If you are looking for a secluded campsite deep in the woods, you may want to keep looking. But if you want the ease and peace of a campsite RIGHT ON THE NEW RIVER with everything just steps from your tent, then come out and claim your site! Redemption: To repair or restore. To make good. This campground represents redemption and healing in so many ways. Our hope is that you will find much peace, joy, and adventure here and we promise to do our best to make it everything you expected and more! Numerous large manicured campsites in an open space DIRECTLY ON THE NEW RIVER where adventures abound! Up to 4 guests and 2 tents per site. Newly constructed tiny home provides GLAMPING at its finest! The Liberty cabin shares a space with a few tent sites along the river. With the addition of Liberty, I have limited the number of campers to 4. (Exceptions may be made for holiday weekends). There is plenty of space for everyone and the cabin sits above the tent sites for amazing views and privacy. While HWY 16 can be a bit noisy during busy times, step into the campsites and let the peaceful noise-canceling river serenity whisk you away. Forest views across the river with endless fireflies and stars that light up the night! Zaloo's Canoes, Kayak, and Tubes is within eyesight and will set you up with an amazing float or paddle down river. Plentiful small mouth bass and trout fishing just steps from your site. Outhouse w/washing station. Fire pits at each site as well as a large communal fire pit and picnic tables. Downtown West Jefferson is just 15 minutes away with local breweries, quaint restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, shopping, music, art, and a wonderful farmer's market from May - October. The quaint little town of Lansing, NC is quickly becoming a favorite stop of mine. Check out the Old Orchard Creek General Store, Pie on the Mountain Pizza, the Old Orchard Creek Blueberry Farm, and Molly Chomper for a perfect day in Ashe County. The New River State Park is an easy walk, float, paddle or drive away. This park is absolutely GORGEOUS and impeccably maintained, including hiking trails, public facilities, showers, boat launch and pick up, etc. Just a short drive to multiple Blue Ridge Parkway entry points for ease of access to Boone, Appalachian State University, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, and the Linville Gorge. Mount Jefferson and Grayson Highlands are also just a short drive away for unlimited hiking and incredible mountain views. My personal favorite is hiking with the wild ponies at Grayson Highlands! We have Firewood available for a nominal fee. Just let us know and we will make arrangements to have it ready for you upon arrival. Please respect quiet hours between 10 PM and 8 AM each evening.

GLAMPING at its finest! Adorable one-room cabin DIRECTLY ON THE NEW RIVER where adventures abound! Enjoy fishing and swimming just steps from your door! Conveniently located next door to Zaloo's Canoes, Kayaks, and Tubes where you can schedule an amazing float or paddle down river. Large firepit allows for peaceful evenings, complete with forest views across the river and endless fireflies and stars that light up the night! Redemption: To repair or restore. To make good. Because of my busy work life and travel schedule, I prefer guests to bring their own bedding. I like to call it BYOB - Bring Your Own Bedding. Linens can be provided for an additional charge. Firewood available for a nominal fee. Just let us know and we will make arrangements to have it ready for you upon arrival. Cabin by the River

LIBERTY CABIN@NEW RIVER REDEMPTION
We stayed during a snow fall, so we did not get the full river experience- but even in November the view is beautiful. The little cabin was just enough for my young family of 4 and our dog. Host made it super simple and had everything we would need and made sure to check on us via messages to make sure the heater was sufficient (which it definitely was).

Such an amazing host and the scenery is gorgeous! Amy was so attentive and provided us water, logs for purchase and even a cute goodie bag.

We loved our time here! Amy greeted us on arrival, provided a little ‘care’ package and was able to provide some great recommendations for hikes and meals. Super nice host! The site has a fire ring and is right next to the river. There’s only about 4 more sites plus a little cabin located right behind the tent sites. It was a little tricky driving up the hill to get to the road, so we typically left via the entrance which had less of an incline.

Amy's Land is a great place to camp. Views are beautiful. The bathroom is very clean, the only thing is that if you have to use it at night, you'll need to bring some kind of light with you, as there's no light, but that wasn't a problem for us. The place is very peaceful and relaxing. Amy is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.

We loved our stay! The campsite was great, clean, and beautiful. The morning fog that rolls over the river creates a peaceful scene. Would recommend this site if you are looking to be by the river and easy access to your car. We visited the local Ashe County Farmers market since it was a short drive away.

The most perfect place for little on the river!!! We brought our small camper down here and loved everything about it. The perfect place to boondock and enjoy nature. Amy was wonderful and communicated quickly. So nice to have a AFFORDABLE place. Especially with several small kids, budget creates a quality experience. We will be back!

The campsite is good right next to the river so if you want to go in and do some fishing its a perfect spot. Also right next to zaloos kayak and tubing to do some fun activity. One drawback is it is right next to the road so there will be some vibration when vehicles go fast and I felt that there could have been a better bathroom and a shower for the 45$ I paid for a night but still decent and worth it for the scenary and the fishing we got to know.

As always, the best spot and the most fun! Camping on the river but also 15 mins from a lot of good food and entertainment. We love to go into West Jefferson but also a day spent in the water just relaxing is just what’s needed! Amy is the best host and it’s great to have port o potties on site plus running water to wash your hands and also wood if you need more for your fire. This was my 4th year in a row but it won’t be my last time!

This is a fantastic spot right next to the river, making for a really enjoyable and refreshing getaway. While there were plenty of others around, it still offered a great atmosphere to unwind and appreciate the beautiful setting. Amy was incredibly responsive and attentive, helping us both before our arrival and throughout our stay. Her thoughtful communication and hospitality made everything smooth and welcoming. We’re grateful for such a wonderful weekend away from the heat and would happily recommend this place to others looking for a nice escape.

Amazing camp! Kids played all day in the river. We caught fish and had an absolute blast. Host was amazing and very helpful throughout our entire stay. 10 out of 10!!

I stayed the night at New River Redemption and had an absolute blast. Amy was an incredible host, she’s kind, generous, and super thoughtful. She set me up with exactly what I was looking for and went above and beyond by providing a gallon of water and firewood upon arrival. Her communication was spot-on; she clearly laid out directions and all the details I needed for a smooth, easy stay. The site itself was amazing, peaceful, beautiful, and the water was incredible. Honestly, the only downside was having to leave. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re considering booking, do it. You won’t regret it!

Nice area for tent camping. Quiet and right on the river. Amy is a wonderful host and gave us a gallon of water and a Smores goodie bag. I would definitely recommend!

What an amazing campsite! We had a wonderful time at New River Redemption. It was peaceful next to the river and easy to spend time relaxing in the water. Amy was an excellent host and had some yard games for us to use, too.

Amy’s sites are in a beautiful grassy spot right on the river. Very comfortable place to set up a tent. We enjoyed building a fire right beside the river. Amy provided firewood for a small fee and was so thoughtful to provide fire starters, S’mores items, and some other fun snacks for the kids. Our boys loved fishing directly in front of our campsite and caught a few smallmouth bass. It’s close to Zaloo’s canoes who was our canoe/kayak outfitter. Handy portajohn and running water were great to have close by. We would definitely recommend Amy’s campsites. She was really friendly and flexible. When we had to switch weekends due to bad weather she allowed us to move to a different weekend. Thanks Amy!

Amy was a fantastic host and extremely responsive! The location is so convenient if you want to enjoy the outdoors and activities on the river, while still being so close to town. Beautiful well kept camping sites right on the new river. Amy was very attentive and made sure everyone had everything they need and that they made it back to the camp site safe after a trip down the river. We certainly would camp here again!

Amy is a great host and her property is by far the best hipcamp I have stayed at. The grounds are well taken care of and the views are great. Toilet is very clean and the fishing is beyond fantastic. Very well appointed and thw marshmallows and fire starters were a great touch. I will definitely be back as soon as I can with son. Highly recommend.

NEW RIVER REDEMPTION
This campsite was clean and open as shown. The owner Amy was very proactive to our needs prior to us showing up. During our stay if questions arose she was available in a timely manner to answer. We were a group of 8 (2 in the Cabin) which is beautiful and 6 tenting and had a fantastic time. We will be back.
