We have 69 acres within the Barambah Wine Trail (which is located in Moffatdale, near Murgon, QLD). Our property backs onto the Bjelke Petersen Dam. Our property offers direct access to Lake Barambah from your large grassy campsite. You can enjoy uninterrupted views of the lake while relaxing around your camp fire. The lake itself is wide and deep, and safe for swimming (properly supervised) and all your favourite water activities. There is also basic access to launch small boats. Dusty Hill Wines is just down the road and offers local wine tasting and some great meals in their restaurant. There are also some other wineries in the area you can explore and enjoy. If you want to get your heart rate up, we are 25 minutes from Kinombi Falls where you can enjoy a number of stairs to get to the top. The waterfall is often quite small but the surrounding area is beautiful and the stairs are a good workout. PLEASE NOTE: We are only able to accept Fully Self-contained Vans, No tent or Swag Sites are available. You will need to be fully self contained van as we have no showers or toilets available. Campers will need to take all waste with them on departure.  Pets are welcome.

It was busy for a weekday & therefore didn’t get a spot on the water. I followed all of the arrows to the camping area, selecting the best spot left which was elevated, & reasonably level, with a fire pit, which was good. I wasn’t too concerned that there was no access to the water as it was too cold for swimming anyway. Good value for money.

Great Lake view camping

My family and I loved camping at lake view camping. It was great for the whole family, kids loved swimming, husband loved fishing and stand up paddle boarding, myself and baby loved the beautiful sunsets on the dam and we all enjoyed the restaurant across the lakes for dinner. Was very quiet and set up so close to the dam. Loved our two night here.

We had a great time with friends and family. Very hot as we were not under a tree as it was so busy. We did have 1 little unwanted guest. A very slithery dude haha. We would go back.

We drove three hours to camp at this site, only to be told that camping is not allowed unless we have an RV or camper van. This restriction was not made clear in the booking process, nor was any information provided beforehand. Very disappointing. Not happy

One of the most peaceful, relaxing and picturesque places we've camped. The sites are very spacious and overlook the dam. It's so lovely sitting beside the fire as the sun goes down. Clint, the owner, is such a friendly person. The property is within walking distance to wineries. We will definitely be back.
