The Desert Farm Casita is such a unique way to experience a night in New Mexico.
As we pulled up to the pink, adobe house we instantly were greeted by the hosts' friendly farm animals. Soon after, Samantha and her husband Kyle, got home from work and could not have been any more welcoming and helpful.
The casita, a separate 1-room guest house, is cozy and perfect for a few night's stay. Inside is a queen bed, clean bathroom, wood stove, and plenty of brochures to get familiar with the surrounding areas. There is also more than enough room on the property to set up tents. Samantha and Kyle provide plenty of firewood to have a fire inside on the casita's wood stove or on the outside fire ring.
The following morning Kyle was nice enough to introduce us to the animals, let us feed them, and give us a rundown of their land. From the 360 degree view of surrounding mountains to the genuine hosts, I could not recommend staying a night at the Desert Farm Casita enough!
