Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

This gem of a spot is in the heart of the Comstock and perfectly placed at less than 5 miles from Virginia City and 45 minutes to Lake Tahoe.Campsite East is a flat space on the edge of a shallow ravine in the Virginia Range, perfect for stargazing, quiet contemplation and gathering with friends. Guest will enjoy a level pad at the east end of the property with undeveloped land to the north, south, and east. A chicken coop that is home to a rooster and his hens is approximately 200 feet to the west. Campsite is approximately 50 feet from the dirt road that serves the area with very minimal traffic. Wild horses, deer and coyotes are regular visitors to the area, with mountain lions and bears known to occasionally make an appearance. A rough, wooden table with 4 chairs are on site. Kindly keep all pets on leashes for their safety and the safety of local wildlife. Please pack out what you pack in and leave no trace. No trash service or toilet provided. No hook ups or water onsite, but host will provide campers with guidance to a local potable water source. This is a high risk area for wildfires, so please, no fire pits, no open flames. Driveway is off of HWY 341, home to the world famous Virginia City Hillclimb. The entrance is a steep uphill and a hard right turn if traveling north on HWY 341 towards Virginia City; it can be a difficult approach and requires a wide turn. 4 wheel drive is recommended.

I had a great time at Noel’s! Got to see some wild horses roaming the area while we had lunch one of the days. Weather was perfect land was flat for our rigs!
