We felt very welcomed, it's a beautiful and secluded property with a beautiful creek for canoeing or kayaking. We had clouds but i expect the stargazing would be spectacular. Lots of songbirds and deer, beautiful fall color. Perfect temporary home for hunters, we met a few, fascinating for us city people. Bathroom and shower clean and warm. There is a large sheltered area with chairs and grills in case of inclement weather. We didn't meet the donkeys but could see them across the field. Recommended!

Misty Bottoms is hands down one of the best campsites where we’ve ever stayed The site is incredibly well-maintained and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable, relaxing stay.
The grassy area was perfect for our tent (and great for RVs too), and we really appreciated the electric hookup and potable water access. The bathroom was impressively clean, with a hot shower and even toiletries provided — a rare find at most campsites!
We loved gathering around the fire pit in the evenings (firewood included!) and spending time in the shelter, which had everything from hammocks, tables, and even a refrigerator. It was a great spot to hang out, rain or shine.
The views of the sky were stunning — clear and wide open, perfect for stargazing, and the sunrise and sunset over the Green River were absolutely magical. The whole environment was peaceful and quiet — ideal for a relaxing getaway.
Hosts Travis and Tena were incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They clearly care about making this a special place for visitors, and it shows.
We will definitely be returning. We highly recommend Misty Bottoms to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped nature retreat!

Misty Bottoms exceeded expectations. Make sure to book for more than two nights, like us. Plenty to do in the area we wish we could have done and this was a great home base.

Misty Bottoms was great! The hosts are friendly and hospitable but don't invade your space/privacy. There's a great covered spot to hang, play games, cook etc if the weather takes a turn or you just need shade. The bathroom was clean and the shower is a great added amenitiy. We would definitely stay there again!

I really like the set-up of this place! The camp site is nice and level with direct access to the river. It was quiet and peaceful during my stay.
Tena had great communication prior to my visit, and showed us where everything was located upon arrival.
I hope to visit again later in summer and paddle on one of my favorite rivers in all of Kentucky.

Our family had a truly memorable week at Misty Bottoms. We brought our camper and stayed on-site, and it turned out to be the perfect spot for a relaxing and fun-filled getaway. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful—wide open fields, a peaceful river nearby, and the most stunning sunrises each morning. Waking up to that view every day felt like a dream.
Our kids had a blast exploring the area and playing outdoors. There’s a large pole barn on the property with a clean bathroom that includes a shower, which made our stay even more comfortable and convenient. The barn provided much-needed shade during the hotter parts of the day, and we were pleasantly surprised that it had toys and space for the kids to play while we relaxed.
The hosts, Travis and Tina, were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and welcoming. They made us feel at home right away and were always available if we needed anything, yet gave us the space to enjoy our trip. Their warm hospitality really added to the experience.
I especially enjoyed taking quiet walks along the river in the mornings—it was peaceful, grounding, and a perfect way to start the day. The whole property was very well-kept, peaceful, and full of natural beauty.
We absolutely loved our stay and are already looking forward to coming back. Misty Bottoms is a hidden gem—perfect for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking for a quiet and refreshing escape.

This was a perfect spot for my pop-up camper and Tena and Travis were perfect Hosts. The river access and views were amazing. Travis even offered to let us borrow a couple kayaks and took us and the kayaks upstream a couple miles in his truck. We had a perfect 3 hr paddle back down to the campsite. He didn’t even charge us, although we did leave him a tip for his trouble.

This a great spot to camp when kayaking Green river. We put in at the spillway and went about 14 miles and this camp site was right on the water. We were able to set up our tents, hang hammocks, use the grill to cook out, take showers, and have electric. We got right back on the water the following morning and went another 13 miles to take out at the paddle trail take out in Greensburg. This is a perfect place to make a weekend trip and have a good place to stay while kayaking the river. The host was available whenever needed and made sure to be in touch and asked if we needed anything. They were very easy to work with and so nice. We will be back when we make our next trip down the river.

Easy to find. Easy to get setup. Hosts were very welcoming. Site is down by the river with a path to walk down to explore. Bathroom was clean. Best hospitality we've had in awhile.
