Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.

Urban oasis minutes away from NOLA's best destinations- rent bikes for a beautiful spin to the French Quarter or Superdome; walk to Bayou Saint John, or explore our historic neighborhood of Treme and nearby St. Claude and 7th ward. Our cozy yard is perfect for a couples retreat, or a small family or friend group to pitch a tent, and explore the city and neighborhoods. The yard has a small primitive shelter, a bathtub you can fire-heat or take a cold plunge or hose shower in , charcoal grill, and composting toilet. We are animal rescue moms, and can help accommodate your fur babies during your trip as needed. Funds raised go towards our fostering and TNR efforts!A quaint urban oasis- 15 minute walk to famous poboys, Bayou Saint John and fairgrounds, 10 minute drive to French Quarter and Stadium! We rescue and fundraise for local animal rescue groups; and have a vibrant garden to wake up to! Come as a couples retreat, or a small group of friends- 2 small tents or one large tent would do the trick!

Allowed rigs: travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, pop-up campers, class A RVs, class B RVs, class C RVs, campervans, cars, truck campers, and rooftop tents

Ample parking along the side street Dorgenois, camper vans are common. We are happy to move our cars so you can have dibs to park in front of the house, but it is first come first serve! Neighbors frown upon parking in front of shotgun houses overnight if you do not live there.

Off leash. We are very involved with local animal rescues and have an older dog and cat / the occasional foster dog who may come out to say hi if you have friendly pets or are ok with a furry greeting! If not, we will leave the yard for you :)

Compost bin, recycling bin, trash bin. We compost, and have curbside recycle and trash pickup!

Cooking equipment present

Grill over firepit, bbq, private, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, basic seasoning and oils, sink or other dishwashing station. Coal or wood grill available for use, as well as fire pit. Basic grill supplies- a meals supply of coal, lighter fluid, lighter, utensils and mess kit. Hose, biodegradable soap and washing station available.

No showers

We have a cast iron bathtub that can be fire heated and is truly magical with a little bit of fire building skill! Or the hose reaches it for a cool refreshing bath!

Fire heated cast iron tub if you are willing to make a fire and let it heat for an hour!
