Utterly gorgeous Elk camp snuggled into a completely private area near all the wonder of Santa Fe National Forest. Dave communicates clearly and quickly. I still got lost but it was totally my own confusion powered by Google maps. Google does NOT have the correct map of this area. Rely on Dave's words. Don't even turn on Google navigator. Do what Dave says in his email. It's that simple. The only dead end you should drive down is Jicarilla. End of story. The road sign on Acoma is twisted. Stay Left when you see it and the 4th R will be Jicarilla. I felt truly lucky to share in what he has cultivated out in the wild. Precious land. Got up super early to look for elk. I know they're there bc we found fresh tracks!!! Until next time...

Hide Out Ranch
We had a good time at Hide Out Ranch. Goggle Maps will steer you wrong when driving in. When coming from 96, take a right on Bear Paw and follow all the way to the Hide Out. We were the only ones at the lake the day we went. It was great to have electricity and water at the Hide Out. Dave was responsive and helpful!

Hide Out Ranch
We had the best time at "Hide Out Ranch" for Memorial Day Weekend! The spot was level with plenty of room to fully extend the awning. The ranch was quiet and peaceful for the ultimate relaxation get-a-way. Verizon cell phone worked great! Dave told us to sit near the water trough in the evening and we might see deer and/or Elk. You have to be very patient and quiet. So happy I got to see a deer come for a drink of water! The views of the the mountain were great! It was a little tight getting onto the property with our 29' Imagine but well worth the effort! We will definitely return for another visit in the near future! Thank you Dave for sharing Hide Out Ranch with us! We had the best time ever!

This is a great- remote spot! Do not use google maps to find it. Get details before you arrive! If no signal, you will need to know specific directions to find it! I suggest arriving before dark. Lol It offers great views! Quiet & Travis (nearby neighbor was awesome help)

Dave was very accommodating and quickly responded to questions. The best thing about the ranch was sitting on a porch on the property and enjoying the forest and mountains views. Watching the birds and other wildlife was a bonus. Perfect place to get away from it all. Quiet and peaceful.
