Beautiful grounds and very friendly and accommodating hosts. The were kind, full of local information, even played a game of cornhole with the family. They definitely should mention the 200 yr old live oak. It is breathtaking!

Melissa and Dale were so kind. We had many conversations each day, even played some cornhole together. They were so kind to get us eggs and firewood whenever asked. They had many recommendations for our family during our weekend at Mature wooded area. There were a few other campers on the grounds who pretty much kept to themselves. One of the bathhouses were finished, and was kept clean. We will be back again for sure!

We arrived later than expected and were greeted by Dale who showed us to a spot very close to the bathhouse. We settled in then the next morning were treated to a dozen fresh eggs from their chickens. Later that day, we cooked our dinner over the fire and were sitting down to eat when the hosts suddenly appeared to hang two signs on the bathhouse door. We were traveling with our dog, and I thought it was strange they had to do it right then and there, with one sign saying no dogs were allowed in the bathroom. We were the only people camping on their property that weekend, so I am assuming that sign was directed at us.

The hosts were very, very nice however this is really not what we expected when we tried Hipcamp for the first time. We brought our new pop-up camper to Melissa's land and we were parked literally ten feet away from her trailer. There was no shade at all and her roosters promptly started crowing at 4:30am. This may be a decent campsite for people who get up super early to go fishing/boating but doesn't compare to any state park.

This was our first Hipcamp experience, and it was a completely positive. Hosts were great, and the site is quiet and pleasant. We will undoubtedly be their guests in the future, as it is a great price, conveniently near interstate I-95, and a great stopping point on our trips between Maryland and Florida. I’d give them my highest recommendation. You won’t be disappointed.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Melissa and my stay here. I showed up very late on a bikepacking trip, and since it was cold (and snowing) when I arrived, she was kind enough to upgrade me to an RV for the night, AND had a plate of food waiting for me! Very kind, very helpful. I'll definitely be back again next time I'm in the area.

Scott and Melissa's place is wonderful and they were very helpful. Very comfortable place to park the RV. We enjoyed watching the chickens and chicks in the morning. The neighborhood and general area are lovely.

Very welcoming and kind host! They took care of us, and brought us delicious eggs and fruits from their place, and also bake goods! Super sweet, and the place is peaceful. We would definitely come back!

A quiet escape to the countryside with the most kind and gracious hosts!! Dale & Melissa’s property is less than a mile to great fishing and boating on Lake Marion and the Santee River! They are very kind and helpful. Dale brought us complimentary fresh eggs from their hens and firewood daily! The rooster in the morning was such a pleasant sound and my kids enjoyed running around and visiting with their baby chicks.
Their property is on a well, so you may want to bring some bottled water as the water is a little hard. The space is open and the pads are level and well maintained with full hookups, a nice picnic table and trash/recycling close by. The shower and laundry house are almost finished.
When you drive in you will see the “ruins” on their neighbor’s property where they are deconstructing old buildings and cleaning up. This IS NOT their property. Give it a chance and you will quickly be welcomed by the kindest and most generous folks! A very safe and quiet getaway over Thanksgiving!
