Tanya's place was is in a beautiful high desert setting. The rabbit brush was blooming and the sage smelled so good after it sprinkled. We brought a small pull-behind camper and we didn't have any trouble driving the short distance down the dirt road. We could see mountains in the distance from the campsite. We drove to a nice beachy area on the Rio Grande within about 30 minutes. We ejoyed having a campfire and meeting her dogs and goats.

I would highly recommend Tanya’s spot. We had the most relaxing time, we chose Tanya's campsite for the start of our honeymoon, and we’re beyond excited at how beautiful and peaceful it was! We sat and read in the tree hammocks, made an amazing breakfast and could hear the coyotes sing into the night.
It felt very secluded yet safe as we we’re close enough to folks. We loved the goats!!! Big plus 🐐❤️ taos was a short drive and you’re in a great spot to explore.
We fell in love with the place and we will be back.

Tanya has a sweet spot here. Her dog and goats were friendly and entertaining. There is some traffic noise from nearby highway, but not much traffic at night.

My fiancé and I stayed at The Little Goat Outpost for two nights and really enjoyed It! Tanya is super nice and awesome. It’s a great location to Taos and Red River. Our dog loved and had lots of play time with Tanya’s sweet dog, Daisy. Tanya has an awesome setup and I wish we would’ve done some of the activities she offered that were optional!

Quiet & peaceful! Hostess greeted us in the driveway & was friendly. The site offered privacy. There was a great spot for a fire. Great view of the NM skies. Shaded areas. Friendly dog came to say good morning.
Downsides: WiFi & Cell signals weak. But you’re camping! Slight highway noise; didn’t bother us.
Note: Red Chili Line has amazing homemade pie!

The Little Goat Outpost Campsite
Wonderful place to relax and also set out from to explore the surrounding National Forests. We enjoyed talking with the hosts and our kids loved playing with the goats and dogs which were so friendly. Sleeping out under the Milky Way was breathtaking and refreshing!

First time camping through Hipcamp and it was amazing! Tanya was a great host and we loved her doggo Daisy that welcomed us. The goats made our trip and we got to spend some quality time with them. Hope to visit again! Thank you!

Interesting little spot tucked away in New Mexico. This was our first time using hipcamp, and it was a great experience overall. We were able to set up two tents easily as there’s plenty of flat land, and there was a made fire pit and charcoal grill. Thanks for the hospitality Tanya!

Tanya's place is great! Quiet and chill. It is close to some trails and rock formations. Tanya helped us have a nice stay and gave us some travel tips!

This place is truly a gem! Close to santa fe and taos, beautiful camping grounds with cute little details everywhere. The goats and dog were so cute and Tanya was so nice! There is a short dirt road leading from the main highway to the campgrounds, but i have a 2wd and was totally fine. The stars at night were so beautiful, we were even able to see the milky way! Would definitely recommend staying here:)

Tanya is the kind of person who makes everyone, even goats, feel as if they belong. Besides making me coffee and inviting me to join in the adventures planned for the other hipcampers staying in her space, she spoke in such a way to empower me. I learned more about myself and the earth in staying at Tanya's site. There are several amenities that make the experience immaculate. Expect a grill, luggable loo, and several animals. The campsite is shielded by a privacy fence Tanya made using dried weeds from her land. In the morning, as I toasted a bagel shield from a mild wind, I had utmost privacy. However, there are community spaces on the property in which you can meet other hipcampers or simply enjoy being with the community you are traveling with. Pull up a stump and brew a strong cup of coffee, because all are welcome here.

The Little Goat outpost is a great place to stay. Two friends and i made the drive from Spence Springs and we’re amazed by the mountains and views we encountered. We were gonna hammock but on arrival noticed there weren’t that many ideal trees so Tanya offered us her tent! So sweet. The days leading up to our trip had rained so we couldn’t find any dry kindling for the fire — again Tanya came thru with some dry wood and saved the day. I loved her goats and her dog. The only downside is the toilet situation and the camping spots aren’t that private. If neither of these things bother you, this place is great!

Brilliant property, nice little set-up. It requires a little bit of self-suficiency, which is actually ideal. Come here, visit the goats, embrace the paradise that is Northern New Mexico, and relax.
Tanya, the host, will do make sure you’ve got what you need, and then she’ll leave you alone to enjoy your trip.

Had an amazing time! The Little Goat Outpost is a nice secluded area about 30 minutes from all the towns around. The host is very kind along with all her animals! I would definitely visit again!

This is a very nice and peaceful campsite. Tanya is an excellent host and is very friendly. My daughter really enjoyed exploring the property with Tanya's dog Daisy. Daisy is one of the friendliest dogs I've been around and always greeted us every morning with a wagging tail everytime we came out of our tent. We did a sunset hike with Tanya and her 2 goats which was lots of fun. This is a unique experience and shouldn't be missed if you stay at this campsite. My family had a very nice time camping here!

I would give Tanya and her goats 5 stars easily! Loved the property, it’s absolutely beautiful. And Tanya was so helpful and communicative before I arrived — I was camping in my rooftop tent and she had a great, flat spot for me to park on. In the morning, Tanya and I had a really fun chat while Daisy (the adorable dog) and the goats hung around and made us laugh. When I come back through this area next month, I’ll definitely stay again! Thanks Tanya!

Tanya and her pack were not only inviting but they helped me get back into my car when I accidentally locked everything (phone, keys, spare key in purse, purse) in my car. I highly recommend staying here. I felt extremely safe and my dog loved it.

Tanya is by far one of the best hosts I've ever had the pleasure of meeting on any of my trips! Even before we officially met, she was sweet enough to give me detailed recommendations and made sure to answer all of my questions. The property itself is gorgeous and has just the right amount of seclusion. My best friend and I felt completely safe, welcomed, and at home after meeting Tanya and her animals! The two goats are SO much fun and Daisy the dog kept us company until we fell asleep. It really felt like we had rented a dog with our stay -in the best way!! Can't wait to come back for my next stay!

Super cute little farm, Tanya was a great host and so nice to us during our stay. Sunset walks with her, Daisy, and the goats are definitely a great way to end the night. We also decided to go get pizza at the Chili Line Depot up the street and were charmed by the small town diner feel. My partner and I had such a great experience here we're already planning on coming back soon!

Tanya was an amazing host! We had some great conversations around the fire. Overall a nice place to camp with cool trails nearby. John and David (her two lovely goats) are sweet and cuddly. Would highly recommend!
