PLEASE read all of the details before booking so you book the site that works best for you and also so you understand where you are staying. You will receive messages from us after booking and before your arrival, so please check your Hipcamp inbox. The RV spaces are behind the Baker Fuel and RV gas station. All sites are back-in only and have full hook-ups: 30amp and 50 amp electricity, sewer and water. There is a public bathroom, shower and laundry facility next to the sites. RV Site 5 is closest to the bathroom and RV Site 1 is furthest away. This camping part of the property offers five primitive campsites, situated in a natural, secluded area that was once a pond. Conveniently just south of the only gas station in town and behind the Great Basin Basecamp Airbnb, the sites are close to the highway but sit lower in elevation, providing privacy and shielding them from the road. Guests have access to a small building with clean restrooms, showers and one set of coin-operated laundry facilities for added convenience. Campsite #6 is closest to the restrooms, #10 is the furthest. No campfires as our fire danger is very high most of the year. There are water spigots at Site #6, between #7 and #8 and Site #10. The Lehman Caves Visitor Center at Great Basin National Park is about 5 miles up the road on Highway 488.

These are primitive campsites. Site 8 is in the middle, third from the restroom building. There is a tent space and space for a vehicle, small RVs, travel trailers, etc. There’s about 25 feet of room for the vehicle and RV. Guests have access to the building with restrooms and showers and there is water available by the site and behind the building at the gas station. If you’re tent camping, you may want to bring sturdy stakes to drive into the compacted gravel, depending on where you choose to place the tent. There is a picnic table at the site. These are primitive campsites. Site 10 is furthest from from the restroom building and last on the end on the right. There is space for a vehicle and a tent. Guests have access to the building with restrooms and showers and there is water available at the site and behind the building at the gas station. The driveway in this site cannot accommodate a large RV but a camper van and smaller RV can back in and stay on the road above and you would be fine. No one needs to get by and the road ends at this site. If you’re tent camping, you may want to bring sturdy stakes to drive into the compacted gravel, depending on where you choose to place the tent. There is a picnic table at the site. No campfires, or open flames of any kind, are permitted. If you’re traveling as a family and have more than 4 people, that is not a problem.

These are primitive campsites. Site 6 is the closest to the restroom building. There is a tent space and space for a vehicle, small RVs, travel trailers, etc. There’s about 25 feet of room for the vehicle and RV. We’ve been told by guests that it was difficult to fit larger trailers along with their truck, so be aware. Guests have access to the building with restrooms and showers and there is water available next to the site and behind the building at the gas station. There is a picnic table at the site. No campfires, or open flames of any kind, are permitted. If you’re tent camping, you may want to bring sturdy stakes to drive into the compacted gravel, depending on where you choose to place the tent.

Although this campground is connected to a gas station, it was absolutely spotless, had new/perfectly situated utilities, and amazing views all within 5 minutes of Great Basin National Park. Would highly recommend this campground to anyone visiting Great Basin.

The reservation and check in process was perfect for us. The site was gravel and level with full hookups. There was a nice concrete pad and nice picnic table. The property was very clean and tidy with new landscaping. Although there was only one washer and dryer, the machines worked well and it only took one cycle to get everything dry. The restrooms were clean and the shower had good water pressure and hot water. We would definitely stay again if passing through.

Different type of campground but it has every thing you need! Electricity, water at site, clean private bathroom/shower, picnic table. There is also a small motel with 3 rooms and a tent campground. It even has a gas station.

We rented one of 5 campsites for 4 nights. They are obviously newly made, with brand new picnic tables and amenities such as showers, which are big and clean. Even tough it's behind the gas station, it's a bit remote from it, and below the road, so it's pretty private and quiet, and there are not a lot of vehicules. Only problem was the damn weather, there were huge thunderstorms each night, coming from the mountains, which seems to be very common in the summer, and also crazy winds, which put down our tent. I would recommend camping here in a van, or with a very sturdy tent, or else rent one of the 3 small rooms they have instead.

For our first RV/camper experience, we coulsnt have picked a better, user-friendly space. Great site that was very neat and tidy. The on-site bathrooms were a bonus and overall, we enjoyed having our little basecamp as we added Great Basin NP to our passport book.

We had a fantastic stay. The site was easy to get into with our 30’ 5th wheel. Bathrooms clean. Site well maintained. Communication from the host was AMAZING. Despite being behind the fuel station, it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. We’d absolutely stay again. Just a short drive to Great Basin NP. A little bummed the night skies were cloudy, but that’s monsoon season. So glad for the rain. We loved watching the storms roll in. This little rv park gives you a great vantage point to see them. Bring quarters if you need to do laundry!

The grounds are well kept, bathrooms and showers are clean, and it was just a quiet, peaceful place to stop for a couple days! We stayed in an RV and although we have a shower in it, it was nice to have showers on site that were a little larger and gave us a little more room. We also were thankful for the laundry facility. We are on a 15 day road trip and it was nice to be able to do a load of laundry (just make sure you bring quarters, $1.50 to was & $1.50 to dry)

We really enjoyed our stay. The bathhouse was always stocked and very clean. The laundry room was clean and well priced. The adorandack chairs and picnic table area was a welcome addition. I was concerned about being right on the "main" road but the rv spots are tucked back and we almost never heard any cars or gas station patrons. Would recommend and definitely stay again.

Easy set up, level stone parking lot. It had accommodating laundry, showers, and bathrooms. Very close access to Great Basin National Park. It’s technically the “back yard” of the gas pumps, but that traffic wasn’t an issue. We would stay again when back at that park. Host did reply immediately to a question which was helpful.

This was our first Hipcamp experience and we were a bit skeptical about an unmanned campground in a gravel parking lot behind an unmanned gas station that shared the bathhouse with the gas station, a 3-room motel, 5 tent sites, and the general public. But it was awesome. Sites were level, clean, and had excellent views in multiple directions. The bathrooms were very nice, well-maintained and consistently clean. Laundry room prices were reasonable. It was very close to Great Basin National Park. And I got some awesome dark sky shots of the Milky Way plus telescope captures of a galaxy far, far away from the tent camping area and the ridge above it (which also had perfectly positioned Adirondack chairs to observe Wheeler Peak and ponder the wonders of the universe). The sites will only improve as the newly planted trees grow and provide some shade.

This is a bare bones campsite. A place to park, set up your tent and it has a picnic table. That's it. I wasn't expecting more so I wasn't disappointed. And it works great if you are just planning on crashing their for the night. But as far as spending any time in camp, I would not recommend it. The bathroom and showers were clean and in good working condition. A+ for that. The big lighted sign is a definitely a nuisance. Both for trying to get to sleep and for stargazing. It is "Dark Sky" country and that sign needs to go.

Campground was exactly what I needed. Close access to Great Basin NP, utilities, nice clean bathrooms. Host communicated well and was very accommodating! Just a word of warning if you are looking for pure darkness, the gas station lights stay on so the star viewing may be better done from the park. But I would absolutely stay here again.

Small campground with only 5 sites, but well situated to Great Basin NP. Flat sites with a concrete pad for the picnic table and to sit out in chairs. Ants were pretty bad, so bring some spray to keep them at bay. It's a bit noisy as it's the only fuel station in the area. We were disappointed that we didn't get to see the stars like we wanted, as the full moon foiled us one night and clouds the next. The drive up to Mt. Wheeler is a must. The views are awesome. But the campground was fine with 5 spots, there's also 3 small rooms to rent (like a motel). Restroom and showers were also available, although we did not use them.
