The farm is located in picturesque rolling hills of Maryland. We've had many requests for photo shoots and weddings... it's that amazing! The farmhouse used to be the local post office (many years ago). Mother Earth Organic Farm is the epitome of getting away. Camp with your tent, RV, schoolie, truck camper, or hammock tent on this marvelous organic farm with scenic pasture and mountain views. Bring your telescope or add ours as an extra. The night sky view is amazing! The Milky way is visible on clear nights. You may see farm animals including goats, chickens and cows during your stay. In addition, Mother Earth Organic Farm has a plethora of wildlife including hummingbirds, bald eagles, white egrets, turtles, bears, and foxes. There are walking trails on the farm and a 1/3 acre pond. The Appalachian Trail (AT) is about a mile down the road (access point with ample parking). There are many parks nearby including Gambrill State Park, Cunningham Falls State Park (longest cascading waterfall in Maryland) and many others.

Check-in before dark sunset. Pitch your tent on our organic farm. The site is private 3 acres of fields, woods and stream that you can play, relax and explore on our 17 acre farm. Enjoy nature at its best on our small farm far away from roads and city life. The campsite is the epitome of 'getting away.' Cell service is spotty at best. You're welcome to use our open WIFI to surf the net and make WIFI calls outside of the greenhouse. Campsite Amenities: The campsite has a gravel enclosed fire ring, picnic table, charcoal grill, composting toilet (with toilet paper), and solar outdoor shower (available upon request).  Parking: If you have a vehicle that can drive on the grass (our all-terrain Prius does well), you're welcome to park near the campsite (about 50 feet away, uphill). Otherwise, you can park by the road and walk a few minutes (about 1/4 mile) to your site. Local Attractions: The Farm - You can arrange a group walking farm tour. The tour will include information about organic integrative pest management, our solar powered chicken coop, the greenhouse, tiny house construction, the farm's history, and much more. Catoctin Scenic Route - We are located on the scenic route. This is a drivable route (and popular among cyclists!) with many scenic views, including our farm! Hiking- We are about 1 mile from an Appalachian Trail access point (on the same road) with ample parking. Greenbrier State Park has wonderful hiking, lake and a sandy beach. Annapolis Rock & Black Rock Cliff Trailhead has amazing views. Thurston Griggs Trail connects to Annapolis Rock and is about a 1-2 hour hike, depending on your pace. South Mountain State Park has well maintained hiking trails. Gambrill State Park has 16 miles of hiking. The list goes on! Horseback riding - there are local farms that provide lessons. Small Town Life: Smithsburg is the closes town (about 7 mins drive). Here you can pick up pizza, visit Veterans Park and the local library, and have a drink at the local dive bar. Small City Life: Downtown Frederick has a small town feel wrapped in an urban environment. It's cute and quaint. Visit Carol Creek for an urban park walk where you can stop for ice cream or a glass of wine. Frederick also has a plethora of craft breweries to choose from. There's a pub crawl tour to explore if you're interested. There are many restaurants to choose from as well. Supplies: The closest convenience store is Harne's and is a 3 min drive. The closest grocery store is Martin's Food in Smithsburg (8 min drive). There are many local farms with farm stands in the area. We can provide you with recommendations if you're interested! We also sell organic pasture raised eggs, organic produce and organic baked goods on the farm. Pets are welcome, but must remain leashed/under control at all times. We are embracing of diversity and welcome all to share this special space.

Mother Earth Organic Farm
We loved Mother Earth Organic Farm! The farm is beautiful (particularly so in the fall!) and the campsites are well-maintained. We spent two nights there and our kids had a blast. The hosts were great communicators and very friendly in person. We came from DC and it was an easy 1hr drive to reach the farm. I would definitely recommend camping here if you’re looking for a nice escape from the city.

I love how private our campsite felt. The hosts were easy to communicate with but also left us alone. The wildlife was so much fun to see and hear. We even got to see a very large male Turkey. During good weather the light pollution is minimal making it great for star gazing but the lack of cell service makes it hard to use star gazing apps. If you are looking for a place to unplug and be left alone this is it.

If you're looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, look no further. Mehra and Adrian's organic farm is just that. A hidden gem in the hilly terrain of Western MD! This marked our second visit in a month's time and it was just as magical as the first. Mehra and Adrian offer a safe, private getaway for anyone looking to get lost in nature. Soothing winds, sunny skies, fresh air, and lots of open land. They provide everything you need for a restorative timeout. 10/10 definitely recommend and we've officially added it to our list of favorite sites in the area. Thanks again Mehra and Adrian!

Mother Earth Organic Farm
Our time at Mother Earth's Organic Farm was perfect in so many ways!!! Mehra and Adrian are the warmest, most welcoming, amazing hosts! Their land is so beautiful and we felt privileged to share it with them for a few days. Private. Minimal cell service. Tidy. We fed their goats and saw the neighbor's cows grazing throughout our stay. We encountered some pretty intense weather (rain and wind) the weekend we visited. Mehra and Adrian responded with such care and empathy when the winds destroyed our canopy. Despite that setback, our time there was so restorative. We got lots of sunshine, we stargazed, and we cooked over the campfire. Truly magical! Many thanks to Mehra and Adrian!

A favorite hipcamp so far! Great host family, very private and extremely well maintained camp site with thoughtful amenities like the amazing toilet and the tippy tap and the pay as you go firewood bundles at your site. Walk 50 yards to get WiFi...so its an opportunity to take a break from connectivity, but its there if you must. We will make this farm a regular camping spot!

Mehra and Aaron, and their farm are wonderful. Quiet, yet close to Hagerstown, Frederick, Thurmont, and Boonsboro. There's lots to do in the area, and even on the farm. Either of their two sites are great, spacious spots to get away.

Camping with Farm Pasture Views
We were serenaded by Barred owls and Screech owls while we watched the Perseid Meteor Shower. I made friends with Beatrice (goat) and we nicknamed a rooster (Rufus). This was easy to get to and the host accommodated us nicely. With so much history down South Mountain, our daytime activities were plentiful. Great stay

Nice clean camp site. Great fire pit area with stumps for seating and the umbrella with lights was perfect at night time. It was just far enough away on the property where you had plenty of privacy but didn’t feel out in the middle of nowhere.

We had a great stay. We brought our cyclocross bikes and were able to ride them on the grounds as well as on the nearby roads which are beautiful. The campsite is very private and thoughtfully laid out. The composting toilet works great. The solar shower is a revelation. The tippy tap is a great idea. The coffee that was provided was excellent, as well as the delicious rosemary bread. We could not recommend the organic farm more highly, and we appreciate very much the efforts of our hosts.

Wonderful welcome with packet full of information! Beautiful view of hills and local farm. Loved the wash up station and the compost toilet was like a real bathroom complete with a rug. Beautiful outdoor sanctuary.

Highly recommend! The campsite was really well maintained, with a fire pit and composting toilet and really even ground and short grass for the tent. Plus the farm itself is lovely and the hosts were responsive and helpful! Would love to come back and try the other campsite. Thank you!

The camp site was perfect for our group of four and a dog! It was super private and Mehra and her family were absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed the well-maintained facilities, fire pit, creek, and starry sky. We'd be back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful private setting. A little tricky getting our 26 ft travel trailer onto property but well worth it . One suggestion would be a better sign at the driveway. We passed right by it .

I loved camping at Mehra's farm. It is very beautiful, spacy and privacy. Grass was fresh cut. My kids had great time feeding the goats. The cat was very cute and friendly, we did'nt have a chance to know her name b/c Mehra was away during our stay. Shower and outhouse was nice too!

We regularly camp and loved everything about Mother Earth Farm. Mehra is super friendly and accommodating. The whole family greeted us and was very welcoming. There is nothing like fresh eggs and we enjoyed a dozen from their farm - they were delicious! We stayed on site #1, which will be our choice the next time we come to the area. It is not only very private, but buffered by a line of trees. This not only increased privacy, but when a windy rainstorm came through, it helped with minimizing the impact of the storm. Access to the farm is very easy and grass is cut; our four wheel and all wheel vehicles had no problem going up and down the hill pictured in the listing. We took a crew of little ones hiking on the AT, which the trailhead is right down the road about a mile. With small children we were afforded the ease of not intruding on others with all the noise that comes with kids, not to mention peaceful quiet at night that didn’t wake them 🙂. They also played in the small creek and had blast running all through the large campsite. We also love fell in love with the dark sky at nighttime.. The location is perfect for access to Greenbriar, Cococtin Mtn and multiple other hiking areas / parks. We are a backpacking crew, so we are used to off-grid rustic. If this is your game, then we would highly recommend Mother Earth farm through and through. We loved it so much and hope to stay again when we check off other sections of the AT in area.

What a pleasure to bring our small RV to Mehra's organic farm and meet her wonderful family. We parked in the more private location (bring your leveling blocks if you have a camper!) and had a fire pit, a tippy tap station, access to firewood, a compost toilet for urine, a solar shower and lots of privacy. There are excited goats to feed and a beautiful little stream flanking the property. It is quiet and open and lovely with lots of trees, sky and stars. We took advantage of fresh eggs which were delicious and even met some new chicks. We will definitely be back to this lovely haven!

Great campsite for a group of friends to camp for the weekend. There is tons of space for tents, and the space was lovely and very quiet. Would highly recommend. The farm fresh eggs were delicious, too.

I didn’t arrive till late and it was already dark but the hosts were able to leave me clear instructions on where my campsite is located and how to get there. The campsite was set up where you have wonderful views of the changing fall colors of the trees. You can see all the constellations, shooting stars and planets at night. Our campsite was clean and roomy. The hosts were amazing! Very good communication and even checked up on me to make sure I was ok. I lived my stay here and would love to come again.

Mehra's property is in a beautiful location and exactly what we needed for a fall weekend with our kids. Our campsite was near the back of their property and offered plenty of space and privacy. The nearby farm animals and cats were a big hit with the kids and there were lots of family-friendly activities nearby to fill the day. There is no cell coverage on the property, so we really appreciated their Wifi access up near the house for periodic check-ins. Look forward to returning soon!

I loved tent camping here! It is very private and quiet. The fire pit was amazing. I usually always have at least one complaint about a campsite. But I don’t have anything bad to say about this one. I would definitely come back here. You will not be disappointed if you stay here!

Lovely spot with lots of cool features, great for tent camping. The sun shower and compost toilet were both awesome to have. It was also nice to be in a field but along a tree line so we still had spots with shade during the afternoon. The surrounding area was really beautiful and scenic we did some driving around and visited the state park which were also nice.

Gorgeous views and vivacious goats made this a perfect starry overnight trip. Face ypur tent toward the pond fir an imcredible sunrise view. The provided amenities are great: clean table, safe fire ring, and not to be gross but....I have used many a compost toilet, this is the five star Hilton of latrines. Our hosts were kind and extremely helpful. The site is an easy drive that our prius could handle.

We just spent a week at Mother's Earth Organic farm with our RV and were blown away with the site . It is privately situated large area behind the farm surrounded by trees . The field in the middle was filled with butterflies. We enjoyed everything about our stay . The outdoor bathroom , shower and fire pit area were just a few of the awesome amenities we enjoyed . So much to explore and enjoy . We enjoyed the fresh eggs and delicious bread (delivered right to the site) Conveniently located by a few parks with awesome rides. We have stayed at over 100 places with our RV all over the country and without a doubt this is our favorite... Can't wait to return.

Just perfect. We went with 6 adults, 1 toddler, and our dog, and everyone had an amazing time. The camping space is beautiful, large, immaculately maintained, and private. I was most worried about having enough shade on a hot June weekend, but we just followed the shade along the edge of the field as the sun moved, and we were fine. The composting toilet is both private and set up so you have an amazing view. We enjoyed watching the cows in the next field over, and we enjoyed the various berries growing around the camp. We met Mehra’s kind and welcoming husband at check-in, and we thoroughly enjoyed the farm box we purchased in advance. We were sad that we stayed for only one night. We will absolutely return for a longer stay.
