Such an incredible spot! The owners used their tractor to haul my stuff over to the entrance of my campsite! Very grateful for how friendly and flexible they were! They had a fire going for me when I arrived so I wouldn’t have to set it up in the dark. Loved the location and setup!

We had such a wonderful three-night stay! The hosts were absolutely exceptional—so welcoming and kind that by the time we left, it felt like we were saying goodbye to friends. They went above and beyond, even providing toys and activities for our 15-month-old, which made the trip extra special for her. The amenities were fantastic, from the well-equipped outdoor kitchen to their thoughtful help with a few things we had forgotten to pack. The campsite itself was private and beautifully maintained, with peaceful trails to walk and explore right from our spot. Our toddler loved playing with the fun animals on the property and had the best time, and honestly, so did we. This was such a memorable trip, and we’re so grateful to have found such amazing hosts!

We loved Anne's place! Everything is so thoughtfully planned and laid out, and there's plenty of fun stuff (and space) to keep kids busy. We slept well in the peace and quiet and enjoyed some great campfires. Anne is a truly amazing host and we look forward to returning!

This is the first time that be used hip camp and I couldn’t be more happy with the location and hospitality that I received when I met Anne. She was such a gracious host and so willing to make our stay a comfortable and memorable experience. Anne started off by giving us a tour of grounds and introduced us to her wonderful dogs and friendly free roaming chickens….right then the ambiance was set for a relaxing stay. Although we didn’t use the outdoor kitchen it was such a lovely amenity and I am very much looking forward to using it on our next visit.

We loved camping at The Meadow!! The space we had was the perfect distance away from other groups. Anne answered any questions we had almost immediately. We will definitely be coming back!!

Anne was so friendly and welcoming to her property! The spot itself was very large and felt very private, even though the house with shared kitchen, outdoor shower, and portapotty was within easy walking distance! The shared outdoor kitchen and slower were very well stocked. When we arrived Anne had already had some firewood at the campsite and an empty trash bin was provided. Very well thought out! We loved our stay!

What an incredible property and host! The site was well maintained and secluded from the other sites. There is a “common area” with the kitchen, table and chairs, and the shower close by. Everything you need for cooking up a meal is provide. The outdoor shower is to die for! The free range animals were so cool and my favorite part of this experience. There is a cute coffee shop and bookstore that is 10 minutes away in Buchanan, MI. The only thing I wasn’t expecting was that our car was not parked near our campsite. Expect to park at the front of the property and then Anne or Jonathan will trailer your camping gear and bags back to your site for you. This wasn’t a big deal at all for us, but if you are expecting your car to be next to your site to air up a mattress or something, it may just throw off your plans. I would 100% book with Anne again. Also she was so sweet to talk to and gave us fresh eggs from her chickens!

We highly enjoyed our stay here! The hosts were so welcoming, kind, and accommodating going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Besides for noise from other campers, it was very private. The campsite was a beautiful wooded area. This was in close enough proximity to New Buffalo we were able to go out and about during day and spend the night here. Would definitely recommend.

Campsite was as described and had lots of privacy out in the woods. Anne hauled our gear out to the site with her mower trailer which was really helpful! While site 1 is a ways from the outhouse, let me tell you, that is the cleanest nicest smelling porta potty I’ve ever encountered! We forgot bug spray but thankfully Anne had some to share. :) Enjoyed dinner at Mccollum’s (those Brussels sprouts are fire!) in nearby Buchanan. Would recommend Gypsy Camp for sure.

We loved tent camping on Anne’s land! She was a great host and her property was beautiful. The site is a little ways from where you park and Anne was kind enough to transport all of our things from our car back to the site on her little trailer. We will definitely visit again!

The BEST camping! Amazing Hosts!

I really can't say enough good things about this camp site and especially about Annie and Jonathan. We found this absolute GEM when all other campsites at Warren Dunes were reserved. The biggest problem was getting the kids to leave here to go to the beach at Warren Dunes for the day! They have a playset area and power wheels that the kids could not get enough of cruising them around the property. We ran into problem after problem on our trip. First, one of our two vehicles developed a problem on the trip there. I was able to fix this and Jonathan was happy to letting me use his tools freely to fix the issue so we could drive safely home. I lost my OBD reader in the process and they have been going above and beyond to try and find it. There was a thunderstorm the first night we camped and one of our tents leaked. The first thing in the morning Annie offered their personal washer and dryer to wash and dry a bag of clothes that got soaked. Jonathan brought out amazing coffee every morning in their awesome outdoor kitchen. The outdoor shower was nothing short of spectacular. I don't think I have ever experienced an outdoor shower before and I would imagine this one spoiled us as to what a standard outdoor shower would consist of. The porta potty was in better shape and smelled better than any gas station restroom I have ever used. When I hear the phrase Glamping, these campsites are exactly what I imagine. We could not be more grateful for the best camping experience!

What a wonderful place to stay! Annie was so lovely and has done an amazing job with the property. The outdoor kitchen is equal in utility and charm. The outdoor shower is amazing, watch birds while you shower! The chickens are so fun to watch run around and the pig was a delight. I’ve never seen more lightening bugs, it was like the meadow and wooded area had twinkle lights. Nice firepit to gather around. Highly recommend!

A magical stay!

Anne was a super amazing host! We stayed at the meadow and want to come back to one of the forest sites. Her property was so well maintained and because of this there were so many fireflies! It was a magical weekend and the outdoor kitchen came in handy. We appreciated the roaming pets, the site was easy to get to and it had everything we needed. The area was close to the water and not far from a lot of cute food places and antique shops. Definitely a hidden gem and we can’t wait to come back!

We had the best time at Gypsy camp! Anne & family were incredibly generous hosts and went above & beyond sharing their lovely property with us. Highlights were the amazing outdoor shower and the magical firefly show in the trees surrounding our tent at night. Hope to come back someday - 10/10 recommend!

We had a great time tent camping on Annie’s land!! She was super responsive, and friendly along with the rest of the other guest visiting the property. The camp site was perfect for 3 tents. Great weekend spot to get away. Will definitely consider staying again!

Annie and Jonathan were the kindest hosts (LGBTQ friendly 💗) with an amazing property! The site is extremely private and tucked back in the woods, the hosts were amazing and hauled our equipment on their tractor to and from the site. The bathroom is a short walk away from the site and was very clean. Highlight of the trip was the mini pig Kevin Bacon, Pearl the puppy, and Chicky Minaj the chicken. We will absolutely be back for camping again!

Spacious, private, and beautiful

We stayed in the Meadow and had the BEST time! Our group of 9 had 4 tents and 4 vehicles but we still had plenty of space to spread out, set up a volleyball net, extra tables and a sun shade. The property is quite large with lots of wildlife and trees around! While staying, we saw deer, bunnies, Sandhill cranes and owls. Anne also has some free range chickens and dogs that were very friendly. She even gave us some fresh eggs to make for breakfast! Although we didn’t get a chance to use it, there was an outdoor shower installed and available to us which was very nice. Same with the communal outdoor kitchen which came in handy a few times. We also really appreciated the free firewood provided to us! This camping trip was far better than any we’ve had at campgrounds, we will definitely be visiting again! The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating. Highly recommend!!
