Welcome to Sky Valley Acres, where history meets the horizon. Come join us out in our little slice of country paradise, 30 acres of natural prairie and woodlands nestled on the highest peak in the county overlooking the historic Twin Mounds Valley. Not too far from home, but just far enough to feel like an adventure, we are conveniently located 20 minutes outside the quaint college town of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Our sites offer both large open areas for vehicles and activities paired with private wooded forest for tents and seclusion. Individual sites are many acres apart designed in such a way that every experience is peaceful and private. We offer maintained camping sites which are easily accessible that come with amenities, in addition to our alternative primitive camping experience for the pros further in the Backwoods. What ever your needs or preference we have a spot for you! We have easy access to two main highways with the nearest Walmart 10 minutes away, not to mention great cell phone coverage for all the main providers at most locations on the property. A little bit about how we started. Like most of us, we were in desperate need of a place to get away from the bustle and grind of daily life, to slow down, decompress, and destress. This land the universe had waiting for us, gave us just that! It changed our lives and now we are excited to open up this sanctuary to others who share our passion for the great outdoors! Interestingly, each year we find out more about our home, from its Native American prehistory, to its 19th century Civil War conflict, and most recently, a lost article published in the 1940s in the local Oklahoman gazette that enticingly gossips about long lost Buried Treasure!

This booking is for camping pros who want to hunker down of the beaten path, comes with access to the back 20 acres of prairie and cedar woodland. Depending on the weather you'll either need a 4x4 or park off the main gravel and pack out. If you are up for a true primitive experience this is for you! Find your very own spot and make it your own! Does not come with shower access but help yourself to the composting toilets at the front of the property and to any water spigots you come across. Come get away and enjoy 30 acres of space and solitude. We have beautiful views of the surrounding valley where our sites are secluded and private, it is the perfect place to break away from the daily grind. History surrounds you, located between the "Twin mounds " ( Battle of Round Mountain Nov. 19, 1861) our campsite is the highest elevation in Payne county. Most of the land is rolling natural prairie grasses and evergreen cedars. We are a great location if you enjoy hunkering down for the day or hiking around. We welcome all pets! These sites are further back into the natural Prairie and Red Cedar woodlands from our maintained sites, this is a great place for the experienced camper! Blaze your own trails and nestle down in your own perfect camping spot, we still offer a fireing and grill top for each group. Weather permitting drive out into the backwoods or park on the gravel trail and walk to your location. This site sits at the end of the trail and best location for watching sunsets, walking trails and being tucked away. Take the tunnel of trees shortcut to easily access the Showers and Toilets. If you have furry travelers this site is the most recommended for trail access and exploring. " Come get away and enjoy 30 acres of space and solitude. We have beautiful views of the surrounding valley where our sites are secluded and private, it is the perfect place to break away from the daily grind. Fall a sleep gazing up at the stars and wake up peacefully to the sound of native bird songs. It's right at the front of the property and nestled in a mature tree grove, site comes with a picnic table and grill top over large fire ring. Site comes with access to nearby composting toilets, showers and trails, Wi-Fi wont reach this area but can be reached if you park closer to the bathrooms. This is our guest favorite, it sits at the back of the property after winding through meadow and hilltop, it is secreted away in the cedar woodland, depending on the season there is a rushing creek or dry bed revealing the giant stone slabs! Spread out in the meadow or cuddle up in privacy on the hammock, either way this is a fantastic site for an individual or large group. This was an amazing spot and my favorite spot all over in Oklahoma as camper who moves around every weekend. Beautiful trees and nature with no noises around and Ash is a fantastic person who is always there to help with anything comes to be assisted.

I cannot wait to come back next spring! The property is beyond beautiful! The cute outhouse, upcoming shower and hammocks just add to the fun atmosphere here. The hosts are absolutely incredible! They checked on me, gave me some “newbie” advice and assistance and were just the sweetest ever!

This was such a special place, and we loved the wooded seclusion of site 5. The hammock was a treat for our daughters, and our dogs loved roaming around off leash. The trails and property are so well maintained, and the owners were incredibly hospitable. We'll definitely be back!

We had a great time at site 2. Easy access to the composting toilet (which is awesome!) for my toddlers and it was nice and open for them to run around. The picnic table, hammocks, and grate for cooking over the fire were awesome additions as well!! We will definitely be back, and are excited to try out the more primitive camping sites Ash has to offer!

Beautiful space! Campsite was very well maintained and tucked away. Directions were easy and the map they included helped a lot. I usually camp alone and I felt very safe here. Will definitely be booking again for the fall & winter!

We loved camping on Ash’s land. The site was easy to get to and set up perfectly. The fire pit had an iron grate you could lay across it making it easy to cook over the open fire. We will definitely be back!

Well kept and maintained site. Site 2 was very open so my dog could run around. Nice firepit with cooking grate. It rained while I was here but it was grassy so wasn't muddy at all. Will definitely come back!

Beautiful location and wonderful hosts. Cows behind you, birds all around you singing happily and listening to the coyotes talking at night was amazing. They have the most adorable outhouse! 5 stars all day. They are very active on the app so if you have any questions I'm sure they'll be quick to reply. Highly recommend if you're passing through.

Sky Valley Acres is beautiful! Ash & Michelle are excellent hosts. There are several nice, private camping spots and there is a two-private-stall compost outhouse on the property close and convenient. You wouldn't normally think something like an outhouse would be cute but they put effort into making it nice. Very responsive hosts. Nice land. Convenient outhouse. I look forward to camping at Sky Valley Acres in the near future. Cheers!

Campsite was awesome! Privacy from other group was great, the composting toilet was incredible, you just have to see it to believe it! Great access, trash by the gate, I mean probably the best experience we have had so far - INFINITY STARS!!! We were there for the Boys from Oklahoma Shows for the weekend and it was super convenient to get back and forth from Stillwater! We will definitely be back again!! :):)

We tent camped at site 2, which is the closest site to the clean out house. Plenty of space to spread out and have vehicles close by. Our spot was a lot more open to the wind, but site 3 up the hill is well protected. Property is easy to access from a narrow gravel road. We were about 25 min away from Boone Pickens Stadium and this Hipcamp was the perfect compliment to our concert experience!

Really nice and quiet primitive camping just outside of Stillwater. Lots of space, hammock, table and fire ring provided. They even had solar lights to mark our camp site. The outhouse was very clean. Well done!

What really stood out is the serene sound of nothing. I took my birthday trip out here for a couple nights to get away the hustle of city life. Me and my fiancée took huge advantage of the hammock and read pretty much the entire time. Very well kept grounds and an amazing host offering to pull us out of the mud if it had taken place. Would 100% recommend!

Absolutely loved this place despite that short stay. My kids and I were on a roadtrip and stumbled across this place and the kids fell in love! The spot we had was secluded from all points, included a table and fire pit. The spot was only a short walk from the bathroom, which was very comfortable.. the walk and the bathroom itself lol. I hope to find myself in the area again to make a longer stay

Ash’s property is great! We camped at site 3 with a 26 foot trailer. The site was very nice and quiet. Picnic table, and nice fire rings. We’re going back if Ash will have us. lol PS- the outhouse itself is worth the trip!

Awesome location!! Stayed at site 3, up on the hill and secluded, shore power on site too. The Owls and Coyotes sound great when you get the pleasure of hearing them! Good restroom (I only scored on the ring game once, if you go here, which you should, you’ll know) Fresh cold drinking water an easy walk from the sites, sweet trails to walk with your furry companion. The host Ash is very responsive and happy to tell you anything you need to know during your stay. Thanks again Ash, see yah on down the trail
