Welcome to Cannon Acres Located just minutes off I-95 Exit 181B and Highway 38 in the peaceful countryside of Latta, South Carolina, Cannon Acres is a quiet family-owned homestead offering RV travelers a relaxing overnight retreat with easy interstate access for those passing through the area. Conveniently positioned near major travel routes, guests are only minutes from Pilot, One9, BP, and additional fuel stations offering RV-friendly truck fueling, hot food, potable water, showers, and nearby RV black and gray water tank draining services. Restaurants, fast food, Dollar General, and the locally loved Shuler's Bar-B-Que are all close by, making Cannon Acres an easy and comfortable overnight stop without the noise and congestion of crowded RV parks or truck stops. Founded by a disabled Navy veteran and family, our 2.1-acre homestead is built around sustainability, conservation, and hands-on learning for our children. We believe in reducing waste, repurposing materials whenever possible, and creating a lifestyle centered on stewardship rather than excess. The property features a growing garden, open country space, and ongoing efforts focused on pollinator regeneration, habitat restoration, and responsible land management. Much of what we build at Cannon Acres comes from reclaimed or repurposed materials, reflecting our commitment to intentional living and long-term sustainability. To preserve a peaceful and uncrowded experience, we intentionally host only one RV or camper at a time. Guests enjoy added privacy, spacious surroundings, and 24-hour generator use due to wide site spacing and single-guest occupancy, making the site ideal for self-contained RV travelers, overnight stopovers, and late arrivals. When available, guests may also purchase farm-grown fruits and vegetables, farm fresh eggs, and handmade crafts produced here at Cannon Acres, offering travelers a chance to support our growing homestead directly. As we continue to grow, our goals include expanding native pollinator habitats, supporting honeybee populations, raising chickens for fresh eggs, and restoring additional acreage to benefit local wildlife and environmental health. Whether you’re stopping for a quiet night off the interstate or looking to experience a slower pace of rural SouthThe RV parking area is a level, open grassy field suitable for self-contained rigs. During the day, guests can enjoy natural shade from a mature crape myrtle near the site, with a backdrop of dense pine trees providing a quiet, peaceful rural atmosphere. The setting offers open sky, privacy, and a relaxed farm feel. Directly beside the parking area is a maintained pollinator sanctuary featuring native grasses and seasonal wildflowers designed to support local wildlife and beneficial insects. Nearby, guests can also view a small historical farm display featuring original iron agricultural equipment, including an antique disc harrow/seeder and traditional hay bale setup preserved as a nod to the property’s farming history. Access is via a farm drive crossing reinforced culverts. Guests with low-clearance or extra-long rigs should proceed with caution. This is a dry camping site with no hookups or restroom facilities. Guests must be fully self-contained, practice Leave No Trace principles, and remain within designated parking and walking areas. For safety and land stewardship reasons, wooded areas of the property are not open for guest exploration. We do accept same-day and instant bookings, including short-notice arrivals. However, because this is a private homestead and guests are personally escorted onto the property, we kindly ask that guests provide at least 1 hour notice prior to arrival whenever possible so we have time to prepare and meet you for check-in.
