Set on 6 acres along the Enfield Creek and just a short drive from famous naturalist attractions in every direction, our land is shared with our fun-loving host family and guests at other sites. We’re far enough out of town to enjoy peace and quiet, yet close enough to access local culture, nature, and nightlife. Nearby Highlights & Local Adventures 1/2 mi: Dandy Gas & Dollar General (grab basic groceries or snacks) 8 mi: Ithaca Commons – local art, food, culture, and small shops 9 mi: Cornell University Campus 9 mi: Ithaca College Campus ~10 mi: Start of Seneca & Cayuga Lake Wine, Beer, and Spirits Trails 15 mi: Watkins Glen – charming town, world-famous racetrack, gorge trail 25 mi: Greek Peak Mountain Resort – winter snow sports, summer ropes course, indoor water park year-round Parks & Nature 4 mi: Robert H. Treman State Park – our favorite! Lower Treman for a short waterfall walk and swim; Upper Treman for scenic hikes and the historic Old Grist Mill. 7 mi: Taughannock State Park – flat year-round hike ending at a stunning waterfall; swim in the lake afterward. 8 mi: Buttermilk State Park – perfect stop for a hike or waterfall dip; shallow areas for littles. 10 mi: Finger Lakes National Forest – explore wild trails and forests. 9.3 mi: Cayuga Nature Center – wildlife exhibits and a 6-story treehouse!Comfort camping with hot showers, Wi-Fi, and a wood-fired sauna on our 5-acre Finger Lakes homestead. Stay at Our Finger Lakes Sanctuary. Nestled along Enfield Creek and just a short drive from famous waterfalls in every direction, our homestead is alive with laughter, friendly pets, and the rhythms of outdoor life. Comfortable, inviting, and relaxed, you’re invited to join our flow to experience the joys of the Finger Lakes. This is a fun, sometimes social spot where you’ll share the property with our family and other guest sites. This isn’t backcountry seclusion - you may hear neighbors or guests - but if you’re looking for a comfortable home base to explore the waterfalls, gorges, and culture of the region, you’ll feel right at home. Your tent includes: Two queen-sized memory foam beds with fresh linens Private composting toilet shed Hot shower via propane camp shower • Wi-Fi access (cell service can be spotty) • Wood-fired barrel sauna available by 1-hour reservation (waiver required) • One bundle of firewood for your stay (extra bundles available for purchase) • Dishes, utensils, and potable water provided Arrival & Parking • Roadside parking is the standard • Some on-property parking is available down a steep hill (AWD/4WD encouraged, weather permitting) • The campsite is about a 120-yard walk from roadside parking. We’ll meet you between 2–7pm to show you to the site and get you settled Things to Know • Shared Property: You’ll be on our family homestead, alongside other guest sites. Expect a relaxed, social atmosphere rather than total seclusion • Power Access: Portable battery for small devices + shared outlet ~50 ft from tent • Sauna: Reservation and waiver required • Pets: Expect visits from our friendly golden retriever and cats • Noise Note: You may hear neighbors, pets, or occasional projects • Cold-Weather Comfort: Our tent is not heated! We provide cozy blankets and hot water bottles What to Bring To make the most of your stay, pack: • Layered clothing • Food & cooking essentials (cooking spray, coffee, s’mores) • Disposable products as desired (paper plates/utensils/towels, etc.) • Cooler & ice • Towels (bath + hand) • Rain boots / sturdy shoes • Sunscreen & bug spray • Flashlights or headlamps • Portable battery fan
