Raton Pass Camp & Café stands out as a unique destination nestled at the top of Raton Pass, conveniently located off Interstate 25 between Trinidad, Colorado, and Raton, New Mexico. With easy access from both northbound and southbound lanes via Exit 460, our campground is the perfect stop for a restful overnight stay or an extended visit. We offer ideal sites for both RVs and tents at competitive rates. Guests can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Sangres de Cristo Mountains, Bartlett's Mesa, and Raton Valley. Our scenic landscape begins at Savage Canyon, home to diverse flora such as pinion pine, ponderosa pine, and Gamble Oak. Wildlife enthusiasts will appreciate our natural neighbors, including black bears, mountain lions, elk, mule deer, wild turkeys, and hummingbirds. The stunning sunrises and sunsets create unforgettable memories, often accompanied by vibrant rainbows that seem just within reach. A short walk from the campground leads you to the historic crossing of the Mountain Branch of the Santa Fe Trail. Our campground features spacious, level sites that are big rig friendly, complete with true 50 amp electrical service.
