Come nurture your soul at our off-grid cabin OR our grid tied cabin with modern conveniences. Surrounded by majestic conifers, you will find yourself in a forest paradise. Make time for bird watching, star gazing and watching wildlife enjoying their natural habitat. The cabins are both situated in a very private setting opposite our main house on our 32 acre property. We are conveniently located off Hwy 95, 7 miles north of Athol, ID. Spend your days exploring nearby Farragut State Park (7 miles), Round Lake State Park (15 miles), Sandpoint (20 miles), Coeur d’Alene (30 miles), or Silverwood Theme Park (9 miles). There are multiple dining options from breakfast to dinner within 7-10 miles. We have kayaks available upon request as there are multiple small lakes (Kelso and Granite Lake) less than 5 miles away. We are generally available and on-site 24/7 for any issues, questions and or problems that may need solved. In the case you forget anything at all……we can find it, fix it or provide it. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Some exceptions could be accommodated for additional tent campers in the same group on a case by case basis. Please reach out if you have a special circumstance. Looking for modern convenience and a private setting? A cozy studio style perfect for couples or small families. Sleeps 2-3 people, extra sleeping arraignments can be made. Situated on 32 beautiful forested acres that is home to lots of wildlife, has lovely walking trails, and plenty of privacy to enjoy a quiet get away. There is a simple kitchen set up stocked with all the basics, refrigerator, tiny freezer, induction cook top, toaster oven, coffee maker, dishware and all pots and pans. Bathroom consists of on demand hot water shower, sink and toilet. Clean towels provided. We utilize an off grid, gravity fed filtered rain water system with on demand hot water. Drinking water is additionally filtered through a Pro Pure stainless countertop filtering system. Heating is done primarily via a wood burning stove with a small supplemental electric oil heater as back up. There is no AC, however the bungalow stays cool in the summer as it's built into the hillside. We also provide some fans to keep you cool on those really hot summer days. Sleeping arrangements include a queen pull out couch and a twin pull out couch. Both pull out couches have a premium memory foam mattress designed to make them very comfortable and feel like a traditional bed. Bed linens will be provided, sleeping bags and additional bedding can also be provided upon request. If your bringing pets please add pets to the "extras" at checkout. Come nurture your soul at our off-grid cabin. Surrounded by majestic evergreens you will find yourself in a forest paradise. Make time for bird watching, star gazing and wildlife making their way through the property. The cabin is situated in a meadow setting on our 32 acres. We are conveniently located off Hwy 95, 7 miles north of Athol, ID. The cabin comfortably sleeps 2. There is a twin bed up in the loft, down below is a full futon for sleeping. Bring your sleeping bags and pillows, or linens can be provided. The amenities are rustic, composting toilet, outdoor bucket shower, there is no electricity inside the cabin however there is ample lighting powered by 20V batteries. There is a 20-amp outdoor receptacle located in the driveway. Mobile Verizon data works okay as there is no Wi-Fi. There is a small kitchenette stocked with compostable plates, sliver ware and pots and pans. Outdoor propane grill with 4 burners and a side boiler for cooking meals. Drinking and potable water is provided, the small kitchen sink is powered by a simple foot pump. Rainwater collection system is in place to store water for our variable temp (depending on the sun) outdoor shower. We currently do not have refrigeration in the cabin. Super 1 foods (with everything from a hardware store to sushi) is conveniently located 7 miles away with many other dining options. There is a wood burning stove inside to keep you cozy at night. There is also an outdoor fire pit to enjoy the peaceful evening nights while star gazing (pending drought conditions/fire ban in our area). Plenty of scrap firewood is available and on site. Spend your days exploring nearby Farragut State Park (7 miles), Round Lake State Park (15 miles), Sandpoint (20 miles), Coeur d’Alene (30 miles), or Silverwood Theme Park (9 miles).
