Haines Falls Retreat Pop-up

Great spot. Great location. I recommend sites 4 and 5. Really close to Kaaterskill Falls and North South Lake. Matthew is a great host and very responsive. I will definitely be back!

Great campsite!!

This was a wonderful campsite! The campsites were nicely spaced away from each other and it felt like we were really in our own space. The camper was really fantastic as it came with two beds and more than enough space to camp outside of we preferred. Matthew was an awesome host and very attentive 😊

The Hideaway- Site 1

Site 1 was secluded, simple, and nice! Matthew responds quickly and the place is well-maintained. Perfect as a last minute stay on a busy weekend. Excellent location, close to major trailheads but you still feel like you have some privacy and you're not in the herat of town.

Excellent campsite, very beautiful and well maintained. The owner Mathew was very nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to hike the katterskill falls area.

Camping in the woods.

Site 4 was freshly mowed and very private. Fortunately no one else was there the night we stayed. After a tour of all the sites I would say 1, 4 and 5 are the best sites. There aren't any amenities at this facility other than a small metal fire pit so I would not recommend unless you are fully self contained. We camped in a slide in truck camper. Fyi the road leading to the sites is very narrow with branches that may touch the side of your rig as it did with ours. Overall we found this to be a good spot for a quick stop and quiet nights sleep.

Comfortable and fun

Haines Falls Retreat RV

We stayed at the RV and it was great. Comfortable, the site was nice, RV was clean, enough space for our group of 12 with an additional tent. We had a few neighbors but enough distance to keep it pretty private.. The night view of the stars was incredible and the nearby hike at Kaaterskills falls.

Beautiful spot had a nice fire pit was very well manicured also a very generous size. If you’re self-sufficient, this is your place. They do have a restroom, but we didn’t need it. Lots of birds around, very quiet at night. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Perfect Camp Site Near Kaaterskill!

Matthew's land is the perfect spot to camp before hiking over at Kaaterskill. Just a 5 min drive from Laurel Hill House. Matt was very friendly and accommodating. The campsite was very well maintained and clearly marked. My dog Azalea and I had a great experience and will definitely be back!

Secluded camping!

This was a perfect secluded spot very close to North South Lake campground and tons of hiking trails. We got to meet Matt in person. Super nice and a gracious host. Great communication and site was just as described. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful time at Haines Falls. It's very conveniently located, close to Tannersville and right down the road from Kaaterskill Falls. Matthew was extremely responsive and accommodating. The property is beautiful, with some views of the surrounding mountains.

Easy self check in. Mostly level grass area to park on. Matt was helpful in delivering us firewood. This is a great spot if Kaaterskill is on your trip as you are within a half mile. It’s a quiet place with lots of wilderness surrounding including all the coyotes and black bears that go along with the area so make sure you don’t leave any garbage out. I would definitely stay again.

Quiet and Private and Easy Access

The sites were clean and spacious. Lack of water is my only complaint for $40, but we knew that going in. This was my first trip to the Catskills (for a cycling trip) and I found this location to be excellent for solitude yet very good access to Tannersville, North South Lake and great riding. I would stay here again.

Matthew was great at communicating especially since we were a day of reservation! The camp area was great. Very quiet and secluded with lots of roam for the dogs to walk around. Will definitely stay again if we find ourselves back in this area!
