Northern Nights Campground Our Higgins Lake Michigan Northern Nights Campground is located about a mile east of Higgins Lake, the 6th most beautiful lake in the world, and about 12 miles northeast of Houghton Lake— Michigan's largest inland lake! Some of the best outdoor activities are offered in this area. Relax and unwind while boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, golfing, jet skiing, swimming, birding, paddle boarding, ORV...and so much more! Northern Nights Campground is clean and well-maintained, including seasonal and non-seasonal (short-stay) sites. We are open year around and open for the “summer season” from the first weekend in May through the first weekend in October. Amenities Full hookup (FHU) sites with and without cement pad/deck Water & Electric sites (most with 20/30/50 Amp) Showers Tent sites WIFI Kayak and Paddle Board Rentals Golf Cart Rentals Picnic tables Fire rings ORV’s welcome Covered pavilion 30 Acres of mature oak and pine trees Clean restrooms Large shaded sites Dump station Pump-out service Firewood & Ice available for purchase Boat and R.V. storage Pets allowed* Year Round Camping *Two dogs only per campsite. Dogs must be on leash, not left alone to bark & cleaned up after. If not you will be asked to leave, with no refund.
