Anna was very friendly and very flexible! She offered multiple spots for us to stay on the property. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean and fit our needs!

Such a beautiful, serene place

I'm on a long road trip with my two dogs, and this was one of my first stops. It's a beautiful place, and Anna was gracious and helpful. The Garden Shed is basic but workable, with the bathrooms and kitchen right across the lawn. My dogs loved walking the mown paths around the extensive property, including a quick dip in the pond for my black lab. They also loved meeting the sheep, which was a whole new experience for them! I highly recommend Anna's place - there are a couple other nice cabins if you don't have dogs.

The work restorative work Anna is doing to her land is inspiring, particularly the wetlands around the pond--gorgeous! Recommend the farm tour option.

This is one of my favorite HIPCAMP places to stay. Anna and Dave are wonderful hosts, and have multiple options for where I can place my car/tent. This last visit I stayed in a lovely stand of trees full of quite the assortment of sounds. Before that I was close to the hilarious sheep on property. I picked up some of Anna's Elderberry glaze that she makes- that too was wonderful.

Beautiful farm and warm welcome. We set up our tent in the garden shed and had a great stop on a long drive. Can't wait to try the homemade vinegar. Thank you!

This is absolutely our favorite place to stay on our drive across the country. There is truly something magical and nourishing about the land and the curating they have done to the farm. We always wish we could stay longer.

Truly Magical Land

Anna is such a lovely human I am grateful to have had beautiful conversations with her. She hosts magical lands with firefly’s lighting up the sky at night. It was so peaceful and truly a beautiful space. The kitchen lounge area is stunning and the showers and bathrooms are clean. Highly recommend this beautiful land and beautiful people that govern it. Beautiful location, extremely friendly and accommodating host. We stayed the large cabin which had a bathroom and kitchenette. The was also a larger shared kitchen area we used and lounged in. Everyone was comfortable and rested when we left

Willow Pod

The farm is a beautiful place to visit. I love the mix of camping types, allowing use both tent and cabins. The conservation areas are beautiful and Anna is a wonderful host. The Farm tour is definitely worth the price as an add on!

Hey we had fun, it certainly was an adventure for us...It is 'just a shed. but that is what we were expecting. No ementies, no bed so we brought our own. Fun stay, even our dogs enjoyed it. Next time we might try one of the other bookings there.

Great place to reset!!

Indigo Pod

I had an amazing stay in the Indigo Pod on Anna’s property! It was a perfect place for a reset after the busy holiday season. It was quiet, comfortable and relaxing with no distractions. I was able to journal and catch up on some reading during my stay. The supply of hot tea and kettle were a lovely touch. I enjoyed a cup as I watched the fog roll over the Iowa farm fields in the mornings. There is also a community kitchen where I could prepare nutritious meals instead of getting take out. Being able to roam the property and be in nature also helped with my holiday reset! I highly recommend Anna’s place to anyone wanting time away to refocus and relax. It has everything you need without the distraction!

One trip and I fell in love

My friend and I stayed in the flower shed. It was one of the few locations I could find to stay after the college football game. When we returned after the game, the shed was lit with a beautiful set of 3 door frames with branches and lights. The soft lights helped in relaxing after the game and were soft enough to leave on all night. Only a young girl at heart could have thought up such a wonderful place for people to stay and relax, if even for a one rainy night. I can't wait to come back and stay when the flowers are all in bloom as the pictures show. This is a place one can come and disconnect from the world and sit enjoying the peace and quiet of the surroundings. Looking over my calendar for next year planning a few weekend trips already!!!!

Great folks. Very hospitable. Nice kitchen setup and bathrooms available. Back to the land mindfulness and educational. Wonderful to fall asleep listening to the rustling leaves.

Perfect weekend

A great weekend getaway on a peaceful farm. The communal kitchen was so nice to have, the flowers around the shed were pretty, walks around by the sheep were fun, and the farm cat was friendly. All the camping fun with some nice added comforts.

Peace & Quiet

A true farm setting in amid beautiful corn fields. We stayed in the Shed as we have two times before. The Shed was a comfortable place to set up our sleeping bags. We travel with a couple of tent options and since we were spending only night, we set up our two-person backpacking tent in the Shed to ward off the mosquitoes. Anna and Dave are wonderful hosts and gave us plenty of privacy. Restrooms and showers were close by. We keep returning here for for the peace and quiet. Staying here is pure relaxation. You just want to hang out and soak up the serenity. We will return.

A Wonderful Farm Stay!

Anna's property and the garden shed was the perfect place for our family to stay while exploring the area. They have turned their property into a fun experience for travelers to explore and have a unique stay. We slept wonderfully in the garden sheds with our cots and blow up mattresses and awoke to a beautiful farm morning. The kids loved playing with the cat and checking out the sheep and cattle.

This is a beautiful working farm close to Iowa City, yet in a very peaceful, quiet area. We enjoyed waking up to the bleating of the sheep. There is a friendly cat, and the hosts are very welcoming. Will definitely stay here again! The indoor hot shower was also much appreciated after days on the road in our van!

We had a short stay on Anna’s farm, she was very accommodating and helpful. We felt cozy even in a crazy thunderstorm. The shared bathrooms were clean and we didn’t have a chance to use the shared kitchen but it looked great as well with complimentary tea.

Easy to find, and access to Anna's dye studio (which housed the bathrooms and showers) was fascinating, as well as a comfortable place to get out of the heat. Anna was a great host - I enjoyed learning about her fiber art work. Private, quiet, and safe site.

I am extremely low maintenance when I stay places and I mainly just do some work, walk my dog and sweep my van. I absolutely LOVED my stay. Great place to walk with my dog. Cool things to explore and super relaxing and serene. 100% will stay again!

What a beautiful stay! A gorgeous farm with room to roam, plenty of shade, and a sweet kitty to snuggle! The kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms/showers were so nice to have. Lovely hosts. Would definitely stay again!
