Our campground is located along the BattenKill river. We are surrounded by mountains and the majority of our campsites are right along the river. The property has two waterfalls one with a cold hole for swimming or bathing. We cater to tent and RV camping. We offer tent, paddle board kayak rental rentals. We have over 36 acres of river front property. we also have train tracks that run right through the middle. The train tracks have not been operational for a long time so they are good for hiking. You can come by to enjoy camping, hiking, swimming, kayaking, and many more.

Welcome to our picturesque campground nestled along the beautiful Battenkill River! Spanning across 36 acres of pristine land, our campground offers a tranquil and immersive outdoor experience for both tent and RV campers. For hip camp you can choose any available site on arrival or feel free to book through our website As you arrive at our campground, you will be greeted by the soothing sounds of the Battenkill River gently flowing by. The serene ambiance and stunning natural surroundings instantly set the tone for a memorable camping trip. If you're an RV enthusiast, we have you covered as well. Our RV sites are all equipped with electrical. One of the highlights of our campground is our access to the Battenkill River, where adventure awaits! Kayak rentals are available for those seeking a thrilling water excursion. Paddle along the meandering river, taking in the breathtaking scenery as you navigate the gentle rapids and peaceful stretches. For a more tranquil experience, paddleboarding is also an option, allowing you to explore the river at your own pace. Nature enthusiasts will be captivated by the two waterfalls located on our property. Immerse yourself in their beauty as you hike along trails that lead you to these natural wonders. When you're ready to cool off and take a dip, head over to our refreshing swimming hole. The cold, water invites you to take a refreshing plunge on a hot summer day. Whether you prefer swimming or simply relaxing by the water's edge, our swimming hole is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the serenity of nature. Please note that reservations booked through Hip Camp are placed based on what is available in our system. Hip campers are able to choose any sites available upon arrival. During holidays or busy weekends we may have put you in our field camping area if we are fully booked. To guarantee a specific site please message me. Or book through our website.

Riverfront tent and RV site along the Battenkill river with 30Amp hook up, picnic table, fire pit, and wood for sale. We have over 30 sites and you are welcome to choose from anything available upon your arrival. Portable bathroom located near campsite, flush toilet located a short walk away. We have a waterfall and a small swimming hole on the property as well!

The spot was gorgeous and the hosts were friendly. Super quiet, very secluded, even though it was right outside of town.

I booked an overnight trip as a surprise for my husband who loves camping but has not had the time this year. He enjoyed it to the maxxxxx! Friendly staff and camping neighbors. Our dog even jumped in the river. There was a bonfire and an event happening. Everyone made sure we enjoyed ourselves. My husband made a new friend, the campsite neighbor. Their dog was very friendly as well. We got more than enough wood for the night which we gave what we did not use to our new friends before we left. We will be coming back 100%! Maybe make a longer trip out of it. Very family and dog friendly.

Rivers Edge Retreat

This is a camper’s paradise…extended my reservation a couple of days! I began each morning on the bank of the Batten-Kill river, catching up on my reading & watching the wildlife: bald eagles, great blue herons, snowy egrets, beaver & countless songbirds and squirrels. Afternoons were spent splashing in the waterfall, swimming in the “Cold Hole,” kayaking up & down the river, playing with my dog—off leash in field & water areas. In the evenings, we gathered together around large, beautiful fires. As a solo traveler, I absolutely LOVED this social interaction. EVERYONE I met at Rivers Edge is a true treasure- inclusive, genuine, & kind. The campsites have: electric hookups, picnic tables, & fire rings. There are very clean & well-maintained portable restrooms available and free dump stations in nearby towns. I am excited to watch Rivers Edge continue to grow & expand its offerings- already an absolutely amazing place to relax & enjoy life! I really hope my travels bring me back one day. On your way, grab a pizza at Jay’s Pizza in Greenwich. SO GOOD! Lastly, I had no issues driving my 30 ft motorhome down the gravel road to paradise—look for the Rivers Edge Retreat & Campground sign!
