Rachel was really kind and very responsive to my messages to help me figure out which site would be best for our group! The porta potty on site was the cleanest one I have EVER seen, and the land was so beautiful. The sites were a bit closer together than I thought they would be, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that we couldn’t hear anyone else at all from ours. Honestly it was the perfect set up- private camp ground, picnic table, fire pit, bathroom, beautiful view of the lake, short 15 minute walk into Harrison for ice cream and swimming. The only bummer was that on the first morning of our stay we were woken up at dawn by loud sounds of the property next door doing excavating/logging work, which continued for the better part of the day. We recognize that this was totally out of Rachel’s control so no fault to her, but just something to keep in mind as I’m not sure how often that happens. It didn’t happen the second morning which was nice, however there is a rooster somewhere very nearby who is definitely an over achiever at his job.. he crowed with all his might both days haha. To some extent it was nice as it added to the out of the city feel, but after several hours of him crowing while trying to enjoy the quiet we did wish he would have settled down for the day haha.

Overall we had a great time and were the only ones at the campsite. It was clean and quiet and the port a potty was very clean. We did get told off by a neighbor who didn’t like that we had started a fire in the fire pit even though there was no active fire warnings and the fire department members that were nearby told us we were fine to use the fire pit. Just a note for anyone walking down to the town, there was a section of the road that cars were going pretty fast down and we didn’t feel comfortable crossing so we walked back and drove into town. It was maybe slightly more than a mile walk back and forth to the point we turned around so not very far.

The campsite was very nice and the view of the lake was amazing. It was enjoyable to wake up to the sound of the birds singing and the insects making their noises. The campground is also next to the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes which is a very nice trail to ride the bike on. It's also down the road from the town of Harrison which is nice for eating and beers. The campground was clean and well kept and the toilet was also. I enjoyed my stay here and do recommend if you are in the area.

I actually stayed in campsite 2 - generously offered by the host as I was the only camper booked for the 2 nights I was there. Excellent location for a biking adventure on the Trail of the CDA. I had good cell reception at the site - better than anywhere else in the area. All the eateries were closed Mon & Tues as it’s still very early in the season-glad I had some dehydrated meals in my stash. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay in such a place

Beautiful spot! Clean/quite camp and awesome touch adding the farm fresh eggs which made for a yummy breakfast :). Right by the bike path. We plan to return!

We had a great experience at this campground. It was beautiful, clean, quiet, peaceful, and a great place to stay for our couple days of biking the Trail of the CDA. Rachel was so easy to work with and communications with her were wonderful. Highly recommend this campground!

The directions were very clear on how to get there but we easily passed the turn off. I didn’t have any service but was able to get enough service at the end of the road to check the address and saw that rv slots were too far past where I was supposed to be. I turned around and saw the small Hipcamp logos for tenting. I ordered eggs and firewood. Upon arrival the host was there to greet me with the items. Unfortunately there were 2 cars and a hammock hung up in my slot at campsite #1. They didn’t know who they belonged to since we don’t input our license plate number (That would be a great idea for the future) and no one was there. We weren’t supposed to have any camping neighbors on our visit so they weren’t sure if these people were there from the night before or if someone had snuck in. Because they couldn’t figure out whose cars were there we got to pick which ever slot we wanted to camp in because no one else was supposed to be booked during our stay. We chose slot #4 which looked to about double the size of slot #2 and I was actually glad it worked out that way because we had enough room to spread out our tent, bbq and table, our own porta potty and still have room away from the fire pit where we put our chairs. Porta potties are provided later in the season and they do have trash bins. We tied up our 2 small and 1 large dog to the trees to play and set up our hammock. After raining, the small inclined walkway became slippery. This was awesome! I havnt camped in years.

Great spot. Very close to the bike trail. Primitive but clean, well maintained and easy in and out. We were the only ones there but there's plenty of space between the 3 sites. Brand new.

Great stay with a lake view

We had a great stay at site #5. We really enjoyed the sunset view and the proximity to the shops in Harrison. The site had some road noise during the day but it quited down nicely at night. We were napping in our hammock and were woke up by a group of.turkeys standing 5 feet from us!

The site was great. Close to town, close to trail. Easy to book the site, clean washroom (port a potty). Very quiet and great views of the lake and beautiful sunsets. Would gladly camp here again.

I stayed in campsite 1 with my roof top tent and it was great. Nice big pad for a tent if you've got one but if you've got a RTT like me you can backup as far into the parking spot as possible and you'll be nice and level. Campground was nice and quiet all night long. Even had a few deer hanging out in the vacant campsite next to me. Would definitely stay here again

Lovely view of the lake and a nice campsite. Harrison is a cool little trail town. Recommend the museum and the ice cream shop! I do wish the campground had better signage. We came in at twilight, and drove by the campground twice looking for a sign, but didn't see one. Something visible in headlights would be a big help!
