Vilem was a warm host, greeted us upon arrival, showed us to the site, and had made sure we were set for our stay. Camp is tucked between the water and a vast crop field--really gorgeous--with a fire pit and grill top (you can use for two separate fires or place the one inside the other). The sounds of the river are really peaceful. You will also hear to moos and crow of nearby animals (not intrusive, but background noise). There was more than enough room to set up our two person tent and park our car. The site is located near a long walking path with copious amounts of water to fish in, if you visit during the season. It had rained during our stay, but we brought our 4WD car and placed a tarp under our tent during setup and had no issue with mud/getting out of the field and didn't sleeping in water. The ground is pretty level. Because the area is flat, and there were no crops growing, we made sure to stake our tent and moved our car beside it during an especially windy night. I popped in my earplugs and had no issue sleeping though.
In the surrounding area (accessible by car), are several sprawling farms with cute stands to purchase baked goods, dairy products and meat. It's a short ride to the center of town (Delhi) where we were able to get gas, firewood, and cell service.
Overall, we had a really lovely stay at an incredibly peaceful site. Vilem was a great host and would check in every once in a while. My partner (and pup!) enjoyed their birthday weekend camping here and we would love to come back.
