We had a great stay at this campsite (3)! It’s a beautiful spot—surrounded by nature and with that classic “real camping” feel, which we really appreciated. All the utilities (water, electricity & sewage.) worked perfectly, which made the experience even more enjoyable and hassle-free. It was peaceful, well-kept, and just what we were hoping for. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with the outdoors!

Great location and Watkins site

Great, great site in a fantastic location. Easy to get to town, Seneca Lake, the gorge. Hook ups were perfect. Site 1 feels plenty private. Beautiful trees. Nice fire pit as well. Host was welcoming and informative. We will be back.

The best of Hipcamp!

We had a great experience at Kari's. Kari's directions to the campsite were very helpful to avoid the low underpass and I really appreciated the sign when leaving the campsite as a reminder to avoid it. My camper should have fit with a few inches to spare, but why take the risk if you are provided with an alternate route? We had an easy time setting up due to the site being nearly perfectly level and the hookups being easily accessible. Our site was very clean and well maintained, offered a peaceful, relaxing place to stay and I can't wait to go back and explore more of what Watkin's Glen has to offer.

Highly recommend this site!! Backed into our site and ground was so level setting up was a breeze!! Owners introduced themselves and are extremely nice and accommodating!! Will definitely book again!! Super clean and absolutely beautiful!!!

Quiet yet everything still close!

Kari and Jody have set up 3 great full hook up campsites close to all the action but far enough away to enjoy quiet and privacy. They also provided some great local info for places to see and grab a good meal. Easy access to the track, park, waterfalls and wine trail. We rented all 3 as a family trip but the sites have enough space that if you only rent one site it would still be a great place!

The land is absolutely beautiful! Sites are spacious and secluded from one another, but if you’re camping with a group, they aren’t too far away. We went with a group of 3 campers and it worked out well! Within minutes of Watkins Glen Park and the race track. Well worth the money! Jody and Kari made sure we had everything we needed and were ready to answer any questions we had. Would absolutely stay here again!

Kari was a helpful and accommodating host. The campsite was easy to get into, level, and had easy to access and use hookups. It also included a well maintained picnic table and fire pit. Sites 2 and 3 are back into the woods a little bit so they are semi private and provide some nice scenery. Would highly recommend and also return!

Private with attention to detail!

What a find! Wonderfully private with 2 wooded lots ( sites 2&3) and quite level! Having full hookups made it a glamping dream. Jody and Kari were so welcoming and gave us excellent information about the area and things to do too! The racetrack is nearby and you can hear the cars, but it’s not too loud. The cows in the adjacent field add a lovely pastoral touch. We will definitely be back when we return to the Finger Lakes!

Fantastic campsite! Great private location. We stayed on campsite #3 which was the last site at the end of the road. The hooks up were great and easy to set up with. The space was very clean and the ground was fairly level. They had firewood available with a $ donation box. We would definitely recommend it and will likely plan another stay as we love the finger lakes area.

Secluded but close to everything

We found this site on the fly while in the area. We wanted secluded with full hook-ups, which is not always the easiest combo to find, but this site delivered! It was close to Watkins Glen where we did some hiking and paddle boarding and also near to the wineries and breweries we were there for. It was a level site, nestled in the trees and away from people. It had the full hook-ups, nice picnic table and fire ring. Only downside would be certain times of the day you could hear the races going on so it wasn't the quieted, but overall that didn't matter so much since we were out a lot. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend. The hosts were super kind and accommodating as well. Great experience.

Camping near Seneca Lake!

We brought our camper to this campsite to spend the weekend in Watkins Glenn and on Seneca Lake. It was one of our favorite campsites we’ve ever stayed at. It was set back in the woods and very private. Had both water and electric hookup, which is ideal. The campsite was only about a 10 minute drive from Watkins Glenn and in the perfect location to drive to some wineries, hike to beautiful waterfalls and go to the race track. I would highly recommend this campsite.

Kari was an incredibly kind and accommodating host! We were unfortunately very delayed during our travels and didn’t end up getting to the campsite until after midnight for a one night stay. Kari had checked in earlier in the night and asked our ETA as she was out of town, but ensured we could still call her if we needed assistance. Even offered us to stay later the following day as she didn’t have a new reservation coming in. Site was exactly as described, spacious, very clean and easy to find! We will definitely be back when we have more time to spend in the area!

Very nice sites! Super clean, nice gravel driveway and site for camper. We camped at the very end of the trail and there was plenty of room for us to pull up and back in. Highly Recommend! We will be going again!

Hidden Gem in the Finger Lakes

You are situated on top of the mountain, thus when it is 92 degrees in downtown Walkins Glen, it is 86 degrees at the site. The sites are private, and the layout of the land is beautiful and very friendly for walking your dogs. You are 1.5 miles from Watkins Glen racetrack (as the crow flies) which allows you to hear the cars racing which was very cool. You can watch the various car clubs practice on the track for FREE, we went 3 times as it was so enjoyable! You are in close proximity for all you want to explore. If that was not enough, the hosts are simply amazing people whom anyone would be proud to call them a friend. I like to thank them for sharing their amazing property with the rest of America. Nick & Deb (and yes, we are planning to go back)!!!
