Cabin in the Deep Woods
Fantastic cabin and wonderful property with plenty of privacy.
It was cold outside but the cabin was cozy and warm. The outhouse was chilly but had hot water and was comfortable.
We stayed for a Clemson game and it was an easy trip to the stadium. Nearby Pickens is a nice little town with food, cafes, and some antique stores.

Brian has a great spot for camping. He is very accommodating and helpful.
He met us the first night we arrived and showed us where everything was in the best place to put our overland or trailer. We invited them down in the evening to hang with us by the fire and he joined us for about an hour each night. It was a very fun trip. We shall return

The campsite was great! I had a little fire pit, picnic table, and great tent patch. Brian was kind enough to provide firewood as well. The bathroom was super clean and the hot shower felt amazing after a long day of hiking. Sam the doggo provided great companionship and the night was calm quite.

Brain was cordial and knowledgeable, with a lovely property! Our campsite was nice- quiet (a few wildlife noises 🦉) and scenic. It was a short hike to the bathroom, so you may want to bring a bucket/camp toilet. Sam the dog was very friendly and played well with our male puppy. Would definitely stay again.

Camped in two tents, with plenty of room for more. Beautiful land and area. Nice hike only 5 min away at Big Rock Mtn. There is a nice bathroom shared with the cabin that is available for campers as well. The campsite is about 150 feet from the host's house, but did not impact the feel of remote camping we were looking for. Brian is a great host and has a sweet yellow lab. Sam, the lab, does like to get into your food/drink, so you'll need to keep an eye on that or put him on the run/leash next to Brian's house if it bothers you. Since we were kayaking, I wasn't able to bring my dog along... so having Sam around the campfire was welcomed.

Brian's land is really peaceful and beautiful. The campsite overlooks pasture and has beautiful woods surrounding. The ridge surrounds the cove and gives a really safe and sheltered atmosphere. Very calm and serene location that is also full of interesting history.

Upon arrival, Brian was there to greet and meet me at the location. As I was pulling up in the car, it started to rain. He suggested I use the sheltered tent site, which was nice, because the tent site I booked was not sheltered. He is passionate about the area, let me know that he is accessible by phone at any time. The bathroom is very nice and the warm shower was perfect before a days trip kayaking to the waterfall on Lake Jocassee. Thanks Brian!

This is an amazing campsite and Brian is a fantastic host. We have been here a couple times now and it’s perfect. The farm is idyllic to wake up to in the morning and peaceful at night. Nearby lots of great activities and laid out extremely well. Better than a hotel!

Brian's farm was a peaceful and safe place to camp. The tent site was level and a picnic table, fire pit, firewood and ample chairs were provided.

Brians site was really nice and peaceful. His campsites are somewhere between a campground and primitive camping. The tent site has a level, elevated pad, picnic table, swing, fire pit, and water hose. There is no outlet, but there is a shower/sink/toilet just a few minutes' walk away. The great thing about his site is that there are no campers around you and it is very private in that regard. Brian does have firewood and asks for a donation if you use it. He also shuttles people for the foothills trail and his site can be a good base camp if you are coming in from out of town. If I car camp again in that area, I'll look to Brian's farm first.

Enjoyed my stay on Brians farm. Camp area was super peaceful along stream in a beautiful setting. Brian was a great host and his dog was super friendly. Brian clealry loves sharing his space with others. Very convenient for hiking around table rock. Brian even offered to shuttle me to occonnee state park to start my hike.

I love it there it so peaceful Brian keep it clean and looking good. My job had called. On my last day there. And told
Me they really need me to come in so I left in early morning. Brim mite have been at church and I never sead than. You and good buy. He does have a grate dogs.

Brian's farm is a well kept, peaceful retreat with many outdoor activities a short drive away! The campsite itself has every amenity a camper could want including firewood access. A hidden gem with a gracious host!

Brian is a wonderful host! He allowed me to hook up my camper to his barn so we could enjoy a little air conditioning. He also extended our stay by a few hours to accommodate our schedule. The farm is beautiful and very quiet. I will definitely be back!

Awesome upstate location with great shade, camping spots, nature, restroom, and Sam the sweet lab! We camped on site 1 next to creek and had a great canopy of trees. There was a large raised tent pad with plenty of room for our 4 person tent. Also had many locations to hang out hammocks.

We loved staying at Brian's campsite! It feels very secluded in the bathroom facilities are very nice! We had plenty of space to stretch out and throw the frisbee. Brian was very accommodating and a great host! We will definitely be coming back here soon!

We loved our stay at Brian’s! He is so kind and made sure we had kindling, firewood, and offered us hot coffee in the morning. We had great conversation with him and enjoyed playing with his dog, Sam. Brian was very responsive to our texts when we were coming, too. The site is well equipped with water, a clean bathroom, a picnic table, and a bench swing - so you can leave your chairs at home! Brian thought through all the details. If you aren’t up for a tent, check out his cabin on Hipcamp. We saw his beautiful craftsmanship on the same secluded land. Lots of great hiking in the area. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed at Site 1 with our two dogs for Thanksgiving weekend. The host, Brian, and his dog, Sam, welcomed us warmly. Brian was very responsive and kind to us throughout our stay. Sam loves to play with other dogs, and he generally roams their land. The site was level and expansive. We enjoyed having a water supply at the site, the fire pit was large, and there was ample seating provided. It would be great in the summer because the sun sets behind the trees, which shades the site for much of the afternoon. The bathroom was clean and warm, but it was a fairly significant walk uphill, which was no problem for us! For reference, Site 1 is closer to the bathroom than Site 2, but the cabin is the closest to the bathroom. The only electricity is in the bathroom, so the campsites themselves are primitive. It is a great location close to hikes and also grocery stores if needed. Overall, great experience, and we plan to return in the future!
