This property was formerly a farm with a bakery at the front, along with a house and barn. It spans 3 acres and features an apple orchard at the back beside the Ausable River and a meadow with mountain views. Campers can easily cross the road to dip in the river, and float if desired. It is conveniently located between the High Peaks hiking area, Keene Valley, Keene, and Lake Placid. Campers may stay anywhere within or alongside the orchard. There are views of the house and a neighboring house from the campsite. There is a fire pit near the orchard, and guests will have access to a working bathroom (no shower) in the bakery. Upper Jay is home to the Ice Jam Inn, one of the most popular restaurants in the area, as well as Adirondack Mountain Cafe and the Recovery Lounge, which hosts live shows—all within walking distance of the property. Dogs are allowed, but there is a nearby road and a resident dog on site, so please keep dogs leashed and pick up after them. Please take trash with you when you leave, enjoy and love the place as much as we do. There is firewood for sale down the road out front of the Old Mountain Cafe or on site if we are around.

Site is located at the back of property alongside the orchard (you are welcome to pitch anywhere in the orchard or to the northern side of it facing the meadow. There is a fire pit with some wood available for purchase and additional wood can be purchased at Old Mountain Cafe (on your honor, by the bundle). Park at the front of the property to the north of the bakery and walk back along the fence to the orchard. The Ausable River runs along route 9N and guests are welcome to access the river for a dip, float or fly fishing. There are neighboring houses just behind the orchard and on the property that are in view from the campsite. The driveway is private.

Mountain View Meadow Site

Campsite provided ample space for tents. Fire pit was a nice amenity for dinner/s'mores. Overall it was quiet, clean and had nice scenery.

Mountain View Orchard

Beautiful area to camp. We didn't use the fire pit because it had been raining, but it was available. Loads of lightening bugs putting on a show. The flush toilet bathroom in the old bakery is a rare amenity for a tent site like this
