Tent Camping Sites at the Hitesville Opry House are close to deer and goose and duck hunting areas, only minutes away from Kentucky Wildlife Areas. Union County provides over 24,000 acres of hunting and wildlife opportunities within the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Management Areas. With an abundance of wild game and beautiful landscapes, Union County is known to attract outdoorsmen from across the country. Hunters can expect to find deer, dove, wild turkey, squirrel, and other wild game. Lake Mauzy, located within the Higginson-Henry Wildlife Management Area, and other area lakes offer anglers a wide variety of species, including crappie, bass, catfish, and bluegill fishing. The variety of angling opportunities are sure to satisfy any fisherman. Sloughs Wildlife Management Area Sauerheber Unit is just minutes away with some of the best Goose and duck hunting in the region.

Like camping with family!

Tent Camping with Farm Views

This place was fantastic! The host, Dick Wolfe, was so friendly and accommodating. He had a great campfire already going for us when we arrived. Plenty of extra firewood, access to electricity, and perhaps the cleanest portable bathroom I’ve ever seen. It’s a family business, and Dick makes you feel like you’re extended family. We will be back this way, and we’ll be camping here!
