The potential for a great campground is there. It’s still being created, and full hook ups were appreciated, as well as being close to Marquette.
I booked Site 8. No one was in the office, so I had to self-check in. That was fine until reaching our site, which was occupied. It took two calls to reach the manager to find out what to do. He said their reservation system was messed up and they don’t normally reserve sites, and to pull into any empty one. I explained that I have a small motorhome with no toad, so would be and out during our three- night stay. How could I be sure our site would still be there? His answer was vague. Nope - our space was occupied when we returned - at least they did not take our hoses. Finding another, gravel, level site was impossible, so we settled on a grassy site and had to wiggle around quite a bit to get level. Several different campers told me similar stories and said issues were common. Apparently anyone can drive in and trap a spot. Not impressed the way it is now
