent campsite. Jesse was really nice. There wasn’t a flat spot to place a tent. You’re not allowed to bring firewood and then the wood we purchased was soaking wet. Also, the property manager was really weird. He came up to our fire at midnight and told us to smell this wood he had. My friend also heard footsteps around our tent in the middle of the night.

My partner and I, along with two other couples chose Jesse's land after our first campsite was impacted by Hurrican Helene. Jesse was able to accommodate us booking at a short notice and had the area mowed and ready-to-go! It was a simple site - with room for our cars, three tents, a canopy, wood pile, and bonfire. We thoroughly enjoyed camping, listening to music, watching some spooky movies on a projector, and cooking around the campfire. So if you're looking for a nice spot near Columbia, SC - don't hesitate to book!

A Frame On Lake Murray

We absolutely loved our stay on Jesse’s land. Perfectly appointed a-frame with just enough space for the 3 of us AND our 2 dogs. We spent prob 90% of our time outside, enjoying nature. My teens fished ALL DAY, kayaked for hours, & hiked on beautiful trails onsite. We purchased wood from Jesse that kept us burning for 2-days straight…amazing. I cannot wait to be back- I felt sooooo comfortable & completely at peace there. Directions are precise, the cabin is CLEAN, the privacy is ample & relaxation in abundance.

We LOVED tent camping on Jesse’s land. The tent sites are spaced out for privacy. There was another family tent camping three sites over and it was still peaceful and quiet. Our dogs loved being able to run around leash free. Having access to drop a paddle board or kayak is definitely a plus! We will definitely be back🩵 Thank you, Jesse!

We had a great time family camping at Jesse and his wife’s place. They were easily some of the nicest people we have encountered on Hipcamp. They share our love of dogs and at the time we stayed had a 6 pack of super friendly dogs of all breeds that my son and my own dog just absolutely loved. Couldn’t have asked for a better camping time, and such hospitality from Jesse and his family. If we needed something they didn’t hesitate to help us out. We will definitely be back to have another great camping trip and hang out with their dogs rusty, daisy, peaches, buster, and birdie. Thanks to Jesse and his family again it was such a good time.

Secret Kayaking Camping Adventure

Great host and site to camp at! Felt safe and knew help was not far away. Enjoyed our covered camp site but would not hesitate to camp on ground. Kayaking was a blast. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay.
