Forest Fringe Farm is a lush arts and ecology infused haven tucked into the quiet backwoods of Bethel, New York—an evolving farmstead where wetlands, meadows, and forest edge meet in a living classroom of regeneration. Guests come here for peace, wildlife, big open sky, and the feeling of stepping into an environment that’s cared for with intention.
Our private campsite sits in the second meadow, surrounded by tall grasses, wildflowers, and the gentle hum of pollinators. You’ll have a fire ring, and easy access to our activities deck, a hexagonal platform designed as a communal hangout for morning coffee, yoga, reading, painting, or simply watching the light move across the landscape. From the deck, you can spot deer moving through the tree line, hawks circling overhead, and hear the chorus of frogs and crickets from the nearby wetland.
Forest Fringe Farm is off-grid and proudly low-impact. We use a rainwater catchment system to supply wash water and nourish surrounding plantings, giving guests a glimpse into how small farms manage water in creative, climate-resilient ways. For bathroom needs, we offer a clean, thoughtfully maintained compost toilet—odorless, private, and part of the sustainable systems that keep this ecosystem healthy.
Guests are free to explore the farm’s winding pathways, small orchard zones, and wild edges. Depending on the season, you may see bees drifting through the clover, or the greenhouse undergoing its morning warm-up. Evenings here are perfect for stargazing—the sky opens wide above the meadow, and the sounds of the forest settle into a quiet rhythm.
