The site was well kept and easy to find. We stayed in Site 1 which felt very secluded and peaceful and wandered over to the neighboring field that was empty in the morning to catch the fog over Schroon River which was a fantastic way to start the morning.

Such an awesome stay! We stayed at Site 1 and it was so private and cozy. Will definitely be back!
My friends and I had an excellent stay at James’ campsite. The site itself is clear and picturesque, and having your morning coffee over the overlooking cliff sight of the river was awesome. Plenty of privacy and space, even our dogs seemed happy! Toilets and water source are a short 2 minute walk. Our only complaint was the heavy presence of mosquitos, but that’s why you bring bug spray and citronella candles. James was responsive and helpful, and always available. Highly recommended!
Stayed on site four with an RV, tent and a couple hammocks during Labor Day weekend. It was fantastic, spacious and very private. We had trail with river access and spent time on paddle boards and fishing. The site was shaded through the heat of the day and the amenities of a heated shower and firewood on site were great. Would not hesitate to return again!

I stayed at site 1 for one night with my dog, and it was amazing! James met me when I arrived and showed me where the firewood was, bathrooms ect. He then took me to the site and answered all my questions and let me know to reach out to him if I needed anything. He was very hospitable and helpful! I absolutely would stay here again
We had a wonderful camping trip at Site 1. The riverside views were beautiful, and the site felt private, spacious, and comfortably cool thanks to the shade—especially appreciated during the summer. There was plenty of room for our car and tents, making it a great setup for our family and dogs.
Jim was a friendly, helpful host, and we especially appreciated how clean and well kept the bathroom and shower were. The river access was a little adventurous, which made it extra fun for our kids and dogs, and there are great kayaking opportunities nearby.
The bathroom and shower are located at another site. They are not far away, but having direct access from Site 1 would have made an already excellent stay even more convenient. Overall, a beautiful spot that we’d happily visit again.

Host was nice! Site was super clean and large with a great view of the stars!
Site #1 was a great spot to car camp - plenty of room for 2 vehicles, a tent and more. Well kept property, nice views of the pines & creek and you have access to a bathroom, shower and running water if needed. Nice fire pit and firewood is available. Plenty of hiking trails nearby as well as a Price Shopper, gas stations and restaurants if you want.
I-87 is right nearby and you can regularly hear trucks on it, but it also quickly falls into the background.. its the only reminder that you're not deep in the woods somewhere. Overall very peaceful and quiet location and James is a great host. Will definitely recommend and plan to stay again.
Spent three days at this beautiful location. Saw a bald eagle, hummingbird and great blue heron. James was a great host and the shower and setup to wash dishes was extremely convenient.

I stayed at site 1 and loved it. Very secluded, and setup so I could watch the fire while overlooking the river. James helped get me settled in and give me a lay of the land. Definitely recommend!
Great campsite and location near SPAC, Saratoga Springs and Lake George. We loved the River view, outdoor shower with HOT water and quiet, private vibes.

We loved camping on James’s land! He was an incredible host and very helpful when needed. The property is beautiful and has an unbeatable sunset over looking the river and mountains. Our young daughter and two dogs were with us, it was a place for them!

What an amazing trip! The site was very clean with a beautiful view! We couldn’t figure out the shower but the host helped us right away! The host is very friendly and was amazing to work with! Will book again and recommend this site to anyone! Thank you for the wonderful weekend!

Such a great site great view and the showers and outhouse were super clean! Highly recommend James is also pretty cool!
What a great spot! We really enjoyed the convenience of wood for fires, the hot shower & sink for dishes. The sunsets are BEAUTIFUL! The only thing that is overlooked in description was the 24foot drop of bank to river. Pictures disguise this in reviews & I would not choose this campsite if we had kids with us! Otherwise, we will be back!

Just as described- a lovely spot to stay. The port-a-potty was pleasant, the sink with a hose made it easy to keep everything clean and everyone hydrated, and the fire pit and picnic table were fun additions to our afternoons and evenings. jThe spot felt special because of the river's morning fog and evening beaver. I'd recommend staying here and I'd stay here again.
This is my second time staying on James’s property at site 2 with my dog! We loved it just as much as the first time. James and Debbie are super welcoming and easy to reach if you need anything. Porta potty was exceptionally clean! There’s an outdoor shower as well which I didn’t end up using, and also a sink where you can wash your dishes, etc. Site 2 has the most direct views over the water, so that’s why it’s been our favorite. Hope to be back again next year!
Easy check in, host was kind and easy to talk to. He gave us useful information about the area. Our campsite was private and relaxing. The hot shower was a big bonus!

This place is a beautiful gem. The site we were in was very private. Had a little trail down to the river which was basically a private little beach area. The owner is a cool dude and did everything to help make the trip that much better. Would recommend this to anyone, in fact I already have to a bunch of my friends. Would definitely go back.

The camp site was amazing! It was beautifully set looking upon the river. The area was spacious and private. My kids loved going down the trail to the river. James was very welcoming during our stay.
