Robin was really friendly. She greeted us when we arrived and let us pick any site that we wanted.
I went in February with lots of snow so it was kind of a battle getting items to the site due to the slippery hills but my friend and I knew we would have to work harder.
I had a hot tent with wood stove that I really wanted to test out.
She was more then accommodating with our adventure!

The Robin’s Hood clearing we booked was great! It was secluded and surrounded by trees, but close to our car and even Woodbury Commons nearby. We saw a deer once and had no other encounters with wild animals. There were some small trees we used for kindling. The area was perfect for our first time winter camping! Note: if it has just snowed, be prepared for a short walk on uncleared snow from car to site.

Robin is a very responsive host and very understanding :) We booked very last minute and she was so gracious to us! The site is clean and comfortable. A fireplace is convenient. There is a picnic table. We were camping on a very cold night in the winter and hope to return in the spring!

First of all, Robin's place is one of the few that is open during winter and that is great. Forested patch is not huge, but big enough to create a proper vibe. The biggest issue with camp site is it's proximity to a busy road - cars are going for the whole night. Impact of that will depend on a person, but it breaks a spell, somewhat, even for a New Yorker like me, who can sleep along ambulance sirens.

A great lil spot/getaway from the city to reconnect with nature! My pup Pigeon and I were warmly welcomed by both Robin and Shirley and felt safe as can be. After scouring the town for a camping chair (practically heckled out of Home Depot since it’s “off season”..lol) Shirley was kind enough to lend us one that had me cozied up to the fire in no time! Felt at ease throughout the night, albeit some road noise, overall very much enjoyed our little romp. Would recommend!

First time camping with our son and it was perfect. Robin greeted us, led us to our site, and showed us where we could collect firewood. The campsite is small, but lovely and you completely forget there is anyone around you.

We didn't stay long at Robin's since we were only there for a race the next day. But it was the perfect place to sleep and hang out for breakfast. I hope to be back!

Robin was so accommodating, communicative, and kind! She brought us sweet treats (and brought our dog a treat!) after a long day of riding our bikes. The spot was lovely and quiet, and it was easy to get to Bear Mountain and the Heritage Rail trail.

We loved camping on Robin’s land. It feels like a small oasis in the foot hills of Harriman state park. Robin greeted us when we arrived and made sure we knew where everything we needed during our stay was at. There are plenty of hikes and shopping to keep you busy while not at camp. We would definitely stay here again.

Robin is such a lovely host and the campsite was very neat and private with a fireplace. She kindly offered us some wood to start our fire. Just make sure to bring your own camp chair and table. We really enjoyed hanging out by the fire in our hammock and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much Robin!

Robin and her property were both fantastic! Serene, beautiful, and kind to us.
The privacy made us feel like we weren't on anyone's property, it was really special.
There is a little noise from the road but I put in earbuds and white noise and it was fine, but I'm also a light sleeper.
Highly recommend!

I’d highly recommend camping at Robin’s Hood! My partner and I took a bus from nyc to get there and were able to bus to Storm King art Center as well! Robin was a lovely host and showed us the site and firewood upon arrival.

We really loved Robin’s place, she is lovely a host. The place was great, easy access, great space for tents, lots of trees, and quiet. It was close to parks, lakes, hiking trails. Really recommended!!
