A good campground, they have plans to add more mini cabins. Really cool area too with good creek and mountain views all around. Would come back for sure

Upon arrival we were greeted by Mr ,Russ the GM. The cabin fire was prelit for us and it was really toasty. Thanks Russ! We recommend bringing lots of water and lanterns as there is no running water or electricity at the saw mill. This is a wonderful place to go and enjoy ,

this place was very beautiful and peaceful if your staying in the fall/winter I recommend bringing a heater and extra covers but a great place to stay especially if you love star gazing

We spent 2 nights and had a nice stay. It was cooler weather so not many people camping, nice and quiet. Rus who manages the campground was awesome. Friendly, helpful, fun guy. Some feedback for the Hipcamp listing, all we got was an address which lead us to a cabin a mile or so away from the actual site. We had to knock on someone’s door to get help figuring out where to go. I had messaged the host early in the day to let them know when we’d be arriving. No response.

Open field site with a lovely overlook of the river. I checked in at the main office, took the offer for their (permanent? sleeps 4-6) tent on the property, and the host even kindly helped jump start my car on my last morning as it had had some battery issues recently. Wifi available but spotty far away from the main office, I didn't have a chance to check out the bath facilities.

Great place to stay! Russ is a kind and patient guy I got to the campsite really late and still he met me there and showed me where I was gonna be staying and I really appreciated that! Lots of hiking and scenery, great patio on the back of the cabin, comes with a fridge and microwave for any food you bring. There is no insulation so whatever the temperature it is outside it will also be inside, except in the summer there is a window unit, and it’s a tin roof so rain is extra loud on the roof. Other than these things I would recommend anyone stay here for a weekend of solitude or a family getaway!

Better Directions/ Signs Needed

The cabin was comically difficult to find. The manager was VERY helpful buttttt, with neither him or you having cell service to coordinate anything onsite, it makes it even more important to communicate ahead of time. I don't feel like it was communicated how important that was. You have pretty much a 0% chance of finding the cabin without him. A few signs and some labeled cabins would pretty much solve the issues.

Lovely cabin and property but better signage leading to the cabin on the gravel road. Maybe a map of the main camp layout. WiFi or a land line for emergencies too. They did have propane but the propane tank was difficult to open. Also having wood for the wood stove. I would stay again despite everything

Adorable cabin in the woods

We had a fantastic Labor Day weekend in Cubby 1! It’s a very cute little cabin with a comfortable bed, back deck with a gorgeous view, and a nice little fire pit out front. Everything was super clean, and it was furnished with a fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, Keurig, and a few other kitchen appliances. No running water in the cabin, but there’s a spigot right out front with potable water. They also have a window AC and a space heater inside, which definitely helped a bit during the night when it was cold, even though the cabin isn’t insulated. It’s a huge step up from our normal tent camping, but still rustic and close to nature. We loved our weekend here and will definitely be back!

It was a nice solid comfortable cabin with a water pump, campfire, and sturdy picnic table. The bed was comfortable and there was a decent fridge. There was a crockpot, but it wasn't the best quality and heated up very slowly, so I would suggest chay that. The only problem with this site was the confusion when it came to actually getting there. The HipCamp instructions sent me to a location that was up the road and way up the hill from the actual location. Even after I was given new instructions in person at the upper location, it was still vague and confusing...and frustrating, given I had been driving for a very long time.

We had a wonderful time in this gorgeous part of Pennsylvania. There was a scheduling mishap and we weren't able to get the Sawmill Woodzie cabin, but Connie let us stay at the campground instead, which we loved. Cabin had running water, an induction stove, electricity, and yet still a camping feel with trails and a fire pit. Next time I would likely book a cabin at the campground directly because it was so comfortable and scenic. She even had a water slide available for the kids!

A Serene Escape

My partner & I came to Connie’s Woodzie cabins to celebrate 6 months together, and it was fantastic! We used the word “perfect,” to describe our weekend so many times. We had plenty of privacy, but were never far from a nice warm shower or hospitable hosts if we needed either. It was a challenge for us because it was more rustic than what we’ve done before, but thanks to Connie we quickly made use of the propane stovetop, the porter potty and the fire circle! Super close to beautiful trails, wonderful stargazing, and JUST secluded enough to be inaccessible to the outside world when we want a little escape. As long as she keeps hosting, we ABSOLUTELY will be coming back together.

Lovely overnight

The Woodzie cabin was perfect for a short solo getaway, and would be wonderful for couples or small families as well. Had a great overnight with my dog, started a fire and heated my dinner over it, and saw some shooting stars overhead later in the night. The loft bed was very comfy. Rrally enjoyed the vibes and the charm. The spot was private but felt very safe and secure. I was planning on camping the next night so I already had some stuff with me - I recommend bringing a comfortable camp chair if you plan on hanging outside, as well as water containers. I wasn't sure of the stove situation so I had packed an extra, as well as a bluetooth speaker, coffee press, foil and a small table for campfire cooking and extra battery lights and a fan for inside. It was simple and sweet and just what I was looking for. Thanks Connie!

Beautiful view into the woods, hosts are incredibly friendly and the bed was comfortable. Our cubby stayed nice and cold during the day and was super comfortable overnight, I loved every bit of staying there.

This was my second time staying at Connie’s place. I can’t recommend them enough. The perfect campground to escape and enjoy nature. Walking distance to fishing/swimming along with shower stalls on call/on site people to help if needed. Highly recommend will be back forsure.

Wonderful hosts and cabin! Having access to the campground was great for the showers and other amenities. The cabin was clean and had plenty of kitchen supplies and things that we needed. Our dog loved roaming around the camp site. Connie and Andy were very helpful and checked in with us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed.

Perfect weekend getaway!

I loved the Cubby! The campsite was very well maintained (super clean)! They provide all the things you don’t wanna bring like coffee, a fridge, a microwave, paper towels, paper plates, etc. Ms Connie and Mr Andy were very helpful and answered any questions we had promptly. The showers and bathrooms are close by as well. There’s a general store a few miles down the road for breakfast and anything you forgot to bring! The Cubby is far enough away from the campfire site that we could tie our dog to a 15ft lead and he couldn’t reach it. Highly recommend!!

Connie and Andy are kind and responsive. The cabin was spacious and clean, with lots of natural light and cross breeze and has power which was really nice. A pump with water is located steps away and the site was private and peaceful. Hot water showers and bathrooms are a 5 minute walk.

Elk Creek Escape is a hidden gem!

Location is great off the main road so its quiet but close to restaurants, Hillsgrove covered bridge, Beckys Ice Cream and putt putt, swimming holes, hiking, and more. The hosts are fantastic! Very dog friendly and the grounds are well maintained. During our stay we saw 3 deer walking through the grounds! Andy and Connie are working hard to grow the campground and I love supporting small businesses. So glad we stayed here instead of Worlds End State Park as those dog spots are right next to the road and spots are close together.

The Sawmill Woodzie cabin was a nice, private retreat in a fern-covered wood. The cabin has one full bed and a bunk bed with a comfy couch. Our dogs had the best time running around. Most of the time we were on the porch enjoying the fresh air and sunlight. There's no water or electricity but there's a good number of candles and lanterns. There's WiFi just down the road but it didn't extend as far as the cabin. We'll definitely be back as we explore World's End and the Loyalsock forest.
