Ten minutes of single-lane dirt roads lead you to your own private 30-acre campground at 7600 feet overlooking the mountain valley. We offer 3 kinds of gigantic secluded pristine sites: A tiny glamping shuttle bus cabin, 2 car/suv/campervan spots, & several remote hike/bike in dispersed camping options. With any choice, you get the whole place and can enjoy a network of bike trails in untouched mature forest, several unique mountain vistas, outdoor shower and toilet, extra optional amenities, active wildlife, and unmatched peacefulness and quiet. The whole 'campground' is all yours! - Because we don't want crowds and we only accept 1 reservation (up to 6 guests as a single party) at any given time. Super private wooded surroundings with mountain views. Our home is only slightly visible from 2 sites. We can be social hosts, or leave you completely undisturbed. Quiet hours after 9pm either way. Access to Toilet, outdoor heated shower, small gas burner or wood-fired grill are included with any confirmed reservation. Guests may opt additional $ for many extras including firewood by the bundle, Potable Water in 5 gallon jugs, Camping equipment rental, and small use of Laundry (by appointment - water supply permitting) . Pets are welcomed and can be allowed off leash here but should not roam without supervision because we do have coyotes and pets can get lost.

18 acre remote hike-in / bike in tent camping site has great privacy and a spectacular view. Enjoy a short hike or ride on our vast network of trails and enjoy an outdoor shower house and compost toilet, Wildlife regularly frequent this area including elk, coyotes, mountain lions, hares, deer, and forest life. Our house cannot be seen from this site. No vehicles allowed at the actual site so parking is accessible via a short walk to this site.

We only book 1 site at a time, so you'll have this mountain view campsite all to yourself with private dedicated dirt access road that has its own main road access. Take in incredible views of the Mangas and Allegra mountains, gaze at 25-mile vistas and limitless skies while you hear the coyotes at night. Toilet and access to outdoor shower is included. Decent cell signal but no wi-fi at this site. Camper Vans, SUVs and similar high-clearance vehicles are permitted on this site via your own private drive not connected to our home or driveway. Guests may also park in our driveway and short-hike it in if your vehicle isn't suited for driving off road.

"Gus The Bus" Mountain Glamping

This 12-acre incredibly unique site has its own mountain view and dedicated forest trails. It easily accommodates your Camper Van, Car, Tent or small RV - and includes our tiny 2 person glamping cabin that is a converted Shuttle Bus. This drive-onto site has spectacular views and rests on its own 12 acre spot on the property with access to toilet and outdoor shower included. Our tiny home shuttle bus has huge windows facing the mountains and provides cozy accommodations including sink, fridge, microwave, gas burner, wood stove, ceiling fan, solar power, full privacy blinds, a porch and outdoor fire pit for two. Our bus is best suited for guests below 5'-10" as the bed has only a full size mattress but is probably too short for taller folks who don't want to sleep at an angle. There is free wi-fi included with this site and cell service works sporadically, too. If you want to park your car, small rv, or campervan at this site, we can offer 15-amp shore power, Water rations of 5 gallons per day, and wi-fi are available. There are also good spots to pitch a tent here, or rent our 12 foot screen tent if you like. We offer year-round booking to hardcore hipcampers, provided you are OK using the free tiny wood stove or utilize propane heat for a small fee per bottle and possibly resort to water jugs instead of sink plumbing : ) During inclement weather, 4x4 or AWD is recommended though front-wheel drive will probably be ok. Pets are allowed and encouraged, but must be kept inside after dark due to predators or getting lost in the vast forest.

"Gus The Bus" Mountain Glamping
Ben and Danielle have a beautiful property and they are incredible hosts. This was our first time using HipCamp and it couldn’t have been a better experience. We were looking for something remote and private, and we wanted our dogs to be able to be off leash. We are very accustomed to camping with zero amenities, so this was very much “Glamping” for us. The outdoor shower with HOT water and the composting toilet were so nice to be able to use. The shuttle bus was clean, comfortable and full of amenities we aren’t used to having. That little wood burning stove puts out plenty of heat!

This is a beautiful, private site! Ben and Danielle are very friendly and helpful. This is a little detail, but I appreciated that they have a sink set up with the composting toilet for hand-washing. They had the chiminea prepared for a fire when I arrived.

"Gus The Bus" Mountain Glamping
Danielle and Ben are as beautiful as their land! They were kind and generous hosts that take great care to insure that guests walk away loving the land and experience as much as they do. We stayed in the Camper bus that was cozy and warm. We had everything we needed in the bus: comfy bed, fridge, sink, cutest wood stove ever, toilet, table and bench. Perfect for the 2 of us! Lounge chairs outside and a chimneria with firewood to enjoy at night. They also had an outdoor toilet/shower area that we used too.
