This property is a rural oasis. Located just ten miles from Ennis and two miles from the Madison river, this is the perfect camp spot to call home for day hiking, biking and fishing adventures. The spot is flat with grass for a tent or large enough to pull in a camper. It’s in a rural neighborhood surrounded by mostly residents and some vacation rentals. The views are endless. You have access to a spring red creek for fishing, swimming and relaxing. There is no potable water available.The camping is located next to a quintessential Montana Barn. . You can walk down to the creek but we’d like the camping to occur up above it. The location is flat and beautiful. The creek is spring fed so it flows crystal clear all year round. It’s a great place for a dip or some fishing. You'll find rainbow and brown trout! It’s a great base camp for adventures on the Madison river, day trips to Yellowstone or exploring the thousands of acres of public land nearby. There’s abundant wildlife including deer, moose and pronghorn antelope.

Beautiful mountain views. It’s a ways out of town, so get your groceries before heading to this site. The neighbors were very nice.

Caroline's Hipcamp was just what we were looking for. It's in a beautiful area with farms all around, yet it feels privat enough as well. The area next to the barn is large and flat. We really enjoyed our time here.

This was a perfect spot close enough to Virginia City, but far enough out to enjoy some peace and quiet! Also only 1 1/2 hours for Yellowstone! Perfect set up for tent camping! We really enjoyed this location!

HOLY CRAP THIS PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL AND PEACEFUL!! Clean, fresh air; 2 water pumps; flat level surface; electric plug in for heat as the nights are cold now but days still 70-80 degrees; quiet; UNBEATABLE VIEWS; soothing sounds of the wind and creek just down the hill; nice area to walk around as folks are friendly; can see animals on the hills; etc. What else do you need? No toilet or water hook up but bucket baths work just as well. I didn’t want to leave. I had Verizon & AT&T service although you had to find the correct spot for it not to drop but able to work remotely here for 3 days!

Even though the space is very open , the property is located in a quiet neighborhood without a lot of traffic so although it doesn't really feel like camping, you definitely have privacy. Felt secluded from the general public, yet we were 10 minutes to the Madison River, 20 minutes to Ennis, and 30 minutes to Virginia City. While the creek was appealing in the photos, we didn't get to explore it much as it wasn't clear how best to access and we didn't want to accidentally trespass on private property. You can really understand why they owners decided to invest in this property. It's got great (almost 360) views and there is an obvious sense of pride in ownership. We were thankful for the guarantee of a place to be able to land for a quick little getaway for our little family.

Such a beautiful space! No stress, amazing star watching and fantastic location for adventures. My kids loved running around the huge lawn and visiting the neighbors horses. The views are incredible!
