beautiful campsite! there are lovely trails near by. my only recommendation is to check the weather!! firewood may be a little wet depending on when your camping. besides that? 10/10

Nice and quiet and secluded. Firewood was there. It was a cold night and was able to setup my tent no problem and park onsite. Directions to site were accurate. Note there is no phone service there, which was not an issue. Had the best night of sleep Ive had in years.

This is a great spot to tent camp under the trees, enjoy a campfire (with firewood supplied!), and stargaze at a relatively secluded spot. The hike down to the creek is beautiful! I would definitely return to this spot.

The campsite was a little tricky to drive back to. Definitely a job for an SUV. That being said, once we pulled up it was nothing but fall leaves, green ferns and dense trees all the way around. Fire wood and a fire pit as promised. Perfect spot for our tent, camp chairs and the all important camp potty. We took our pup and had no issues whatsoever. It is a beautiful site. On Saturday we made our way to Ohiopyle for some hiking. We had a great time. I would definitely recommend this HipCamp.

Wonderful Space removed from the road. Public Winery right across the street. Wildlife from wild turkey to Red tailed hawks were all around us. Hammock camping worked out well, but 4-6 Person tents also fit the deck quite well. I will be back!

Beautiful land with lots of ferns and hemlock. It was the perfect base camp for us to hike the Laurel highland trail and visit the nearby winery. We enjoyed the short hike down to the creek.

This was our second time staying here, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The privacy is something you just can’t get at a state park, and our dog loved having the space to run around. We cooked a camp meal, relaxed by the fire, and enjoyed the peaceful setting. Part of us wants to keep this place a secret, but it’s too good not to share!

What a great site ! Jim was fantastic it was our first time using Hipcamp and everything was a positive experience. Any questions I had Jim would answer right away. Site has a deck a fire pit and lots of spots to pitch a tent. And a great spot for truck or van camping as well. Nice and quiet and peaceful. Lots of trails and places to hike and explore. Also it’s really nice to find a place that is dog friendly. And the site was clean. Very clean and well kept. Lots of wildlife around. And nice and quiet and dark at night.
Spot has really nice tree coverage and lots of shade and protection from wind and rain. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. We didn’t want to leave lol.
This site is close to just about everything in the area.
We’re not the type that likes to camp in campgrounds with people next to you. We like our privacy and peace. We were offered firewood but it was so nice out we didn’t need one. But has a great fire pit.
Jim was fantastic couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Just a lovely spot we will definitely be back. And we highly recommend this site.

Jim’s land provided lots of space & privacy. We had a large, 6 person tent, a shower house, a hammock, and filled the provided deck with all our kitchen items. We highly recommend a stay!

Had a wonderful time at Jim’s place. 4 nights spent and would certainly come back for more. Feels very private for the most part and has a wonderful stream close by for the dogs to have fun. Also not to jinx it for the future but, we didn’t find a single tick on ourselves or the dogs… however we did find a black bear!

If you’re looking for privacy and rustic camping, this is the spot for you. This campsite is tucked back deep in the woods, surrounded by trails and ferns. The fire pit is amazing and the deck and picnic table were perfectly situated for our campervan setup. Plenty of great spots for tent campers too!
We were only there a single night while we made our way to MI but would love to come back!

It was a decent spot for a quick camping trip out of town. Relatively close to neighbors, so definitely a decent amount of noise from kids and dogs and revving engines, but it was quiet at night so not too much of an issue. The raised deck was nice and we used the fire pit the first night for making s'mores.
Relatively secluded, because of some pretty thick tree cover, and no one came around or bothered us and directions and communication through messages was good.

This was our second stay at this spot and we really like it. The fireplace and deck + picnic table are a great addition to the pretty nature. The only issue we had was some other campers setting off fireworks which really freaked out our dogs. Otherwise it's a very friendly place for dogs and we would come back at any time that isn't a holiday weekend.

Had an amazing time at Jim's property. A neighbor was playing music till 3am but I didn't mind since I was taking in the lunar eclipse. Still felt very secluded even without all the foliage filled in. Also enjoyed a small hike down to the creek which is just a short distance away. I will definitely return as often as I can! Thank you Jim!

Nice camping location with plenty of space for tent setups and hammock setups. The firepit is setup well and plenty of kindling on the ground. Good amount of space to hike and explore and check out the local creek and large rock formations. There is a house about 50 yards away that can be noisy with dogs barking, kids yelling and a dirt bike, but that's not the host's fault at all.
The nights were very quiet and peaceful. The parking spot has a clearing for star gazing but otherwise plenty of shade from the trees over the firepit.

Great location! We were able to spend the day at Ohiopyle and also visit Fallingwater both a short distance from the site. Very private. A little tricky to find (long driveway) and you need a vehicle with high clearance to navigate the I paved road to the site but totally worth it. We will be back!

Spent the weekend tent camping here. Huge bonfire pit, and nice deck to pull up next to and set up tent on next to picnic table. When we got there, lots of chopped firewood that was dry and burned well. Very unique little town, hiked at Fallingwater and went to see the 9/11 memorial in Somerset. Great weekend, would definitely recommend. Very secluded and quiet.

Perfect place to commune with nature. We felt very relaxed and secluded here, and spent most of the day down by the creek (a short ten minute hike away) with our dog. Nice big fire pit with plenty of wood. The deck and picnic table were super convenient, and the tiki torches kept the bugs away. Thanks for sharing your land with us. It’s beautiful!

It was really beautiful with all of the ferns! It was quiet and peaceful and private, barely can tell that there are neighbors off in the distance. Plenty of space to explore, but also a great place to just stay at camp and relax. Plenty of firewood and kindling available when I got there and Jim was very nice letting me know where everything was and that the forecast called for a clear sky for a great view. Definitely want to come back and hike some more and explore!
