Staying at Katie's farm was, as anticipated, refreshing. Seeing the sheep graze in the pastures and hearing the hens and chicks cluck and tweet was enriching to me. I loved visiting the farm store and must say that I finished the crushed tomatoes I bought before I arrived home later that day!

Beautiful and Comfortable
Perfect camping experience! Looking down on the sheep in the misty meadow in the morning from the top of the hill was one of the most picturesque sights I’ve ever seen. The big tree let us have a great time at the fire ring even when it was drizzling by providing excellent cover. There was a picnic table, fire ring (raised up on bricks for better circulation- nice touch!), all the firewood we needed, nice soft grass to set up the tents on, and a well maintained port-a-potty a two minute walk down the hill by the farmhouse. Very private and no buildings in sight. Definitely get the eggs and the picnic boxes, and the farm tour. Best Hipcamp experience to date!

Kind, Welcoming Farm
Katie and her husband were beyond flexible and accomodating to our family. We car camp with 2 young kids and they made sure we had a shaded and level spot (not their usual 2 sites). They were so kind and patient to show us the farm market and their sheep!! There is some road noise at the site, we still had a peaceful stay.

Fun, friendly farm campout getaway!
Katie and Gray were wonderful hosts! They gave us a detailed tour of their beautiful farm and enthusiastically opened up their farm store off hours so our girls (8 and 5) could poke around at the farm produce and hand-made local products. We also got to spend time with their sheep and chickens! We stayed at Site 2, which is really private and has excellent views, and backs up to a massive pasture, whose lovely bovine residents visited us both nights. Lots of space all around, and the site includes a fire pit and picnic table. Be sure to pack long pants and boots for all!

I knew camping at Baken Creek Farm would be a cool experience but I was not anticipating how rejuvenating and healing it would be! The space is FULL of nature, from ponds to trails to fields and woods, not to mention the animals and food grown on the property. There is something to appreciate at every turn. Katie is an amazing host, so personable, friendly and accommodating. She made me feel right at home on the farm, showed me around the property, shared stories and the history of the area, and made my stay so comfortable. I also had the opportunity to do some shopping at the farm store, and even picked wild berries, garden berries, and a gorgeous bouquet of the flowers grown on the farm. I’m already excited to return with some friends! I would recommend Baken Creek Farm to anyone looking for a unique, rejuvenating and educational camping getaway!

I really enjoyed my stay a Baken Creek Farm. I would suggest taking a vacation day this week so you can see the baby lambs. This is a definite must do Hip Camp. I lucked out and camped when chickens are available for sale and it was DELICIOUS!!! Site was perfect for my hammock and also has two nice matted tent areas. My site had a huge fire ring two nice benches and a picnic table. You are good with a folding wagon to haul your gear but I would recommend getting the add on for them to haul it to your site. Katie and Grey were great host. They have an awesome home and I am glad they are sharing what they are doing with Regenerative agriculture. This place makes you want to buy a small farm. Bring your fishing rod. I caught five bass!
