Welcome to our “Peaceful Pinecone Grove” campground on a tranquil, secluded 3-acre homestead with myriad outdoor recreation activities nearby including: + Silverwood Theme Park and Farragut State Park, both a 5 minute drive + The quaint community of Bayview and beautiful Lake Pend Oreille, 10 minutes away + Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint, both 30 minutes away + Super One Foods, ACE Hardware, an urgent care center and a gas station, along with Highway 95, just about a mile away This spacious, level, shaded back-in camp site provides all necessary hookups for your camper or trailer: electric, water and sewer. Wifi is provided as well. The space is most perfect for “van life” folks, designed by a host with her own glamping van that she keeps on the property. Having your own self-contained bathroom on board is preferred, but you are welcome to use our outhouse with a compost toilet and camping sink/water that will be cleaned and replenished every day. You’re welcome to pitch a tent or use the hammocks under the trees. There is a walking path through the woods, an outdoor clawfoot bathtub for cold plunges, and a trampoline. We’ll provide a couple of lounge chairs and a side table as well. On the homestead we grow a large selection of vegetables, fruit and flowers for the local farmers market. We also have a rooster and chickens that provide fresh eggs, and 2 VERY adorable tabby kitties that you’ll see roam the premises. You are welcome to visit the garden and stroll around, but please keep the garden gates shut for deer protection. You might enjoy a relaxing break on the bench in the herbal garden. For your culinary needs, please inquire about our commercial kitchen that is attached to the garage - it offers a 3-tier-sink, big fridge, freezer, toaster, water kettle, coffee maker, coffee thermos and various dishes and utensils. Homemade breakfast can be available upon request (coffee/tea, homemade German style bread or pretzels, jam, farm fresh eggs, freshly squeezed juices). Please refer to the pictures for an idea of options. Breakfast is $20 per person and needs to be booked two days in advance. We also offer kayak and SUP rentals for $25 per day. The Peaceful Pinecone Grove is a flat opening to a private little cove in a tall pine forest, perfect for privacy. Guests will enjoy this area of the property to themselves, with a little path through the forest, access to a compost outhouse, potable water through a hose, a hot shower, electricity through the RV panel on the garage side (we can provide extension cords), a kitchen with all amenities, and a trampoline nearby.

Our cute inflatable "Happy Trails Hideaway" glamping tent on a platform under the string lights provides all necessary items for your camping stay in the woods: two twin beds with cotton duvet-style bedding, drawers for your personal items, and storage under the beds. You will find towels and camping lanterns in the basket, and two chairs and a table outside. We provide Starlink Internet. An outhouse with a compost toilet and camping sink/water, as well as a shower with hot water, are available. Outdoor recreation includes an old vintage bathtub for your cold plunges, a big trampoline, lounge chairs and a rocking chair, and a walking trail through the woods for your forest bathing experience. For your culinary needs, please feel free to use our commercial kitchen that is attached to the garage. You will find a 3-tier-sink, big fridge, freezer, a small burner, pots, toaster, water kettle, coffee maker, coffee thermos, and all the dishes and utensils you will need. An assortment of teas and coffees is provided. Please make sure you return all the dishes after your use into the sink in the kitchen. The water in the kitchen and in the outdoor hose is potable, it comes from a community well. We can provide ice upon request. On the homestead, we grow a large selection of vegetables, fruit and flowers for the local farmers market. We also have a rooster and chickens that provide fresh eggs, and 2 VERY adorable tabby kitties that you’ll see roam the premises. We really enjoyed our stay here. The campsite was quiet and peaceful, with a camping shower and access to a kitchen. Constance was a gracious host. We will visit again if we are in the area.

The Happy Trails Hideaway

The glamping setup is cozy, extraordinarily clean, private, and thoughtfully arranged. Your consummate host, Constance, has created something truly special here. She is warm and welcoming, has thought of everything you might need, and is genuinely interested in sharing both the homestead and the Athol community. The atmosphere on the property is relaxed and peaceful—perfect for reading a book, having a cup of tea, or taking a nap. We enjoyed visits from the cats, Cashew and Peanut, as well as the chickens wandering about. Having a full kitchen available was a huge plus, and the location was ideal for us, as we had family in Rathdrum, Post Falls, and Coeur d’Alene. Constance’s add-on German breakfast is homemade and superb—pretzel bread, fresh eggs, almond milk, and juice. It was a wonderful way to start the day. This isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s the kind of stay you remember because of the person behind it. We’d happily stay here again.

Amazing garden, very quiet and secluded for a place 5 minutes from major attractions. Very friendly and active host that really saved our trip. Can't recommend highly enough. We will definitely be booking a site here again in the future.

Our family of 4 had a great time. Constance was an awesome and friendly host. If she offers you some of her fresh German pretzels you are in for a treat. She made sure we had all we needed and her commercial kitchen, clawfoot tub, and outhouse made camping a delight. We will be back again as it was a perfect base camp for our Silverwood adventure.
