The host did a great job of communicating clearly where to go to get to the site. The Quarry is a great place if you want to camp in the woods with no amenities and to rough it, which is what I was looking for. I really enjoyed my stay as it was exactly what I wanted.

We loved camping in Erica’s quarry! The views were beautiful and there was a state park 10 minutes away for even more beautiful views of the Mississippi River. Even with a couple other groups on the property, it was quiet and secluded in our little corner. The end of the drive was marked with a camping symbol and the instructions provided were clear. Would absolutely come back.

We loved camping at this location. The views from the outlook and from driving around the area are amazing. The camping was great and the host was attentive to all texts. We will definitely come back again.

I was arriving at night, and Erica was super responsive and gave me great directions on how to find my site. Awesome spot with the quarry cliffs and view over the Mississippi! Sites feel spread out enough.

Fantastic place to see! Very quiet and well laid out area. Directions were very easy and host was very accommodating. Stars were beautiful at night. Couldn’t ask for a better place! Highly recommended if you’re coming through the area!

The campsite is beautiful and very well maintained. I got the last minute reservation at the Rocky road by the floor of the bluffs. Communication with Erica was a breeze. She explained everything from directions to view point trail.

It was as described in the listing. The porta potty was very clean when we arrived. There was plenty of space between the sites for privacy. One thing that I was hoping for that didn't happen was to sit on the bench swing at the top of the Bluff with the Beautiful view, because it was broken. Erica did inform me that it was not yet fixed when we arrived. Also I think some should be aware that there is a steep gravel road that heads to the Quarry site. We did have to use 4 wheel drive to get there. Other than that it was great. I would recommend.

Quarry in the Mississippi Bluff
If you're looking for a secluded and private spot to set up, this is it. I was in La Crosse for a work conference and wanted a quiet camp instead of booking a busy conference hotel. The Quarry is only 15 minutes from La Crosse and we enjoyed relaxed nights by the camp fire with nobody nearby, no road noise, and nothing but the owls and crickets. We unfortunately never crossed paths with Erica, being busy and away during the day, but her communication and care was very present.
Funny side note, my partner's father knew exactly where we were staying, having grown up in the area in the 60s. I'm sure it's under much better hands now!

Very private and quiet sites. This was our first Hipcamp experience. We enjoyed hiking at a nearby state park and took a day to explore Winona, both within a twenty minute drive. It’s a beautiful area and we cannot wait to come back!

Erica was a very friendly, accommodating, and communicative host. Our camping spot was easy to find, private, and absolutely gorgeous! I’d love to come back again. The porta potty was nearby, and very clean. We had plenty of space for 3 motorcycles and 2 tents, with the provided picnic table and fire pit. It was so peaceful to see the stars at night and wonderful to really feel like you’re actually away from it all, just you and nature.

Can’t say enough good things about the site on top of the bluff. We lucked out and got to see fireworks across the river from a festival that was going on. Totally private, easy access, spacious, happy camping! Bring your bug spray.

I camped here with my partner and our dog and we had a blast! This area is one of the prettiest in Minnesota, and the setup in this quarry is comfortable and cute, a great basecamp!

A quick camp night on a beautiful site, close to our destination in LaCrosse. I loved that the dogs could be off leash to run and stretch out. We arrived close to dark, but Erica's directions were easy to follow and find the site. I only wish we had had a little more time to stay and enjoy.

The site was private and perfect: wildflowers, views, birds and trees. With proximity to LaCrosse, WI, hiking, vineyards and orchards, this is a great place to camp for a weekend getaway.

The campsite was great. It has a few other campsites close by so it’s not 100% private but me and my friends thought it was private enough regardless. There is a short walk up to the scenic area where there is a swing to sit on. I would recommend bringing some chairs of your own as well up there to watch the sunset. The directions given to us where clear and precise so we had no trouble getting there.

An amazing campground! A small, nice walk up to a cliff, there waiting was a nice wooden swing with a Scenic view overlooking the sunset! We got there at a perfect time! Thank you Erica! This was our first pinned Hipcamp on our google maps as we set out to travel the States with the mission to inspire and empower foster care youth and the communities. We really needed this stop to really have a peacefully surrounding with an amazing vibe and to become grounded once more. Most definitely worth the experience!

Erica was extremely responsive. The site was perfect, with a drive-through spot (as we have yet to perfect the back-up in our teardrop). It’s private, quiet, and has views that can’t be beat. Also the porta-potty was THE cleanest I have ever seen! We can’t wait to return!

What a sweet little find and is exactly that, a quarry! It’s quiet, secluded and the sites are very private with easy access off the main road. The views overlooking the Mississippi are fantastic and the short walk to the scenic view is so worth it. Erica’s communication throughout our booking and stay were great and she was very accommodating. We will definitely be back!

My family and I had an amazing time. We watched a lightning storm from atop the quarry bluff. It was an experience well always remember. The sites were private and the porto potty and firewood for sale were convenient. The kids loved the trampoline and dog loved exploring the trails. Easy and cordial communication with Erica.

Big fan! Strongly recommend. Booked kind of late at the last minute and the host was super responsive and helpful. The property was amazing and easy to navigate with clear signage throughout. Big private site surrounded by beautiful nature and incredible views. 10/10!

Awesome gem not far from La Crosse or Winona. Very accommodating site and host. Nice little hike for a good view. Firewood available for $5. Great place to camp!

This is an unusual site in an old quarry. The night we spent there was very hot (high 90s) but the elevation and wind kept us from being too uncomfortable in our pickup truck sleep arrangement.
It was very private with lovely trees, and a sense of safety with the surrounding bluffs. Highly recommended.
