Heritage Lake Farm

Michael’s land is gorgeous and it was heaven to have it to ourselves. We especially loved the trails in the wooded area. There’s an awesome fire pit too. Looking forward to another opportunity to tent-camp there!

Beautiful property. Had so much fun fishing and hanging out on the dock. Very private. It was too chilly to swim but we would definitely go back during warmer weather. Michael was very responsive and helpful.

Book it!

We had a great time camping! Don’t think about coming here just do it! Our third year in a row! Swimming, fishing, cooking out by the fire. All of it in a private setting.

FarmStay - Cabin2 @HeritageLakeFarm

For those that can't get by without a shower this is great. The basement level of the cabin has all the house essentials, but you still get to stay in a tent or rv for everything else associated with camping. Our dog enjoyed being off leash at the property and we loves being the only ones there.

This was my first time using the Hipcamp app. We enjoyed two quiet and peaceful nights! Serene and beautiful. All of the directions were spot on! I really appreciated it as it was only my second time camping with the Class C RV. We will definitely go back!

Phenomenal!! This was our first trip with our new class B camper van and 3 dogs - host was very responsive and the property is amazing. Would not just recommend but plan on staying again as this is only 45 minutes from home. Thanks Michael!!

The description says it’s a working farm and the other sites are blocked off so you have the entire area to yourself. Well both of those things are true. Except the random Amish hunters with beagle dogs at 5:30 am and the workers that use the camp site to gain access to the work even there is 100 acres to gain access into various portions of the property. But by far the worst part was the old hidden varmit traps that were not disclosed of locations or styles that one of my dogs found while on a leashed walk. We were walking along the steel farm building and my boy doing what dogs do found a hole to investigate and did. His head/mouth/neck were snapped tightly into the trap so badly he was suffocating. In a frenzy of chaos and panic we somehow managed to free him and he survived but not without injuries to him and us. So please ensure to keep your furry babies from around the building because frankly we got lucky.

We had a BLAST here! The host was very quick to communicate and answered any questions we had. The pond was one of the highlights of our stay! The diving board and sliding board were so much fun. We swam and laughed and had a great time. Bathroom, shower and kitchen space in the basement were so convenient. Nice secluded property. When you book you get the entire place to yourself. If you're thinking about booking, DO IT!!! I am so glad we stayed here on our first stop on a cross country road trip.

Beautiful place to camp. Sits way back from the road. Quiet and peaceful. Caught (and released) bass in the pond every day, and watched as beavers swam across, and blue herons flew over. . Also enjoyed watching the skydivers that took off from a nearby airfield. Which, by the way, was the only plane we (only occasionally) heard while we were there. If you're pulling a camper, there's a short, but very narrow bridge to cross. Not a lot of room on either side of our 7ft 6in wide travel trailer.

The property was beautiful with a nice pond! My dogs loved playing in it and I enjoyed paddling in it. The host very kind and overall we had a nice time. A few things that weren’t my favorite: The site was a bit disorganized when we arrived, not very set up. There was a huge rusted steel pipe in the fire pit area, and the fire “pit” didn’t have a good surround to block the wind. Some of the outdoor furniture was flipped over and distressed. The field surrounding the camp area is now just overgrown tall grass, which I didn’t want to hike through with my dogs, so we felt there wasn’t too much area to explore around. The grass at the campsite must have been just recently cut back from being very high, and the entire area was covered in huge clumps of cut grass. At night, we were surprised to be able to hear several surrounding neighbors. Barking dogs, music being played, and a few people yelling. I believe they were pretty far away, but the noise just carried through the open space. Finally, a tree right on the site was swarming with bees. We did notice right when we arrived that there seemed to be a lot of bees around, but mostly ignored it. While walking with my dogs in the evening, I heard a low, loud hum. I looked up to see thousands of bees flying in and out of many holes in the tree. The site being so close to the nest, I was a bit concerned about the possibility of being swarmed. Overall nice place, but I think it needs some updates, especially for the high price.

Perfect for Dog Friendly Families

My son and dogs LOVED this hip camp site. Michael greeted us and showed us the hook ups. The dogs & kids were already in the water at this point. The pond has bubblers to keep it fresh. The platform is complete with a diving board and slide. We even got a dinner show with a nearby skydiving school. Please note, if you have a slide out and park a bit further from the house you’ll need more than 10’ of sewer line. Not a big deal. The bridge is a big scary perception wise but there was plenty of room.

Beautiful property, great large pond which my 3 dogs loves! There is a small bridge and my 36ft diesel pusher threaded the needle. I needed 2 sewer hoses for length and 2 water hoses. All worked fine. Huge property to explore and hike.

Beautiful oasis

Large, private land that is picturesque and peaceful. There is lots of land to roam on. Our dog loved running around. The full hookup was great and gave us a beautiful view of the land on pond with all the trees in full Fall color! The two cabins looked cozy and would’ve nice place to stay. We would hope to be able to return some day. The host Mike was very responsive to our questions. We highly recommend.

Camping on Michael’s land

We loved our stay on Michael’s land. The spot is quiet, private and fairly level, set up was easy and hook ups were convenient. Close to town for dinner (we recommend two travelers tavern) and an hour from canton. Large fire pit too! Highly recommend

Incredible place for campsites

Amazing camp and great host. We felt like we got the much needed time away from the city but was only 45 minutes away. We want to book again as soon as we can! A cool plus is watching all of the plane sky divers in the field next to us. Highly recommend!

Ultimate privacy!

Wife and I enjoyed the property and the solitude that it offered. The ability to utilize the hot shower, flushable toilet, and kitchen area was definitely a bonus. The amount of firewood you get with the purchased bundle was more than enough for two days of cooking and heat. Looking forward to our next stay!

Farm stay with flush toilet/shower

We had a nice time here over Labor Day weekend. We had the entire property to ourselves which was great. The property is large so there were a lot of places to take our dogs hiking. There is a sky diving center nearby so we enjoyed watching people jump and float down with their parachutes. This does create small plane traffic during the day but it wasn’t bothersome. There are also some trees near the fire pit area perfect for setting up hammocks. Dairy Queen is within a 10 minute drive so that was great too. We planned this trip for the swimming pond and all its cool features but were very unsure about the water quality due to greenish appearance of water and lots of algae in the center of the pond so sadly we didn’t swim. The owner generously supply’s flotation devices so we did do that a tiny bit, but quickly came back in. The other issue to be aware of is the grass in common areas was 6 inches tall and higher. This makes for a very wet morning and creates tripping hazards. The owner kindly allowed us to use the bathroom facilities which were exceptionally clean and nice. Over all we had a nice time even though we didn’t have the summer pond fun we anticipated.

Beautiful!!!

We had such a great time camping at Heritage Lake Farm. It is absolutely beautiful and so serene. We took all 3 of our dogs and they enjoyed it as much as we did. The host emailed us all the details ahead of time and answered my questions right away etc. He also came and met us when we got there to make sure everything was good. The only regret we have is staying for just one night because we were not ready to leave! Will defintely be returning in the future.

My husband and I loved tent camping at Heritage Lake Farm and had an amazing time despite a few thunderstorms that rolled through. It was very private and our dogs had a blast with the chance to play and run around off leash. The location is beautiful and we really enjoyed the lake and the row boat. We would definitely come back again!

Peaceful Retreat

Heritage Lake Farm is a beautiful and peaceful place, seeming far more removed from the day-to-day world than you'd feel in a campgroung. The campsites are more an area than sites, with electric, water, toilet, shower available, plus a kitchen if needed, and a lovely pond for swimming. Due to a rainy forecast we left our pop-up at home and slept in the larger cabin, tucked way in the woods. It was comfortable on a warm, humid night, with either AC or windows on three sides. Michael was very responsive and helpful, though he was not on site. This we found was a plus, since we had the place entirely to ourselves and saw not a single soul in 24 hours. We spent just one night there and didn't want to leave. We'll be back.

Cabin 1 is Amazing!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing weekend at Heritage Lake Farms. The cabin was so cute and perfect right on the lake. The property was beautiful and we would be more than happy to plan another camping trip here!! Not only was Micheal great at helping and communicating, but there were so many things to use! It was a fantastic trip all around.

The quiet serenity and peacefulness of the property was absolutely amazing. Perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and ability to recharge. Rv hook ups were easily accessible and parking was easy.
