This is a great campsite - very large and private with beautiful views. Short walk up the hill to a very clean porta potty.
This was my first time tent camping with my dogs. They loved running around and exploring the pond and creek but they did manage to blow right through the electric fence to go visit the cows.
I'd definitely return.

My partner, our dog, and I had an amazing time!! The land is beautiful and the camping area is private and a nice, large space. Our dog loved going in the creek right by the campsite. The toilet was super clean, access to potable water was really convenient, and the cows and chickens were so cute. We loved our stay!!

Wow, it was a beautiful spot to pitch our tent! We were warmly welcomed and given a tour of the grounds. The 360-degree view was absolutely stunning. Plus, the portable toilet was incredibly clean — even the kids approved! We will definitely come back if we’re ever in the area again!

Candice is a great host! Our family had a fantastic time on her farm and the kids really enjoyed splashing in the creek. The site is easy to access and provided the seclusion we wanted. Although it was hot, the large trees provided ample shade. The sounds of the frogs lulled us to sleep each night and the rooster woke us in the morning. There’s lots to explore on the farm, to include cows and chickens, as well as the natural wildlife. A great place for our first time campers. Thanks Candice!

The farm, campsite, and hosts were all exactly what we needed on our late night camping endeavors. We booked this site last minute, early evening, after our original plans fell through. We got there around 9:30pm yet Candice and her family lead us to the site where a fire had been started before our arrival! The wood we bought was stashed nearby, and the frogs were croaking “hello”’s by the pond. If we could have stayed more than one night we would have but we’re grateful for the flexibility. The site was private and peaceful. We set up near the low rumbling creek! The farm was gorgeous, we got to watch the cows watching us and say hello to the chickens on the way to the portaportie in the morning. Candice gathered us fresh eggs that would stay fresh out of a cooler. And we bought homemade bread and strawberry rhubarb jam. Perfect road trip snack. Every thing was delicious. We will indeed be back!

This was a great Hipcamp! Shaded, level spot for tenting or perfect trees for two hammocks! Enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of the creek and the frogs in the pond. Short walk up the hill to a very clean porta potty. Area was mowed and access to an outdoor kitchen if needed. Great spot for camping!

We had a fantastic time camping on this beautiful farm! Candice was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. The campsite was flat, shaded, and a perfect setup for our tent. The peaceful setting made for a truly relaxing getaway, and our kids absolutely loved every minute of it! Between the friendly farm animals - chickens, cows and ducks, and the little rowboat on the pond, they were entertained for hours. We were also pleasantly surprised by the lack of bugs and the fact that it didn't smell like a typical farm at all! It was clean, quiet, and just a joy to experience. I would highly recommend planning a trip here - perfect for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy nature!

We had an absolute blast at Candice’s farm. It was exactly what we needed. As former primitive backpackers gone parents, were looking for a private campsite with the ease of car camping with kids. Candice and family were so welcoming, but also gave us our privacy at our campsite. The site is very large, well shaded, and flat. My kids enjoyed the stream, campfire, and space to run around.

Travelling through to an event in Lancaster, we needed a convenient spot to spend the night. Candy made sure we found the place easily with a couple of text messages and met us with a property tour when we arrived. The camping spot is creekside, quiet and private with a clean portapotty up the hill, a firepit and picnic table underneath some large walnut trees. Room to wander a bit on the property. The native tree plantings along the creek were a good place to birdwatch and will be excellent habitat as they grow. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

We had an amazing time! The land was beautiful, the hosts were wonderful and it was a great first time camping for our small children. Beautiful sunset, plenty of shade, and an open area for throwing the frisbee or playing corn hole. Lots of hiking and exploring nearby as well!

Candy’s property was amazing and everything stayed and then some. We most definitely would have loved to stay a second night. Our campsite had everything we needed and then some! We appreciated the privacy, the cold clear creek and the frog pond! This was the first solo outing for me and my dog companion and it couldn’t have gone better. Howard said thank you for the beautiful spot (and the 🦴).

Excellent site with nice views, beautiful shade trees, tons of privacy, and plenty of level areas for tents. The barn kitchen was very useful for doing dishes. Candice and family were great.

We tent camped on Candy's beautiful property and had a great time. Our kids loved being shown the cows and chickens as well as the creek and pond. Perfect flat, shaded spot with pretty views and plenty of space and privacy. They generously provided firewood and had an easily accessible toilet. The stars were beautiful too!

We had a great time at Walnut Hollow! Candy and Aaron were super friendly and accommodating and their property was gorgeous! They gave us a quick tour when we arrived. We had a relaxing time in our truck tent and we parked right next to the fire pit by the creek. The outhouse is not a far walk at all. The dogs loved sniffing about and we enjoyed flirting with Gracie the cow.

Picturesque drive. Beautiful secluded site on a cute little homestead. Drive up access. Gracious hosts. There was even fireflies! (Fireflies are an indicator species showing healthy land) 10/10 - Going back next week.

Candice’s property was Umazing. We used her property for camping. Located just down the hill from her house, it’s a huge piece, private type setting and was very large. I couldn’t have asked for a nicer campsite. If we are ever in the area again we are def. Staying here. There was a porta potty on site which was Very clean and just up from the campsite. In the morning you can visit with the ducks, chickens, cows and take a nice walk around the large property. Enjoy your stay with her family.

Tent camping at Candice’s farm was so serene. We got a beautiful sunset! The camping area is easily accessible and felt very private. Clean port-a-John and access to clean water. Last-minute booking but they had the area ready for us and were great hosts.
