We loved everything about our stay! The farm is beautiful and peaceful. Our kids loved seeing the animals, exploring the property and stargazing. Can’t wait to go back.

This is a very beautiful and peaceful place! It was so relaxing. Being able to camp near the farm, look over into the distance and watch the farm animals made the camping experience very unique and special! We hope to return again someday.

Glamping Cabin #2 - Full/2 twin bed
We had such a wonderful time at this cabin! The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and we loved being able to wander the property, visit with the cows and goats, and watch the fireflies light up the night. The evening was spent by the fire pit, roasting s’mores, so peaceful and relaxing. When my son lost his blanket, the hosts went out of their way to help us look for it, which we truly appreciated. Overall, it was a charming, restful getaway, and we left with great memories.

Glamping Cabin #1 - Queen Bed
Cute little spot! I just stayed here with my dog for a quick overnight while we were on a road trip. It felt super private as the cabin is far back from the main house. It was super clean and the bed was really comfortable too! We loved seeing all the fireflies in the field :)

Glamping Cabin #2 - Full/2 twin bed
This site could be perfect for you, depending on what your definition of glamping is. Overall, it is super adorable and the host is wonderfully communicative and responsive! There's a sturdy roof over your head with a comfortable bed, behind a beautiful wheat field surrounded by trees. It's peaceful and feels remote, but with a Walmart just 7 min away by car. If you're into primitive camping but want a roof and a bed for a change of pace then this site is absolutely for you! There are screens on the windows, a cute Edison bulb with fairy lights for illumination at night, a fire pit, free firewood, and Adirondack chairs to lounge in. It's great! However, if you're looking for a glamping experience that has the amenities of, well, not camping then this site might pose some challenges for you. The potable water and pit toilet are about a 10 minute walk back to the main property, and the mosquitoes are ruthless (obviously not the host's fault). I recommend you bring a citronella candle and carry in your own water, camp stove, etc. Overall, I'm glad we stayed here and really enjoyed it. And while we would definitely return, some folks might find that this site doesn't have as many amenities as the term "glamping" would suggest.

I liked camping at Mother Oak Campsite at Heartland Homestead. My hosts were very generous, giving me extra sleeping bags when I needed them to stay warm. When the torrential downpour of rain collapsed my tent, they let me sleep in the barn and gave me use of the cabin for the day after I paid an extra $25 to nap in it, until I found a longer term option to live in on Airbnb. I was camping to give myself more time to find an Airbnb host willing to host me. I successfully completed my mission. Watch out for ticks. They are everywhere.
They have a cute and friendly barn cat named Moonbeam that became my best friend. I spent lots of time cuddling with her. She likes to make biscuits a lot though, and her claws are very sharp. I sang songs to the goats and the cows who came over to me to listen to me singing The Sound of Music, The Happy Wanderer, and Sing A Song by The Carpenters. The goats came up to the fence to be petted and eat dandelions and to lick me. The chickens mostly made a lot of noise and ran around but they were pretty to look at. I was really sad to know they were all going to be eaten (except Moonbeam) because I am a vegan and I want them all to live to old age on a farm animal sanctuary. It breaks my heart they are all going to die soon. But they are living really good lives right now, with plenty of room to roam, and are very well cared for by the entire family. I just wish they got to live them all the way until their natural deaths from old age.

Mother Oak Campsite
Heartland was perfect for me stopping through on my road trip! I was able to pull my car directly to the site and set up my SUV tailgate tent. I arrived after dark so it was a little difficult to find the entrance, I only had to turn around once, but during the day the entrance is clearly labeled and it is just before the Equestrian property they mentioned. It was a safe and quiet spot for the night and I would absolutely stay again!

We loved camping at Sarah's farm! Great location, her directions were clear and easy to follow. They also included a few amenities not listed like firewood. The campsite was great and we enjoyed the space. There are cows right next to the site, so if you have reactive pets that might be something worth considering.

The hosts are kind and quick to respond to questions. Pretty warm in the summer mornings, but plenty of shade in the afternoon. This is a great site and I plan to return again when the weather cools down a bit.

Heartland is peaceful as can be! Lovely and clean, hosts were sweet and welcoming. They let me borrow their golf cart to take my things across the field to the cabin. My dog loved it!

I have been to many Hipcamp sites and this one was the best kept and most welcoming place we have been to. We were traveling with toddlers and dogs and planned to stay at a
Mother Oak (which had an epic fire pit and plenty of good tent spots), but due to thunderstorms we decided to upgrade to a cabin. It was perfect and cozy and the bedding was provided so we had to unpack very little. The farm breakfast comes highly recommended from our whole crew and we topped it off with a trail walk in the woods to end our stay.
