This is the second time we have stayed here and both times we had a wonderful experience. The site is well maintained and there are great trails to explore. Tons of dry firewood and flat ground for a tent. Highly recommend.

It was great. Close to the street but only two cars went by the entire time. Directions were great, it was easy to find. We had plenty of firewood and a beautiful night to gaze at the stars.

Great experience this past weekend. We dodged thunderstorms, but the ample firewood really helped keep the fire going!! Kids liked the short hike down to the creek, and fire pit with bench. Quiet location, probably heard 4 cars drive by total (Saturday evening). Chemical toilet on-site is a plus!

Private location, clean, good directions. Recommend that the gravel where we parked be spread out to allow a little more room to park. Nice platform for the tent and nice to have wood ready to burn when we got in late. Very close to Kincaid lake where we had a lovely picnic lunch.

The spot is beautiful. We enjoyed setting our tent up on the dry deck and sitting for hours around the beautiful fire pit area. The site is only a few feet from the parking, but it feels as if you are miles in the woods. The host was very helpful during our stay. He even recommended a place to eat. I highly recommend!

Dan was a great host, he went out of his way to make sure the site was mowed before we arrived and there was plenty of dry firewood. Be aware that the main site is very close to the road and while there isn’t a ton of traffic, you are quite exposed. If you’re looking for privacy, definitely go to the more secluded site in the woods. My only big complaint is that at the main site there is a very active yellow jacket nest in the ground a few yards from the fire pit. Two of our dogs were full-on swarmed and stung multiple times. I don’t think I’d personally stay at the main site again but the wooded site would be great for a solo trip.

My friends and I had a great time staying here!! It was very private and secluded from the road. The fire pit and provided seating made for a great night under the stars. We will definitely be coming back.

Dan was great and had communication with us about everything. Was beautiful watching the stars and checking out the lake. The dogs were in heaven and not having to get firewood ourselves was the best. Have fun and book with Dan!

Awesome campsite. Great hiking trail on the site itself, and really convenient to Kincaid Lake. Saw at least 5 different kinds of dragonflies, and I think what was a family of wild turkeys sneaking past my tent. Well worth it.

Dan’s place was very nice and clean. The area was opened enough but surround by woods at the same time. The short trail was a nice addition. Would recommend to others and come back again.

Great campsite! Nice setting for families. Clean restroom, lots of firewood, close to Kincaid Lake. Bring plenty of water during your stay, and enjoy the peace and quiet! We would definitely return!

This is a beautiful property to spend some quiet time outside. Sunset is gorgeous, the sound of turkeys and coyotes, stargazing, this property has it all. I highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay on Dan’s land. The firepit is good size, there was a nice spot for our tent & the picnic table came in very handy. The short walking trail on the property was lovely too. It was super private & quiet and very close to Kincaid Lake State Park for additional outdoor recreation. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay here despite some inclement weather. Dan was very accommodating and provided us with plenty of firewood, which came in handy when the storms rolled through. We enjoyed exploring the property, walking among the cedars and mosses, and discovering the remnants of an old farm. There is enough cell reception to get directions and stream music. Kincaid Lake State Park is just minutes away, and we enjoyed hiking and kayaking on the lake which was just beginning to show some stunning fall color. Watch out for deer!

We had a great time staying on Dan's property! It was a wonderful quiet place to relax and just enjoy the outdoors. There was plenty of cleared space for a tent and the fire pit setup was perfect. We also enjoyed wandering along the trail that loops around the property and exploring the old buildings. We definitely plan on coming back!

Great spot for camping, well maintained, plenty of wood available and a nice small trails in the wood, which is a nice playground for kids. Only minus I would see is that the fire pit (same area where we put the tent down) is next to the road, but this road has limited traffic. Close to the state park and several farms! Overall, the fire pit area is very nice, plenty of space for tent(s) and you can easily fit a hammock a couple of meters from the fire.

Great little pull-off in a winding area of farmlands. Site is fairly close to the road but the camp area itself is hidden by a large line of trees and shrubbery, so you may see headlights pass by occasionally, but it felt very private. Was the perfect spot to boondock during a road trip. Would definitely stay again if I'm back in the area.

The site was good ,but a little to close to the road. Turns out not to be a big deal. The road is blocked by trees and the last car came down the road at 8PM. Dead quiet after that. Very nice to have a Porta-potty and table.
