This is a very private and quiet place, more of a sanctuary and not a party place. The only thing you hear is nature, a breeze through the pine trees, the birds, and the creek. This property was and is an organic permaculture farm in the forest. There are two orchards and an organic garden. The water is from a spring. The La Luna cabin is no longer off grid, but if the power does go out, it's a great place to be.. Hot Showers at my cabins are private and outdoors. There's nothing more wonderful than a hot spring-fed shower. The toilets are composting. (No water is wasted here)! Two of the cabins were built from the trees on the property by the first family that lived here in the earlier 1900s. The Birds Nest cabin was originally a tool shed that needed a LOT of Love to be in the condition that it is today. It does have power, running water and wi-fi. There is the option to take an acrylic painting class, banjo, guitar or fiddle lessons, paddleboard lessons, and have a real old-timey campfire with a glass of wine or two with live music performed by our famous Fiddlin Red on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Your experience here may change your life forever! We haven't added all the experiential options yet, so if there is something you are interested in please inquire. Every year we make it more and more magical and interesting. It's four miles up a county-maintained dirt road and one mile to a non-motorized lake. I can't see my neighbors, but they are awesome artists and musicians and some of them are off the grid! If you're bringing a pet, they must be on a leash and be quiet pets. If you are bringing a child they also need to be quiet and respectful. I want to keep my neighbors and my other guests happy with a peaceful atmosphere. Thank you!

Pitch your tent or park your RV or camper.  There are outside solar lights, a fire pit, and a composting toilet if you're not fully contained. There is soon to be an outdoor shower. Jewel lake is one mile away. Sandpoint is a 35-minute drive and Priest River is 25 minutes away. Round Lake is just 20 minutes toward Sandpoint. Priest Lake is a 50-minute drive and worth seeing!

This is a two-story rustic Tiny Cabin. It is very private and surrounded by the forest. Off the beaten path, but only 1 mile from a beautiful lake. The lake is a great place to swim, fish, kayak, or paddle board. Lots of places to hike from this property. Round lake state park is close by and many other options in the general area. Tons of wildlife. Last summer, we had a resident Mother Moose and her twin calves! There is an outdoor instant hot water shower, with towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. There is a small outdoor fire pit, built in cooler into a work station table, gas grill, and a propane tabletop Coleman two-burner stovetop.  The kitchen is outside but sheltered with running water and power. The composting toilet is outside under cover, and the wood-burning stove is inside. It is set up with dishes, pans, old-time coffee percolator, cast iron pans, hot water tea kettle, paper towels, salt, pepper, olive oil, etc. This cabin has power and antique chandeliers, and a few outlets now inside and outside. It has cold water only running to the inside and outside kitchen sink. There is hot water maker for tea, coffee and dishes.. There is also now a frost free water spicket just outside the front door. A Headlamp or flashlight is helpful as well as flip-flops for the shower. Please don't forget to let me know ahead of time if you're bringing a pet. There is an extra pet fee, Thanks!

This is a little Bunk House that has been  remodeled. It sits up on the hillside and overlooks a new orchard, the forest, some distant mountains, with some fantastic sunsets! It is on a twenty acre property along with a few other cabins, all our private from each other. It is set up mainly for couples (2 people) there is a fold down couch that would sleep one more small person no taller than 5-6". It is $25 more for a 3rd person per night. It  has a small indoor kitchen with a medium size fridge, 2 burner electric hot plate, Percolator coffee pot, electric kettle for tea or hot water. There is cold running water with a live edge kitchen counter top.  There is highspeed wifi,  brand new memory foam Queen size bed in the loft, wood stove, kitchen table with seating for two. Indoor sink with cold water only. Beautiful Earthen floor, hand troweled, faux finish. The shower is a hot outdoor shower and composting toilet about 20 steps away. There is outdoor seating, and gas outdoor grill and a small table to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sun go down. This is a quiet sanctuary (not a party place) It is one mile to a quiet non-motorized lake. Great for swimming, fishing, paddle boarding etc... 3O minutes to Sandpoint. Please note (in the winter months Nov-April the outdoor shower is winterized and not usable. If you need a shower you can book an appointment at the main cabin up the hill from this one.) Thank you!

Beautiful Cedar Tree's surround this cabin with a distant mountain view. Four skylights lets you have a view of the understory of the Cedar forest & stars that light the night sky. A wood stove for extra atmosphere & heat. A two person hot tub is just steps away from the deck. A well maintained road (even in the winter) that winds up the mountain. 30 minutes to Sandpoint, 31 miles to Schweitzer, & 55 min to Coeur d'Alene. Fishing/swimming & Paddle boarding one mile away at a beautiful non-motorized lake.

Private setting in the forest with an outdoor kitchen as well as one inside. This is an almost new trailer that has been converted into a very cozy living space. It has had almost no use. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It has it's own private hot outdoor shower as well as one inside. The toilet is outside near the trailer. (it is not hooked up to septic). It has power, heat and air conditioning. It has everything you need to cook meals, with a spacious fridge and freezer. Guests will have aces to at least one private acre. It is only 1.5 mile to the nearest lake down a dirt road where you can swim, paddle board, kayak, and fish. It is a motor-less lake, so very peaceful! We have three paddle boards here that you can rent and if you're more comfortable we do offer a one hour lesson. There are 20 Acres here. There are two young orchards and an organic garden. The land has a creek that you can hear running in the fall, spring and part of the summer. It is a heavily treed property with Cedars, Pines, Firs and Western Tamarack. Sandpoint is 30 minutes away, Priest River is 25 min. Coeur d'Alene is 55 minutes and Spirit Lake is 35 minutes. The Canadian border is 1.5 hours away.

Peaceful Cozy Nook DownUnder
This was such a beautiful experience all around! My husband and I absolutely recommend this spot if you love being in the forest while enjoying the benefits of having water and electricity still. The compostable outdoor toilet was actually quite nice too! We appreciate that she cares about our beautiful planet which is so importantto us personally. This was a much needed getaway and she responded quickly when we had a question while we were there. Awesome place hosted by an awesome woman.

A peaceful escape surrounded by nature! The little cabin was nestled in the woods, it was very cozy and private. Mornings with birdsong, hummingbirds humming around feeder and evenings under a sky full of stars made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway. The Phoenix Rising Ranch is a special place. Lori was a great, sweet host.

A quiet getaway for our family. The stars were amazing at night. Our tent was surrounded by nature's beauty with wildflowers and greenery everywhere. A quick trip to Sand Point was easy and convenient for a short exploratory afternoon away. Lori was very friendly and gave a quick tour upon arrival.

My wife and I really enjoyed celebrating our anniversary in this quiet, beautiful cabin. The outdoor kitchen was great, the cabin itself was super cozy, and it had everything we needed! Lori's art was incredible and would definitely come back.

Amazing, wonderful, peaceful, clean
La Luna Rustic Cabin
So quiet, safe, private, and relaxing. Easy to get to, spotty cell service (which is perfect to get a vacation from technology but still able to call or text for emergencies) Lori really has built a beautiful property, and there is an overwhelming sense of calm at this cabin. I would definitely return. 10 stars!

The cabin was so clean,had all the modern conveniences (w&d), full bathroom, internet, stove) but was charming as could be. The property has views, trees, rolling hills, garden, wildlife, serenity and gave us a deep sense of calm. There were also many windows and skylight windows in the cabin. We woke up and had our coffee in the hot tub while enjoying the view. LORI is an amazing host,she is incredibly kind and her dog Dakota was very sweet and affectionate. Close to jewel Lake for swimming, easy access to outdoor activities and CDA. Precious Place, highly recommend!

Quiet wilderness Area. One lake nearby. Good fishing with a dock. Great for tent camping driveway is not recommended with a trailer. Lori was a wonderful host. We enjoyed our stay.

Thr Big Cabin and hot tub were so nice! We really had such a relaxing get away. All thr comforts of home. Lucking out with Northern Lights while we enjoyed the hot tub was surreal. The property is in a gorgeous area. We saw some wild bunnies hopping around the forest. Enjoyed greetings from the Owners sweet dog. Explored the property a bit before bugs and mosquitos got too friendly.

This is an absolutely lovely place. The cabin is darling; it's like a little house for elves. It's rustic but has everything you need. There are little battery powered lamps, an outdoor kitchen and shower, and the cottage is super cozy. Lori's sweet dog Nevada visited us and our dog periodically, which was a nice bonus!

Charming, peaceful, beautiful space. The cabin itself is cozy and sweet, and the setting is enchanting, filled with flowers and hummingbirds and butterflies. Lori was a gracious and responsive host. We went paddle boarding with her, which was super fun and relaxing. Definitely recommend!

Cozy Birds Nest Cabin
The Bird's Nest is a beautiful place to spend the weekend. Lori has included everything you need for cooking and sleeping. There is a extra little heater in addition to the wood stove that keeps the place nice and warm and the outdoor shower is wonderful. The cabin is well laid out, so although it's tiny, the space feels open. Perfect for two people. We had our dog, Simon with us and he loved playing with Lori's puppy Nevada, who was eager to greet us! The cabin is located right next to Lori's home and a larger cabin that she is building. It's off of the road and feels like a little commune. There are beautiful hikes and trails in the area, which seems quite remote, but only a quick 25 minute drive to Sandpoint. It's very exciting what Lori is doing with her land and I'm looking forward to staying there again!

Permaculture Paradise!

Lori's property was a quite, serene place ideal for getting away from the bustle of city life. Her permaculture set up lacked none of the comforts from home (her hot water for the outdoor shower heats up faster than mine!). Our site, the Bird's Nest, was clean and charmingly decorated upon arrival (with paintings by Lori herself on the wall) and the woodstove was more than ample to keep the space warm at night. We got to see lots of birds right outside our window as well as other animals just outside of her property. A truly peaceful place to unwind, I would absolutely recommend any of Lori's sites to other campers. The sites are situated in such a way that you aren't overlooking other campers, though you may cross paths with them during the day if they happen to be there at the same time as you (my boyfriend and I didn't have this happen as we spent our days visiting local parks, like Round Lake State Park which is very near Lori's property). If you are a dog person, you are also in luck as Lori has two VERY cute dogs, that was definitely an unexpected bonus! On top of being a quite, sanctuary-esque retreat, Lori's property is close enough to Sandpoint, ID that we were able to drive into town to try out the local restaurants (their food game is strong) on the couple of nights that we didn't feel like cooking (but the kitchen is well set up to cook if you prefer that.) Thank you, Lori, we had a great time and definitely hope to make our way over to you again!

Great private getaway!

Such a cute little cabin. We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary and spent two nights at Lori's cabin. It has everything you need. Great place to get away and enjoy nature. We loved the outdoor shower and sitting at the cute table for two outside the cabin door.

This is a very sweet spot, Lori has made such a special property. There is a lake just down the road to enjoy as well! I loved the outdoor shower and the cozy cabin. 10/10 would stay here again.

Enjoyed every minute of our weekend! The weather was not cooperative, but in spite of it, the trip was a wonderful, quiet get away and chance to unplug. This cabin is very small and cozy; the perfect size for a family of two and small fur babies. The woodburn stove was a great feature that kept us warm and dry. We enjoyed visiting with Lori and appreciating her art. She is a very thoughtful host!! We will be returning and I highly recommend for anyone needing a quiet weekend to unplug and relax.

Serene off grid escape

Absolute gem! We welcomed the new year at Lori’s cabin and it was perfection. You can feel the heartbeat of her artistry through thoughtful details in the cabin and its rustic charm. It was very cold and snowy when we went, so we just snuggled in and enjoyed the space. (The pot belly stove kept us warm for those who are interested in coming in the winter - just be prepared that it is “rustic” and you need to keep the fire going ☺️) Lori is a great host! As mentioned it was a cold one for us, and she was very communicative and accommodating to make sure we were prepared and warm. Amazing stay!

We loved our stay at the Birds Nest! It was the perfect balance of nature and simplicity with the conveniences and little luxuries that made it incredibly relaxing, cozy and peaceful. Lori was so responsive and even though we never saw her, we felt very well cared for.
